The default countdown timer on the phone has the most annoying sound when the countdown has completed. I have attempted to find the file assuming it was a simple mp3 or other sound file but I'm guessing it is not.
Has anyone had any luck finding this file and changing it? If so, can you list the path name?
If it isn't a simple file, does any one know how to change the notification?
Just to clarify, this isn't the Alarm function on the phone nor the stopwatch. This is the countdown timer (represented as an hourglass within the app). I use this quite a bit when cooking and could really use a way to change the notification sound.
Evan
My suggestion would be to use a 3rd party app as the built-in one will require root to modify that notification sound.

I've actually already rooted the phone as I assumed finding the file was just a matter of looking in the correct place.
If that is your suggestion, what app would you suggest? The 1 thing I need is to have a clock and date widget on my homepage. When I click the clock widget, I need it to go to my alarms, stopwatch, timer, etc. When I click the date widget, I need it to go to my calendar.
I have a widget (Retro Clock/Date) that does just that but I can't tell the widget to open up a different app when I click on it.
Beautiful WIdgets does exactly what you described, plus it is beautiful Not sure if all the features are in the free version though as I have paid.
Would also like to know this.

My guess would be that the audio sound you are wanting to change is in the APK of the clock app. To change you would have to decompile, find and change the audio file, recompile and then install on your phone. Should be in the system/app directory.
I would recommend Timely. It's a beautiful alarm clock app with a timer and stopwatch, plus a widget just as you described.

So, I'm new to WiMo and I just got an HD2 this last week. I've been looking around and I couldn't find a way to do this so I thought I'd ask.
I want to add more than 3 alarms to for my phone, and I want the app linked to the button on the Home Page (the little alarm button) So if it can be done with a reg edit and work with the stock alarm that would be the best solution, but if I have to use a custom app, I'd like to access the app by pressing the button on the home screen.
Is there any way to do this?
thanks

I use g-alarm which is a great alarm app alternative. It writes "ghost" alarm entries in the default windows alarm setup so they appear on your home screen. You can have more than 3 (not sure how many though) I also use cookies home tab mod which allows (among other great things) for me to assign the alarm icon to open up g-alarm.

Same here...I found a few super annoying mp3's to add to the mix.
ive been to g-alarm site. does g-alarm allow for diffrent alarm tones for each alarm? is there an alarm app that will let you chose which alarm sound you want for each alarm?
thanks
So there's no way to add more windows alarms without using any 3rd party applications?
I would really like to keep using the default alarm, but with more than 3 alarms..

I imagine it should be possible. Looking at the registry, it should be possible to add more via registry. The only thing that I can see keeping that from working is a mode9 or lua limitation.
Of course... Windows Mobile also could be restricting this from being possible as all the Sense UI really does is overlay the Windows Mobile alarm system.
Yeah, I was searching the registry for anything about the number of alarms, and as of now, nothing....
I actually gave up and downloaded KLAXON off of OpenMarket. It's free and works great. Plus with CHTEditor, i was able to use it as the default alarm AND it even shows me what time the next alarm will go off on the home screen. That was the biggest reason for wanting the stock alarm.
I'd give KLAXON a try, since it's freer, and it has a built in alarm sound that is one of the most annoying alarm sounds I've ever hear. Even annoying enough to get the Mrs. up at 6:00 am
As above, I can get sounds to work for ring tones and notifications, but after a couple hours, they stop working. Anyone else or any thoughts? Maybe g2x isn't supported by this app yet like tango?
Funny cause mine work. I downloaded Zedge last night (first time user) and downloaded a bunch of images and notification tones.
I set my background and notification tones up and they are working great. Maybe use a File explorer to find the actual downloaded files and move them to the proper folders so they appear in the stock settings selector. I think they go in SDCARD/ringtones.

Thanks, I'll try again. Did your set them as default tones in zedge or through settings-sound-etc?
Gotta set them through Zedge.
When I originally installed it, and went to Settings-Sound and clicked on the dropdown box, I had a popup to choose with program to use Zedge or Android. Out of habit I chose Remember Android, which the stock list won't display Zedge tunes.
So just set them through the actual Zedge app once you download them.
I nevr set mine thru zedge and all my ringtones and notifications work fine....
sent from my G2X with no regrets
Seems to be working fine for now. Maybe just a factory Rom gremlin or something. /shrug
Wearable Widgets (beta) for Gear 2 is just out on the Samsung store. You can now use any mobile widget to show up on Gear 2 screen. The feature is really great and you can also control the widget from gear 2 like pass touch inputs to phone.
I have enabled zooper widget and use it to show time and weather and call tasker objects.
It is a bliss on Gear 2
Check it out.

Awesome
This is a GREAT app!
Awesome app! One of the most useful apps available. Thanks!
SUPER ! ..Can I just add one widget?
Awesome. I installed it immediately. Off course for Tasker. I use Launch-X widget in which i create the shortcuts. But i find it to slow, especially when the phone is off.
I also used it to display my tasks, so i could read and fill in the items into another task app. Of the first section it was perfect. But when the screen of the watch is off and turned on again, the widget is reset for the first items. Not to the last scrolled position.
You can add only one widget per device..
I use zooper to add only my functions as a single widget.. Calendar, time , date , battery life and tasker icons

If you read the first post, you'd know the dev of this app isn't the OP. To answer your question though, the dev left this on G+
"Clarification for Gear 1 & 2 owners: Currently, the Wearable Widgets app has two editions, both with a significant limitation:*
• The one available through Google Play (including this beta group) does not support Gear 1 & 2 devices.
• The one you can download through Samsung's app store (including via the Gear Manager app) only supports a single widget at a time.
The reasons for this are complicated, but are generally due to a number of restrictions that Samsung has put in place. We are working to develop a solution to both of these issues, and will release it as soon as we can - but for now, this is how things stand, I'm afraid.
Thank you for your understanding, and your patience."

Just change the setting for what is shown on wake to last app / screen.
That means I need to go to the wearable widgets app continually before I am 'done' doing whatever I'm doing
The developer has indicated they are working on the ability to make this a watch face. I am looking forward to that update.

This just rocked my world... I don't know why I didn't think of that. Duh. Thank you.
Thank You
That's great, Thank You.
As I've been using it - I actually don't mind having it not be the main watchface. What I've done instead is make it accessible from one of the 9 shortcuts from the Multi-Watch "swipe-up" launcher panel. That way I can still have the customizable watchfaces of multi-watch, but when I want I can launch an info panel widget that has time, date, watch battery level, currently connected wifi SSID, current weather w/ 5-day forecast AND my next 3 calendar appointments. Using a customized Zooper widget for this. I've made a request to Zooper to allow adding Google tasks list items and the phone's volume state to a widget.

i tried it
first, fantastic work on this app. it's clean, it's RICH in features and options. it really can cater to all kinds of sleepy heads !
if I could formulate one criticism: the font used for the clock itself, showing the time and the countdown is very different from the app's alarm font itself, and doesn't look very "alarm clock"-ish. I think it would probably benefit from being a little different, more in the clock styles. (Or given the many options you have, maybe allow for selection of the fonts for the clock!)

Fantastic so far. Well done. My favorite is the mini game and the material design.
Looks nice.
I looked through the options menu, and I cannot seem to find a way to disable the alarm clock icon in the status bar. Did I miss something? All of the other alarm apps I have tried have this. I always have alarms set, so I don't need it taking up room on my status bar telling me that I have it on 24/7.

Hi,
This preference is at the bottom of the settings. It is called "active notification". There is three options and you can select none to remove completely. The one hour before notification is very useful to skip the alarm if you are already awake [emoji6]
Thanks,
Fran.
I set it to none last night, have an alarm set for 8:00, and the notification just reappeared at 7:00.

In my S5 works well. Could you try with the "Always when an alarm is active" option? Then check if a active notification is shown always.
Then set to "None" again and add an alarm for one hour and a minute from now and check again if the notification appears after a minute. If it does, it doesn't work in your phone.
Please, let me know what's your phone if you don't mind.
Thanks a lot!!
Fran.
Thank your for this great alarm app!
I really like your app because of its rich customization.
I especially like your "simulated sunrise" feature, because I am that type of person that gets up with light or brightness rather than sounds.
Would it be possible to add a pre-alarm "simulated sunrise", e.g. 30 mins before the alarm rings the display brightness slowly increases?
I charge my phone during the night, so battery consumption is not an issue for me.
I would really appreciate such a feature as it's pretty unique in the alarm app market.

Thanks @DeVisible. The pre-alarm is something I have had in mind since almost the beginning, but it is something I have to do it as well as possible and because of this I've never seen the moment to start implementing this feature. However I will try to do it for the next version

I will try that later today.
I had a hard time shutting my alarm off this morning. I had it set to draw a triangle, and I had to draw a triangle 3 times to get it to go off. My wife was watching me do it too, and confirmed that I was drawing triangles. I will let you know if I have the same issue tomorrow.

Is there any way to make it so that I can name the alarms so that when they go off I know why they are going off?
I have been using Alarmdroid for years, but their newest update broke some things for me and I would love to switch to a new one. To get this app to be my daily alarm app, I need a way to name alarms, as I usually have 5-10 alarms always set for different things.

I tried to do this, I set an alarm for 2:42pm at 1:41pm, and I had it set to always show active. I then set it to none, and it stays there.
I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 using 4.4.4 (my model number is in my signature as well if you need that).

There is an app on the market for $1 that lets you put costome ringtones
And whats the name of this app?
This is it just in the search
Custom Ringtone for all Gear S3 models and Gear S2 3G/LTE.
Guide:
1. Install the phone side app.
2. Kill the gear app if it is minimized.
3. Tap the first button inside the phone side app.
4. If connects successfully, you will see the waiting for file screen on the watch.
5. Pick the mp3 file on your phone.
6. Transfer complete. You can swipe to the right to set it as ringtone. Swipe to the left to delete unwanted files.
Okay, thanks!

Should be in a folder called music as shown in the latest picture. But that difference comes with each phone or file manager
Another thread that goes on for pages without answering the question:
This is not about sending an mp3 file to your watch or setting a RINGTONE. Both are options readily available on the app menu.
This is rather about ALARM. Setting a custom mp3 sound for the alarm on the watch.
When it comes to alarm sound and I am repeating alarm here a couple of times, there are no Alarm custom sounds aside from the Samsung ones.
How does one get custom mp3 for the.....Alarm.
Is somebody able to identify paths for Alarm sound in Firmware Files?
I mean by unpacking Odin files and search...
Thanx in advance.
Best Regards
Edit 1.

Only 3 or 5 files...
But if I search for *.ogg... then many files...
Path seems:
Code:
