Wearable Widgets (beta) for Gear 2 is just out on the Samsung store. You can now use any mobile widget to show up on Gear 2 screen. The feature is really great and you can also control the widget from gear 2 like pass touch inputs to phone.
I have enabled zooper widget and use it to show time and weather and call tasker objects.
It is a bliss on Gear 2
Check it out.

Awesome
This is a GREAT app!
Awesome app! One of the most useful apps available. Thanks!
SUPER ! ..Can I just add one widget?
Awesome. I installed it immediately. Off course for Tasker. I use Launch-X widget in which i create the shortcuts. But i find it to slow, especially when the phone is off.
I also used it to display my tasks, so i could read and fill in the items into another task app. Of the first section it was perfect. But when the screen of the watch is off and turned on again, the widget is reset for the first items. Not to the last scrolled position.
You can add only one widget per device..
I use zooper to add only my functions as a single widget.. Calendar, time , date , battery life and tasker icons

Already rebooted my watch AND my phone. Still the same.

Works great. Will you be able to add the ability to have more than one widget per device? It would be nice to be able to scroll through at least 4 or 5 of them. Thanks for the hard work.

If you read the first post, you'd know the dev of this app isn't the OP. To answer your question though, the dev left this on G+
"Clarification for Gear 1 & 2 owners: Currently, the Wearable Widgets app has two editions, both with a significant limitation:*
• The one available through Google Play (including this beta group) does not support Gear 1 & 2 devices.
• The one you can download through Samsung's app store (including via the Gear Manager app) only supports a single widget at a time.
The reasons for this are complicated, but are generally due to a number of restrictions that Samsung has put in place. We are working to develop a solution to both of these issues, and will release it as soon as we can - but for now, this is how things stand, I'm afraid.
Thank you for your understanding, and your patience."

Just change the setting for what is shown on wake to last app / screen.
That means I need to go to the wearable widgets app continually before I am 'done' doing whatever I'm doing
The developer has indicated they are working on the ability to make this a watch face. I am looking forward to that update.

This just rocked my world... I don't know why I didn't think of that. Duh. Thank you.
Thank You
That's great, Thank You.
As I've been using it - I actually don't mind having it not be the main watchface. What I've done instead is make it accessible from one of the 9 shortcuts from the Multi-Watch "swipe-up" launcher panel. That way I can still have the customizable watchfaces of multi-watch, but when I want I can launch an info panel widget that has time, date, watch battery level, currently connected wifi SSID, current weather w/ 5-day forecast AND my next 3 calendar appointments. Using a customized Zooper widget for this. I've made a request to Zooper to allow adding Google tasks list items and the phone's volume state to a widget.

Good Day everyone,
We would like to introduce our first widget here to gather feedback from all the android user/developers in the forum.
Basically the concept is to provide a huge/big contact widget to make it earsier for user to make phone call under certain condition. (driving, or fast call using single hand). Beside that, this we also provide the features for user to choose their own skin/frames of preferences.
Below are the official description in the Market:
Create Simple Life - Add your favourite contact to your homescreen.
With this, a call or SMS to your favourite contact is just a touch away.
Boring with the dull Android call widget?
We provide you the option to choose your own preference of skin for your widget.
Feature Details:
1. Add 4 favourite contacts to homescreen
2. Option to choose either CALL, SMS or both action for ONE Touch event.
3. Option to choose your own preference of skin for the widget. (Random features also included)
4. Now you can make a phone call with 'speaker on' by just clicking on your contact.
As we still new here, we cannot include any screenshot and download link in this forum. Sorry.
You can download it by searching for "Contactz" in the market.
If you like it, please support us by giving your high rate in Google Market, recommending to your friends and forums.
On the other hand, we are looking forward to receiving your feedback and comment,we will keep working and make improvement from current version.
Please reply to this thread if there is any issue. We really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
Hi All,
Just as an update, we had just release a new version which have features as below:
1. Option to choose "Call with Speaker On".
2. Support contact with multiple phone numbers.
3. New features to crop contact photo to prevent unwanted image scaling.
Please email us if you have any issue
Help us to rate it if you like it. Thanks
I haven't tried it but it sounds like a great widget! Thanks! I'll be sure to keep my eye on this one just in case I need it.
Pretty good.
Works well on my HTC. Pretty useful when driving.
Keep it up!
Hi All,
February 3rd, is known as Spring Festival or Chinese New Year for the Chinese. In order to celebrate it, we release four very special and unique skins for Contactz.
Hope you all like it.
Help us to rate it if you like it.
Thanks
p/s: Valentine skin is coming very soon.

works well with my rooted g2 with stock rom : )

No go on HTC Desire with Oxygen RC7
Couldn't get it to work on my HTC Desire with Oxygen RC7 and LauncherPro Plus.
The widget seems to work OK but when I click "Done" there's no widget added to my home screen.
Only thing I would say is that when choosing the skin I wanted it clear so I chose no skin, but there's still a border around the widget. Also there's no option to change the colour of the contactz part to bring the options up, pretty hard to see black font on a black background. Another option you could release is an option to delete their names and just have the contacts pictures.

Nice app even nothings new. I dont like the skins. Some more minimal wil be appreciated.
The icon are to much big so this cause problems when I resize the widget.
1,93Mb are really to much for a simple widget.
I think that with small image contact space and nice interface it can be better.
For now I use Sense again.
Nice, useful!

Hi kroogar,
This widget require the whole screen, so if there is not enough empty space on the screen, the widget will fail to be added.

Hi SxcKieranGrr,
Thanks for the feedback. We will look into this new options.
Love this widget... thank you so much. Especially love the animation.
I'd like to make a request for consideration.... For those contacts with multiple numbers can a box like the "Call & SMS Option" with those numbers be displayed for selection? Up to 3 numbers would be great if screen estate permits.
Thanks again for an awesome widget.
Been looking for a widget like this!
Awesome widget! Works great on my Dell streak. I've been looking for a contacts widget like this with the single tap execute along with the eye candy. So far the "no frame" and "default frame" are my fav. My least fav frame is the "iphone". lol, it looks ok.
Suggestions:
-Create the option for a single contact w/frame as a 2x2 widget.
-More frame options to choose from. Maybe some other popular phone frames besides the iphone.
Thanks again.
Would like to try but it's hidden from my SGS Vibrant in the actual Market app. When I attempt install from the web based market, it says that my device is incompatible. Oh well.
Couldn't find it on android market. From web market was unable to download. using wildfire cm7. is it possible to upload the apk?
thank you guys. Nice app and love to try.

Hi
My application just passed certification process and wanted to share it with you.
This application is available to download for free on Samsung Gear Apps. Just search for "navi watch".
Imagine you are exploring new city or just going somewhere. To be most efficient you use Google Navigation to get to your desired place, but when you are in unknown area you need to look very often in your mobile to stay on path. During nice sunny day your screen brightness on mobile needs to be set on 110% to be able to see something on the screen and your battery discharges very fast(sounds familiar?).
Showing turn-by-turn navigation instructions directly on clock face eliminates the need to launch separate application every time when you look at the watch when navigating on your route. Turn-by-turn instruction with navigation image will be right there when screen turns on.
No need to waste battery on the mobile with screen on all time while looking for directions and keep your mobile in your hands all time, keep your mobile in safely in your pocket/bag and all navigation instructions are delivered instantly on your wrist.
How does it work?
It is integrated with Google Navigation using its notifications and it is necessary to grant notification access to "D.M.A Navi Watch" to be able to see turn-by-turn navigation instructions from Google Navigation directly on your Gear.
After that just start navigating to desired place on your mobile using Google Navigation and follow the navigation instructions on your Gear.
When you are not using navigation, the clock displays date and current weather information with beautiful animated icons. Display, font, colours are all configurable from the application on your mobile.
--Version 1.2
Fixed missing navigation instructions on Android Lollipop
Fixed screen not turning on before turn for some users
Added experimental support for Here maps
Here maps now works, but I don't recommend it. To get notifications on the watch, you need to make sure that the application is running in background.
Second issue is that when the screen is off, Here maps does not send navigations instructions after some time and you need to wake you phone to get current navigation instructions.
I'm working on fixing this, but hopefully Here maps will fix it on their side, I don't want to wake the phone automatically.
--Version 1.1.1(attached below)
Fixed vibation alert compatablity with latest Google Maps
--Version 1.1
Improved clock design
More and better navigation images
Added vibration before turn
Added display on before turn
Added battery icon
AM/PM or 24h time syncs with the device
Compatibility with Gear S

Quality word, if I had to say something, I would request a little bit more space between weather and date on the screen. But it is very nice work, this is now my watch face thank you !!
I searched for it and I don't see it... do you have a link for it??
update: Nevermind...found it... lol
Thanks for the feedback, I agree, it will be fixed on the next version. I was also thinking to put the date on top or bottom, what do you think?

Well, date and time together make sense to me, so I think it is cool like that. thinking maybe you could add battery percentage in a corner and bluetooth icon in another to know it it is activated or not (both possible to deactivate). I was not asking too much but you seem to ask for work so here are my ideas ahah, thanks for asking! I generally like to have as much information as possible on the watch when I turn it on...

Pedometer in another corner ? ahahah
Currently im working on more subtile display of the battery percentage, but yes BT can be added too(also configurable).

Not able to find the app in Gear App Store
Is this app available for US. I am not able to find the app in Gear App Store
Wow. This is one of the most game changing, useful, and well-made apps released so far.
Thanks so much.
I am going to try it out. Although, it would be nice to have the option to have it be separate as I like my watch faces and don't know if I want to change it every time I want directions, but does sound like a good idea. Good job!!!
Thank you all for feedback.
About the watch face and navigation, due to limitations on Tizen, currently it's not possible to have app that overlays on top of others(or I'm not aware of) like I did on my android application for the end of the world(search for "Doomsday - The last rain" on Google Play).
If it was separate app you would need to launch it every time when you look at your Gear during navigating on your route and that is what I'm trying to avoid, that is the reason why I added the weather widget. More options like app shortcuts or calendar events will be added in later versions.
Don't worry, I will think up something regarding custom watch faces.
I tried it on my Gear 2. Navigation is working and also showing the text in german. But I do not see the data and the time anymore only the weather is showing up. (I use 24h Setup)
Do you have any hint for me, please?
Update -> after reboot of Gear2 the time apears but still no datw
Also, I was thinking, if you make the weather forecast temperature smaller and put it on the left of the screen, you would have room for one shortcut for an app, woud that be possible ? I'm curious.. thanks!
Very nice app....thank you! Any way to use the clock on 12 hour instead of 24 hour setting? I can't a way to change that so far...I'm stuck on 24 hour setting. Again...very nice app! Works like a charm!!

It only shows 12 hour mode for me. Is your phone set to 24 hour mode by chance?
Hey what's up guys. I saw today that android wear has a way to pay for your drinks at Starbucks with your watch. I was seeing if we have any good devs out here that can make this possible for our gear 2?
I can't find any app that I can use a widget with wearable Widgets so that's out of the question :c....
Anybody?
Edit: I've found a solution.
Open your Starbucks card in the Coffee Card app found in the play store. (has a little android holding a cup)
Screen shot the barcode, crop it to just show the barcode.
Then using wearable Widgets app for Gear 2, select picture frame widget and select your cropped bar code. Now you can scan that at the checkout :good: ?
Yes, someone figured out the screenshot the barcode trick quite a while ago, but I never tried using Wearable Widgets to show it. Seemed faster for me to just open the gallery app as I made the barcode the very first pic. Wearable Widgets always had a bit of lag to get to my widgets so I save that for other items.

Yes I see that they added some improvements recently. The problem is the more widgets you add for it to sync, the more lag and overhead is introduced. I'd rather reserve that for the dashboard widget I made and my home automation widgets. That way there's less taps/swipes to get to my starbucks code - as right now it takes me a swipe and 2 quick taps to show the code and with my Wearable Widgets setup, it would take me a swipe and 3 at the minimum.

I have mine set as a 3rd widget on my watch. I have the wearable Widgets clock face. So I have the cLock widget as my watch face, a calendar on the second and my code on the 3rd.
So I turn on the watch and tap it twice to get to mine.
I'm hoping the development can port over the feature he has for Android wear, where you just tap the side of the watch instead of touching the screen to change the widget.

This thread is pretty old, but based on another thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/gear-s3/tried-starbucks-app-t3669596 this is still an issue for Samsung Gear/Galaxy watches. There is a starbucks app now for Samsung - see the thread above.
What concerns me is that it took 4 years for an app!?! I'm wondering how small the Samsung market share must be when major brands don't even bother release an app for Samsung. (Android + Apple have had this a long time).
Since Tizen is Linux based, maybe someone will add a compatibility layer to allow Wear apps to run on Tizen. They will be slower, but at least there will be useful apps
Something like MS Office Wear watch face?
Thanks!
Look for "Calendar Analog" in the Gear store - just calendar events, not email. Only one I've found. There is a digital version by the same author, IRRC. Looks like attached. If you have multiple events the date and time info is suppressed and you just see events.
I wonder if Samsung plans to add the feature to allow complications on the watch faces much like Android Wear.

Nice - that's on a Gear S, right?
The only thing I haven't liked about Wearable Widgets that you can't see the widgets directly in the widget list (have to launch the app and then scroll to see widgets) but aside from that limitation, it's a pretty amazing app.
Yes, this app works on all Gear Model.
Gear 2 :
I use WW to see info that have not app in the Gear Store. Example to see lunar info because the Lunar Phase App for Gear is not available for the S2.
I've used WW w/a calendar widget I like...text is a little small, but readable and scrollable.
I'm a woodworker and I use my watch to control the 240v aeotec switch that controls my dust collection. It works well except the Wearable Widgets seems to always lose connection with my phone as well as being incredibly tiny to press the buttons needed.
Are there any better options available?
IMO, your best bet is to get Watch Maker and make your own mod on a watch design to put in Tasker buttons and use tasker to control your SmartThings (through the plug-ins). I have mine set up for my Wink system and I find it a million times better as it doesn't disconnect like Wearable widget/Trigger or TaskS2.
If you want a simpler method, Trigger is a viable option too but you need to set it up through IFTTT
You will be very happy soon if you'd like an app...an native Tizen SmartThings app to control routines and switches is in progress by a SmartThings forum community member.
It's community development, so we don't have/expect an official timeline, but his most recent post indicated he was getting things ready to start beta testing.
https://community.smartthings.com/t/gear-watch-smartthings-app-development-thread/73122
The option using WatchMaker to enable tasker actions from watch faces is also good, but it can be a maintenance PITA if you like to switch watch faces and try new ones frequently - then you'll have to keep editing each face you want to use to add the tasker tap actions, and if you use a watch face that the designer has locked down then you can't edit it. I'm using tasker tap actions from watch faces now, but looking forward to the native app so I don't have to keep updating things...

As mentioned in the other reply, TaskS2 is also an option, the app gives you access to Tasker actions on the watch. It works pretty well, but can disconnect and need to refresh sometimes.

Mine is even worse. It loses the settings all the time. The list of widgets is empty.
It is a new version 6.0 (Android 6.01 BTW) I think.
When opening Wearable Widgets on Note 5 I get the "choose widget" screen.
