ATT HTC OneX evita: only one rom will install...
The only rom I can get to install without failing is: BeanStalk-4.4008-20131129-evita.zip
I've tried all these:
BeanStalk-4.4015-20131204-evita.zip
BeanStalk-4.4.215-20140116-evita.zip
BeanStalk-4.4.205-20140104-evita.zip
BeanStalk-4.4.200-20131219-evita.zip
I wipe everything except sdcard. Then try to install just the BeanStalk-4.4.200-20131219-evita.zip. I get the following error:
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/BeanStalk-4.4.200-20131219-evita.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/BeanStalk-4.4.200-20131219-evita.zip'

And then a big red "Failed" It is the same on all the ROMs.
Like I said, the only one that works is: BeanStalk-4.4008-20131129-evita.zip
Any help would be great! Thanks.
I love the BeanStalk ROM, I just want to keep movin on up...

Hello, I am fairly new to XDA so, I do not know much. But I am fairly knowledged on technology so just say what you may to help out.
I rooted my HTC One X (Evita) And I installed Cyanogenmod 10 . Now I wanna install cm10.1 nightly, now I installed the
M-2 Release and went back to cm10 now I hear there is a HBOOT requirement.
Now, what would happen if. I tried the nightly (boot loop)?? Because I wanna try it and I don't really trust any other dev except AOKP. Thanks!
There is no requirement. But if your on hboot 2.14 from either a ruu or your hox came with 2.14 then you need to downgrade your touchscreen firmware. The thread is sticked in original dev section. You should be fine flashing the nightly

No you wont get bricked but if your not soff you will need to flash the boot.img of the ROM in question in fast boot because your on 2.20. All the instructions for flashing will be in the roms thread in the first post.

This is true. I am on 1.14. I flashed about four roms. If you are stuck in bootloop, then just reformat /system and /data, and reflash, and then use fastboot the boot.img. Most of the CM roms requires it. But, I seriously suggest you get S-OFF, while you can. It is worth it, and makes life really simple. The link is in my sig

You have the middle eastern variant of this phone, none of the firmware/hboots/radios etc from the normal version are compatible and will most likely brick your phone if you try to install them. Basically, you can't run any aosp ROM because you can't flash the necessary upgrades. It's unfortunate but you're stuck with Sense ROMs.
The problem is that there simply aren't enough of the middle eastern variant around so there is no development specifically for it, so all you users with that variant are kinda stuck coming into this forum where not everything is compatible.

I keep getting errors when attempting to flash. it says something like:

do I need to downgrade my hboot firmware to install this rom?
thanks

There's no such thing as hboot 2.20, that's your software version. You need to upgrade your firmware by running the 3.18 RUU. It does state that very clearly in the CM thread. You must have s-off to do this or you'll brick.

I tried getting s-off with the facepalm method and had no luck. I had no erros other than the ones expected in the instructions. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe my firmware is too old. I now know that my kernal version is 3.0.51.

Is there your phone get s-off?
I installed with S-ON and got the boot loop.
To S-OFF, I had to install a 4.2.2 ROM and Revone. I am 1.44 Hboot. Used CWM 6.0.4.5.
Thanks for the heads up. Did fastboot boot.IMG solve?

I flashed the boot.img using fastboot but I'm still bootlooping. Have S-On with GOOGL001 CID right now, have not been able to get any S-Off tools to work.
Same here... flashed boot.img but still boot loop after installing ROM.
I can get it to work with S-OFF (have to downgrade to 4.2.2 to run Revone).
OK thanks I will work on getting s-on installer proper. I have installed with both twrp and cwm. So s-on has got to be the issue. I will get back s-on and figure this out for you guys. I'm not sure if super cid is needed or not so I'll look into that today. On another note deodexed is almost finished.

Appreciate it, thanks! For what it's worth, I've never had any issues flashing other ROMs with S-On. I was running a CM11 alpha ROM with no issues before wiping and restoring everything back to stock 4.3 Google Edition and trying to flash these official 4.4 builds.

Yes you can flash any ROM. Your firmware is pretty old so you'll need to update it to whatever each ROM requires.

How can i do that, so i just need update hboot? and how can i?
If other things require updating, please can you provide the link on how to?
Thanks
No, not just the hboot. The hboot is only one component of the firmware. You need to run the 3.18 RUU, this will set you up for all aosp ROMs. If you want to flash a Sense 5 Android 4.2.2 ROM you'll also need to flash the 2.15 firmware. I don't have a link for that but there are a couple of threads you can find it in if you search.

TWRP needs to be version 2.7 to work otherwise the flash will fail. I don't remember where I downloaded it, but I don't remember seeing that version listed on our forum, only 2.6.x.x
Twrp 2.7.0.0 can be downloaded from their website. Literally search "Evita Twrp 2.7.0.0 img"
