Testing now after a fresh install and so far all seems to be working. Even though I can't find an option for screen sensitivity settings, the default seems to be the same as extra high in CM10.1 which I'm very pleased about as I couldn't abide using anything less! Thanks very much for porting this @pawitp

Screen sensitivity setting is removed and defaulted to "very high". Power mode is moved to performance settings.

Good work pawitp, just a quick question. Does USB OTG work on this?
I'm not sure if there's a problem with my usb connection. Thanks.

What are you trying to use? There are minor changes with the implementation, but I've tested it with my thumbdrive and it works.
I was able to use TWRP to flash without any problems.
Everything seems to be working great.
Thank you.

I've tried it with a usb2 and a usb3 thumb drive, both won't work. checked the cable too with my phone but it works there. Probably it's the port in my A700, seems a bit loose...thanks anyway

If the usb port is working, usb-otg should work. Does the thumbdrive get powered (flashing LEDs) or not?

Then that's beyond the scope of the changes in cm 10.1 and cm 10.2, and is probably a hardware issue.
First of all a big thanks for your work! It is great to see, that development hasn't died yet on the a700.
Until no I am on stock rom, because my tab is relatively new and 4.2 seemed to have some performance issues because of the additional bar at the top of the screen introduced in 4.2. Based on what I have read, the stock Rom is the one which feels most fluent, so I keeped it.
Now my questions is, how does 4.3 behave? On my Sensation 4.3 brought very noticeable improvements over 4.2.
I don't need multiuser support or any other functional feature 4.3 might have, I'd only like to know if this rom would improve the overall user experience which today is a bit laggy here and there (time until the keyboard is popping up etc.)
Thanks in advance
Martin

Did you reboot after plugging your device in? OTG has only ever worked for me after rebooting or powering on with the chosen device connected via otg cable. Both with the A700 running cm and my phone running the same cm.

Performance is roughly the same as 4.2. I'm regretting getting this instead of A510 which would be really smooth.
By the way, can you scroll smoothly in Google Music on stock ROM?

For me fhd was a must have and the A700 seemed to have a good value for the money. I should have read some xda threads before buying it but it never came to my mind, that a quad core tablet could be laggy.
Google Music scrolls fine, but my library isn't very large..
I think I'll try your Rom and see how it goes. Only need to get rid of my girlfriend first

so is this better than 14?
Thanks Kali!
Currently running RC2, and everything is working very well. Running the stock radio, and HSUPA is obviously working with a Speed test of 2.1 mbps up. The issues with the proximity sensor I had experienced with earlier nightlies has been cleared up as well. I have ran all day at 1401 MHZ, and battery life has been fine. The ROM feels smooth, and I just posted a Quadrant score of 2250, for those that are interested in that sort of thing.
I've ran every other ROM out there, including the new ones based on the leaked HTC Gingerbread build. No other ROM feels as smooth as CM on my Inspire.
I did do a full wipe (including Dalvik) before I installed RC 2, which may account for the complete absence of troubling issues. The only thing worth noting is that you need to reboot the system after the initial setup BEFORE you connect to wireless. Not everyone has reported this issue, but I have had to do this every time I run a fresh install of CM.
So flash Tom and Google addon. There is no sound or GPS fix needed, correct? Haven't flashed cm7 since #11 so was excited to see this post.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
Yep - the audio/gps fix is already included in RC2. :-D
the dsp fix version 5 still requires you to run google voice dialer to initialise the fix, otherwise the command returns the aic3254 status ON. fix is still broken.
close! I'll wait for the battery drain fix then jump aboard

I'm aware that a true DSP fix is in process and not yet implemented; Blaine was asking about the audio/gps fix we had to flash on the pre-12 nightly builds.

the fix states,
Version 5 no longer requires Google's voice search or voice dialer to be used once after every reboot to correctly initialize the fix

this is what i was referring to, and it is NOT true. you MUST still run the google voice dialer to initialize the fix, or it will still pull 200+ mA, and the dsp chip will NOT turn off. sorry for the confusion.
Great to know, appreciate the input. Downloading now

flashed, and with the screen being off most of the time in a little over an hour i went from full to 85%, thatsd a litttle too much so i will wait until a proper battery fix is released and then happily flash this again as i liked it alot
big deal breaker is no group sms or one that i can figure out. also deleting threads one at a time or delete all. no way to select which ones
wish there was calibration settings for the keyboard recognition and the g-sensor like the stock rom has.
After flashing this i cant seem to get a GPS lock It finds maybe 3 and thats it. Is there a fix for this? (Telus DHD)
This rom is great BUT, i cant mount my sd cards. Every time it tells me the sd card is damaged. I've tried 4 different cards. They all dont mount.
EDIT: I flashed back to Revolution and sd cards work fine so its definitely a ROM issue.

@Chris0706
Please, could you make a video, how 10.1 looks like on acer a700??
BIG THANKS!!
is it more smoother than JB stock ?
i'm balanced between try your rom and keep my warranty...
I respect your work.
Is there any way to switch to the pre-4.2 tablet UI? (as opposed to the new phone-like UI)?
I`m on the first initial release from pawitp and the battery life is absolutely awesome. 2% lost in 2days and 9 hours Standby with 10 Min Display time. It could be a little bit smoother though. Could we set the CPU clock a little bit highter with an easy echo command? I have experience with Arch and Gentoo, but I don`t want to brick my device with modifying the kernel myself.
So that means battery life is better than JB stock?
After my first impressions: Oh hell yes! But I have to test it more with screen-on time and maybe a newer nightly.
My experience show slightly reduced battery life time ... about the smoothness its like 4.1 for me.
If you want a video go to youtube for it, theres nothing different for 4.2 on the a700 as on other tablets.
i think djsven ask you for a video not to see how 4.2 looks like (system) but how 4.2 runs (speed, smooth, etc etc) especially on our tablet.
He (and i) wants to compare 4.2 system integration against JB stock.
I installed the newest version (cm10.1-20121221) but I can't add my Google account. Is there something I can do to fix it? Before that I had the last cm10 installed(cm10-20121211) and i did not wipe.

Hi. Just installed this and I like it. A few others have been having issues with chrome and location services causing soft reboots and really bad stability. This ROM does not have that problem. I tried first with the full PA gapps and had issues with Google search and the Google calendar FC. Wiped and clean installed and used the Banks gapps. All is good now.
Gonna go install the Elemental X kennel now.
Thanks for the ROM.

HI @jakdillard . First off thanks for the great AOSP ROM. Glad to see more entries. I have a question not about the ROM because its excellent for me but ever since the AOSP ROMs started coming out, some of us have noted a recurring problem with many of them. @scrosler maintains a AOSP ROM which is afflicted. @ctfrommn does too for some of us. The main problem we have is that when we load these ROMs on our Nexus 7 wifi editions and visit pages which request access to locations like www.google.com, www.yahoo.com or others, the chrome browser crashes and for me it causes a soft reboot. If we just stick to the aosp ROM after some bit of time the AOSP browser also gets very unstable and will start crashing no matter how much cleaning, clearing, etc we do. @scrosler had documented some of this and we've collaborated a bit trying to figure out why this happens. On rasbean, carbon, your ROM, and a few others it does not happen.
I am hoping perhaps you could share some knowledge and let us know any commits, if you saw this behavior before you put the ROM up and did something to fix it. Any info at all would be very helpful. I'd love to be able to see this fixed and get the other ROMs working.
Thanks for the contribution again.

Very well put. I build rom's from aosp for myself. I am, of course, running into the same issues. Clearly there is something being added by Google that doesn't exist in aosp to make Google location services work. Obviously this rom has it. With the support of the aosp apps being slowly phased out in favor of Google apps, we are going to need a patch in order to be able to make a fully functional rom. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I have to look over those other roms sources to see what they are missing more the likely they don't have the location services pointing to the right adapter or still using the old way of making device trees causing make to not put the overlays together correctly.
Nice ROM Jak!

Added Google Play Edition Bootanimation
Added missing Flo props ( sound should be a little better )
Added missing proprietary DRM
De-Odexed ROM
Update 11-3-2013
Well there a beta quality build of KitKat in the op this will not be a daily driver until I have a complete source to work with and proper proprietary binaries but good luch and enjoy. Also consider this a nightly project as features will slowly be added.
Always under the radar for some reason, but your builds are always fantastic. Great job as always on 4.4. Loving the additional features.

I know he added a file manager and volume rocker wake. Those two weren't in the OP for the first build.

Awesome. Best KitKat ROM of all I have tried so far. Smooth and no fc or other issues at all so far. Stable in tests that other ROMs have failed. Thank you!

Just wondering if anyone else is getting the keyboard every time you hit the home button coming form another app? Not a big deal, just curious.
Thanks!

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Instructions
First time flashing CyanogenMod 11.0 your device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s).
Install a compatible Recovery (see here)
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).
Flash CyanogenMod.
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.

Before posting on this thread, make sure of a few things:
Make sure you have the LATEST version of ClockworkMod recovery. Other recoveries may work but will not be supported by CyanogenMod
You've utilized the search function of the forums. Nothing irritates me more than lazy people who do not search for an answer before asking.
If you are the only one having a problem. Boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, reflash the rom/gapps and nothing else. Boot up and see if the problem persists.
Make sure your post is relevant to this thread. "I'm having problems rooting/unlocking" is NOT relevant here.

It seems to be a common, known issue right now. I'm not sure what the cause of it is.
can we get a quick rundown of any major bugs/what's not working so far?

I'm on 12/9 and I am experiencing no major bugs. Just make sure you use 4.4 gapps (I'm using invisiblek's latest in his OP post). Your milage may vary but I have no reason against using it as a daily driver. Just do a nandroid backup and if you have issues you can fall back to it. My only complaints are minor: the LTE toggle I added to quick settings appears to be buggy/not work. But I changed mobile network settings to CDMA/EDVO auto and that works for me. I needed to install the Google Keyboard before I could type anything but that was before I flashed gapps. Do a factory reset before flashing etc and let us know how it goes!

Based on what I've read from people's experiences switching to 4.4, I would say no. It simply won't boot. Wipe the usual and do a clean install. In general, when in doubt, clean install, 'cause why not?

On 4.4? I haven't personally tried it yet. I've been busy. Once again, from what I've read, people are amazed at how from the first nightly on, this has basically been daily driver material.
Which Google Apps pack do I want for this? Thanks

Just installed, smooth once I got the newest version of ClockwerkMod.
Question, I see CM11 replaced it's old launcher with two new ones, "Launcher" and "Launcher 3".
What is the difference?

I did a semi "dirty" install over 10.2 RC1 and things like bluetooth and the Google keyboard proved buggy. I have just formatted, wiped cache and dalvik and installed 12/12 nightly fresh. I used the gapps from 12/8 found in the link in the development thread. I used the mirror at invisiblek. Seems much better now.
Edit:
Is anyone else having trouble with their Bluetooth devices reconnecting once paired, powered down, then powered back up? I have a Motorola Elite flip. I pair it. It works. Then if I shut it off it needs to be resynched upon powering up.
How's the camera resolution on CM4.4.1 compared to stock TW? Thx in advance!

Google+ Locations FC?
Hello,
Installed the 12-12 Nightly and am having a problem with Google+.
When I try to access "Locations" (the old Latitude option on Google Maps) to see my friends, I get a FC.
Anyone else get this?
Thanks!
Thinking about going from CM10.2 Stable to CM11 here in a bit. Just a (probably really stupid) quick question: How do I determine what my current firmware is without much trouble? I'd rather not worry about updating that if I don't need to once the time comes.
I see the OP links to VRBMF1 firmware, which is what my Baseband version says (I535VRBMF1) in Settings > About, but I'm not sure if those are one in the same or not. Thanks.

Camera quality seems to be great on CM11. I tested this next to a stock Verizon G3 and the only difference I noticed between the 2 would be the color temperature. One macro image I took with both was noticeably better on the one with CM11.
so does the laser auto focus still seem to function correctly with this?
is there any real way to verify that it is working except supposed time to capture image by estimation
