windows drivers for p6200 or p6210?
Im unable to install keys on win xp (@work), I get error reading setup initialization file. The file download 100% uniterrupted from samsung official website. not sure what going on. seen a few similar probs but no real response. I have some android drivers on my pc, and it seemed to install adb driver ok. but I also need MTP driver.
EDIT: found old version of kies 1.53, google for kies_win.exe, installed, did driver recovery, finally stopped searching for device, then says Kies does not support this device. Anyways went to my computer and now can see my P6200 as MTP device and access card and tablet storage!
Lets hope new version of Kies will update over this.

Having trouble installing drivers in PTP mode (windows 7)

Apologies if this is already posted, each time I search the forum it says search is unavailable.
OK, I'm on Win 7, trying to restore some stuff from my N4 using Helium, this requires you to connect to a PC with USB debugging on (done) and PTP as opposed to MTP (set on the phone).
My problem is that Windows will not install the drivers in PTP mode, I have removed all traces of Android/ADB/Nexus 5 from Device manager (uninstalled and removed drivers where available).
I've downloaded the latest SDK and installed the drivers from there.
Still not happening. It installs fine in MTP mode so I can access the storage.
Can anyone help?
thanks

Worked great for me, though didn't have to go through all the motions, uninstalled the ADB driver that windows was automatically assigning. extracted the driver pack, then plugged the N5 back in and hey presto, windows recognised the device as something i can navigate.
Time to put my music and photos back on it now.
Cheers.

[Q] winxp MTP problems

Do you guys know what's the problem?
I can't transfer files from/to my PC, windows don't recognize my phone (only opening " found new hardware") and also, when I check "Media device (MTP) on my Moto G I don't see notification that my mobile is connected to PC (before it was showing that notification).
I previously installed MTP driver from microsoft page, also Windows Media Player 11 and motorola drivers and it was working.
Then due some problems with my OS I performed system restore and now I have this problems.
I already installed MTP drivers from microsoft, WMP 11 and also motorola device manager. My device still remains unrecognized. Any ideas?
anyone
I tried enabling debugging mode, still not working even after update it is not working. What the hell is that?

Listen dude, first of all, you should update, because Windows XP is a pain in the a**.
Other thing, press Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc, enter and search for an Android device.
If you found it, then download the Google USB Drivers and install.

PC doesn't recognize Nexus 5

Hi everyone,
My Nexus 5 isn't getting recognized by any computer. I've tried plugging it into both Win 7 and Win 8.1 machine using different cables (stock N5 and stock N4 cables), it doesn't show up as a media device in Computer anymore. You can see that in device manager, it shows up as Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). I'm unable to update the driver to the original Google USB Driver; even if I do it manually, it says the latest drivers have already been installed. I've also tried to uninstall and remove the device from device manager, restarting both phone and computer, nothing worked. Any kind of input is appreciated.
Edit: I've also tried connecting as both MTP and PTP modes.
I had the same problem and did same as you. I has something to do with USB-divers on the computer. So I did a dirty trick: I installed Sony PC Companion and rebooted (I know, seems strange) and now my Nexus 5 shows up on the desktop.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it and it still showed up as Unknown USB Device (even after I uninstalled it from device manager).

[Completed] Can not connect any phone with my pc thorugh mtp or ptp

Hey,
I have an ASUS X55A Laptop with Windows 10 and I can't connect any phone with it. USB Sticks etc work normally so I think it is a MTP related problem. My device right now is a Moto G. I connect it with the USB port and my pc detects it, but I can't get access to the data on the phone. I installed the motorola drivers manually, but it didn't work either.
When I am in the windows "device manager" I can see my phone, but I am not able to install the MTP drivers properly. There is a small warning triangle next to my device name.
I tried many things, but I can not find a solution. If it is really MTP/PTP related, how can I install the drivers properly and working?
Thx for your help.
Edit: When I connect the phone without any drivers installed it says "Device is being installed" and the bar is ca. 5% filled and is stuck there. So the MTP won't install automatically.
Solved:
I installed the "Windows 10 Media Feature Pack" and now it works. I had the N Version of Win10, so it was not preinstalled.
Thanks for your feedback
