This could be because the screen isn't fitted down properly. I suggest taking it back or sending it back if it was done under warrenty, similar problem with my nexus 7. Screen wasnt put down properly. Thats most likely the cause

So I finally replaced my cracked screen and I've been having issues with my new digitizer. It's one of the LG digitizers, not the ones that say T-Mobile at the top. When you touch the extreme left side of the screen, it acts like you're touching the extreme right side of the screen at the same time. It's very weird - when I try to capitalize, it also backspaces, and my a's all have l's after them - stuff like that. It's like that all the way from the top of the screen to the bottom.
I got in there and cleaned a couple of specks of dust that I had accidentally left between the digitizer and LCD screen and it didn't seem to help. I used compressed air to clean the contact where the digitizer ribbon cable connects to the motherboard and tried to get the ribbon cable itself to sit under the motherboard nice and straight (I had a little trouble with it the first time and it could have been crooked, I guess, but I'm not sure if that would even matter.) I've also tried soft reboots, removing the battery, full wipes, and even have experimented with a few different ROMs. Acts exactly the same.
What do you guys think? Do I have a bad digitizer or is there something else I could try to get it to work properly? Thanks!
I buy broken phones of Craigslist and fix them. I have put digitizers on 4 g2x as of yet never had that problem. I'd make sure the connections were nice clean and seated correctly. I see you've done that so my conclusion is that you have a faulty unit. Run a calibration app and see if that helps

I had bought a digitizer with the LG logo on it and it was not as senseative to the touch and as well when touching the left or right sides of it where off a little. I used the ones with the T Moble logo and all works like new.

Hi, my screen cracked, so I got a replacement digitizer and installed it. When I reassembled the phone, it worked fine, except the buttons at the bottom (home, back, etc.) and the bottom 15% of the touch screen do not register. The rest of the touch screen works fine.
Do you know if that part is connected differently from the rest of the phone? Or any other reason it might be broken.
This may be dumb on my part, but my package didn't come with adhesive, so I used superglue. Could that be messing up the sensor somewhere? Or is it not likely that?
Any thoughts/comments would be greatly appreciated.
You probably got some glue in the wrong place. I used 3M double sided adhesive, that way I could be exact with the placement

Hah what he said.
You should never use glue of any sort on electronics. If the manufacturers don't do it, then you surely shouldn't.
Ok, so I barely cracked my screen today and the screen won't turn on. The key buttons still show a light when I unlock and lock, but nothing shows on the screen.
I was hoping it would be like this

I'd say you have to buy a new screen from ebay.

This is an issue with the LCD. In this device the LCD is fused to the touch screen digitizer (outer glass)
You will need to replace this fused LCD+touch screen digitizer to fix this issue and we have the parts, tools, and guides available and ready to ship.
chat with us live for more information at http://www.RepairsUniverse.com
How long would it take to ship it to Belgium?

I had this same problem too. I was... expressing my disapproval of the outcome of last Sunday's championship game... and the screen cracked slightly. I figured I destroyed it, so I ordered a replacement. I just replaced the screen and digitizer, reassembled it, and the problem persists. The phone will turn on, make noise, vibrate, etc, but no image. What else could I have damaged that would still blank out a new screen? The home/back/menu keys light up fine.
Thanks for the help!
I recently bought a used HTC One S. Its in great shape and I've only had it for a few months. A few days ago I noticed an air bubble on the left side of my screen. At first I thought it was a crack or a scratch but the glass on my phone is fine. It keeps getting larger and I don't have any money for a new phone at the moment so I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or knows how to fix it?

Is it under the screen protector and not the screen itself perhaps?

I don't have a screen protector on my phone. Its in the screen its self :crying:
I used to see this on the old acclaims a lot. Best bet is a blowdryer to reheat the glue under the digi. Let it cool slowly though or it can crack (though it's unlikely)
Otherwise it'll need a new digitizer

I've tried this because I saw it on a form for one of the older iPhones and it made it worse!! I'm not really worried about anymore. Guess I'll have to wait for my upgrade later this year

I have the same issue .. just started for me... last year my broken screen had been replaced...
Theoretically this will occur when the digitizer is getting apart from the screen. As you may know, the screen we see it's composed from several layers glued together. The digitizer is the last layer, the one we touch and transmit our touches to the OS. This is also the part that usually gets broken (if the shock wasn't too big ofc to break the actual LCD screen).
You could go to a service, they are used to replace such parts and they could glue it back. It might be possible that your device had the digitizer replaced in the past and it was not properly glued as it have been initially in the manufacturing plant and that's why you have the issue
Hello, I dropped my phone a while ago (a couple months) and it cracked the screen allot but the touch screen and lcd/digitizer were working with no issue.
Recently i dropped it again but this time on soft carpet and the LCD and touch screen are not working anymore, the LCD isn't cracked at all. The LED light at the top works and the back and menu buttons work fine.
Help?? plz
There's nothing anyone out here can do to help you for physical damage. You need to either have it repaired or purchase a new device.
Thank you

Hi,
I have a problem with my Nexus 5 screen. It started more than a month ago, when out of nowhere my screen began to show vertical and horizonal lines across the screen. It has gotten worse in the next few days until a part of the screen blacked out completely. It seemed like the LCD is cracked, and not the outer glass.
I have bought a replacement screen from AliExpress, and when I got it and installed it, the problem remained, and it looked very similar to the first screen.
I have contacted the seller and he had sent me another screen that arrived today. I installed it but unfortunately the problem remains.
Attached are photos of the first and second replacements.
Is it a screen-related problem? Should I ask for a refund and get another screen?
Or is it a more serious problem, in the motherboard etc?
Thank you
