Hello, I rooted and flashed CM and now AOKP. Under both, my battery life is low compared to when I had stock.
I have not flashed my radio or kernel, maybe that's it? I noticed my network signal is kind of low, too.
Here's a shot of my battery life:

I'm always on wifi, always was and never had problems with that. Didn't install any new apps I didn't have before root apart from UCCW and the holo glass theme with an icon pack, everything else (which is not much, maybe a few more apps along with gapps) was there before.

I read your log. These are the major consumers of your battery:
Wifi On (): 8 h 37 m 18 s (31038 s) Ratio: 100.0%
Wifi Running (): 8 h 37 m 18 s (31038 s) Ratio: 100.0%
No Data Connection (): 8 h 37 m 18 s (31038 s) Ratio: 100.0%
No or Unknown Signal (): 8 h 37 m 18 s (31038 s) Ratio: 100.0%
Since you already know that wifi is not an issue, then the other would have been the cause.
Low network signal is one of the causes of low battery life. When the network signal is low, your cellphone increases its transmitting power incrementally until it gets a signal of a preset threshold (set by the radio). It will keep on transmitting at frequent intervals to establish a link with the cellular base station, and this is where the battery consumption lies. When a cellphone transmits, it uses as much as 15 time more power than when it is just on receive mode. You could try the following steps to narrow down to where the problem lies.
1. If you have always been in the same location before and after flashing the new ROM, then it could be the network provider's problem because the cellular base station may not be working properly, hence the low signal. Ask around someone else around you who is on the same network and see it he also have this low signal problem. If others have the same problem, then call the network provider to complain.
2. If you have changed location since flashing, then you might be in a location that has low signal levels. Again, you can also check with others if they encounter the similar problems. Same as above, call the network provider to complain.
3. If others around you do not have network signal issues and you are the only one, then it is probably the ROM. If you can, revert to the OEM and compare. If, after reverting to OEM and the problem still exist, then you can try to upgrade the radio ROM.
4. If after upgrading your radio ROM and the problem is still there, then it is probably your phone hardware. I will advise to send to OEM for an evaluation and repair if necessary.
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your help kind sir I have not changed location. I agree that revering and comparing might be a good place to strat, although I am partial to skipping that step and just flashing a new radio in the hopes of that fixing it

So I have the latest CleanROM R7 on my phone, I did a clean install. I've been using it for some time before this issue came up. I've been getting some serious battery drain for the past couple weeks. Before I turned on usb fast charge my battery was draining faster than my car charger could charge it. Android OS, Google Services, and Android System are my 3 top battery suckers before the screen (with normal use). I'm using the latest d2 firmware found here: http://invisiblek.org/d2firmware.html
I think a lot of it may have to do with the new google maps update, but I have to believe there is a way I can fix this without having to turn off any location services or anything like that. I was using them before with no problem. It has been a couple weeks now so I don't believe it has anything to do with being in a weak signal area, or anything that might be unique to a very specific circumstance since I has been continuous throughout the weeks.
If anyone can help me pinpoint the battery drain it would be much appreciated!
Here is a screen of my battery stats

I suggest installing BetterBatteryStats. There is an xda free version available if you search. Let it run for several hours then post the "Dump to txt" file as an attachment or via Pastebin. If you install BBS, check your Kernel Wakelocks and Partial Wakelocks to see what apps are being so disruptive.

Oh, I've had BBS installed for quite some time now, I was just never too sure how to use it. Didn't realize I could dump to text. Attached is the text dump!
Edit: Sorry, in my haste I only looked at this text file after posting. I just noticed it has only been running for and hour. I'll let it run longer and post the results later.

Just in that 1hr 15 min span, I can see you should configure some settings in either Maps or Settings/Sync. All your highest wakelock counts are Google service related based on the name. Although they're low in percentage, that's the best I can muster. For Maps, I always turn off Location Reporting. I usually keep my GPS unchecked so some of these will not completely go away if you keep GPS enabled all the time. As for the ones relating to Sync, I'm not to sure what can cause these since I keep Contacts, Gmail, and Calendar checked and everything else disabled.

Thanks. I've been running it for a while longer now and I tried to catch it as close to it dying as my schedule allows right now. Seems like it is still the Google Services that are the main culprits. It is really annoying that this is the case. Do you know if this is a recent problem in the latest update (probably the new Google Maps)? I've always had the location setting on and never had a problem until now. I use Google Maps really often and don't want to turn these off.
I also notice DeskSMS is up there but it certainly isn't as significant as Google Services.
Thanks again for your help.
Also, do the kernel wake locks tell you anything? Looks like PowerManagerService is at the top there.

I'm not the best at reading/interpreting these so other input is always welcome. From what the BBS knowledge base tells me, PowerManagerService is generic and it represents your Partial Wakelocks. Looking at the Partial Wakelocks tab would prove more beneficial. As I look at your txt, your battery drain (for the most recent txt) could be due to Maps given all the location tags and Maps activity that you say you do. I'm thinking the Google Services is doing damage behind the scenes. Google auto-pushes updates to this at will so you're not seeing much help from them. Do you have Location Reporting enabled in Maps?

Yes, I do. I'll try turning this off for a bit and see if there is any draw back in my day-to-day. I'm not exactly sure what this setting affects, just other Google apps won't be able to see my location?

Hi. I have moto g 3rd gen 2015. I just installed cm 12.1 osprey snapshot ROM yesterday(cm-12.1-20151117-SNAPSHOT-YOG7DAO1K2-osprey.zip).
I noticed that my battery is draining faster than before while everything before and now are same ..I mean apps.
After charging 100%, battery going down to 94% within 2 to 3 minutes. Only wifi is on. Rest is off...
Can anyone please help me? I love CM 12.1 customization. Dont want to go back to stock ROM
And I want to know if I install kernel blu spark, will it help me to get better battery life?
same problem with nighties too :/
My CPU runs about 10-12 degrees C hotter too. There are many ways to limit battery drain, just have to search for them.

No Hotplugging
I used to have the same problem with CM kernel. Turned out when I checked the kernel using kernel auditor, there seems to be no CPU hotplugging features which accounts for the batter drain and the high temps. Try using blue sparks kernel. Its MUCH better for battery and temps.

Yeah shouldn't be disabled in the first place
I'm on the 11/18 nightly and have battery comparable, if not better, than stock. No custom kernels. Bluetooth and wireless always on. GPS always on, device only. Standby excellent. Always used delta gapps. I deny Google data access on what I can (history, location, ect), but let sync on contacts, calendar, keep, ect. No greenify or anything like that. Email sync on auto push.
My use today at 12 hrs (730am-745pm) is 1.5hr screen on time auto brightness and slider in middle, 2 hrs playing audio through bluetooth, in an area with no cell signal for about 4hrs, maybe 30-45 mins talk time between Bluetooth and handset. Still have 75% battery left.
Edit: just checked my wife's phone (on factory firmware), unplugged for about 7 hrs. She has 1 hr 40 min screen on time and down to 77%. Not sure about usage, she might have been streaming videos or something.

Rate this thread to express how you think the Samsung Galaxy A70's Wifi performs. A higher rating indicates that it has excellent range, throughput, and signal strength. Like when you're taking a dump in the bedroom upstairs, do your videos have to buffer or do they come through without interruption?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Wifi on the A70 has major issues, completely drops connection all the time, even if at full signal strength. Very very bad, I've never seen a device with wifi this bad in my life.

Strange. I've never had any issues till now. Using for 3 months
Do you have the American version? All the other threads about this issue I'm finding on Google are people with the European version, and I'm Canadian which usually gets the same as them. There's even an A70-unique setting in developer options called "wifi safe mode" made just for this device, and there's been 5 updates since launch about "wifi stability", it's got issues. I get about 1-2 drops per hour.

Ohh. Nope I have the GM version (India) and I don't have that option in settings
i am loosing wifi connection many times a day....it's bad...
I have also this problem
Not know solutions ?
No problems with wifi signal - I like A70 how it works on wifi . But we need to remember that router is important for connection quality and speed - I have tp-link Archer C1200 at home - and A70 5ghz get 433 Mb/s ~ 170 mb/s transfers while old Moto get 150 Mb/s connection and about 110 mb/s transfers . I have cable internet connection 200Mb/s .
Works fine here. I get up to 35mbyte/s. Fastest WiFi I've had on a phone. Everything is stock.
I can only get around 50mbps on Speedtest, which sucks because my old phone (a Nokia 7 Plus) can reach twice that speed.
wifi stregnth is good for me, but throughput/speed not so much..but still good.
my internet is 500Mb/s up and down.
on my Xiaomi mi 9, on 5ghz, i get 450Mb/s up and down with 1ms ping.
on A70 i get around 325Mb/s up and 350 down with 2ms ping
after november update wifi is acting up again...it is almost unbearable to use, i am loosing connection every once in a while...
You need a section just for hotspot. I have a lot of things to say about hotspot. 5GHz not showing up on Windows WiFi list. Not the case with my other 5GHz capable hotspot phones. This is an almost unspoken about issue as so few people are using 5GHz hotspots. My wife's Huawei has actual channel selection of its 5GHz hotspot. My A70 has got stuck in a rut on the channels in the mid hundred range. The low channels such as 40, 44, 48 are the best for Windows to see.
Of course 2.4 GHz AP has channel selection and auto option on the A70 but this is not very significant. Most phones do.
Most phones don't offer 5GHz hotspot. Seems to have started in the later part of the teens decade only.
To get a phone with actual channel control in 5GHz I can only suggest that you try a Huawei.
Pretty important issue, for those of us with non sim enabled computers who want the fastest internet possible in our locales.
The only thing I notice is when you log out all your samsung accounts the wifi is now all good. Just my exp but you can try
Does galaxy a70 has MIMO for Wifi .?
Seems like Android 10 Update for Samsung Galaxy A70 has fixed wifi speed sync issue for 2.4Ghz band. Now it shows full speed (150Mbps) instead of 72Mbps. Now i can reach "100Mbps" on speedtest (full bandwidth of my subscription) from my crappy wifi router (b/g/n - 150M - Max!)

When I am in some places, applications such as facebook, instagram, telegram do not work, but if I move an inch they start to work again. All this when I use the 4g / 4g + / 3g
I also noticed a certain slowness in the data connection, my previous mobile phone a mi 9 lite is much better performing. I hope it is just a youth problem and that with a modem update it is solved.

Can you people post speedtests or something?
Signal is maxed out where I live and speed is also fine 50mbps down and up
Me too, Im experiencing slow data connections even when outside. Tried to test the speed using ookla speed test and it shows less than 1mbps download compared to my oppo A37f LTE which shows 10mbps.
same me. Facebook , Instagram ,chrome not load page but my speed internet 89Mbps Dev. please fix firmware
I have the same issue. Mobile data slowing down very often or stuck and do not loading anything. Turning on and turning off flying mode solve problem for a while.
Well I was camping, and there's almost no signal so data keeps changing from 4g+ to 3g+ to E, etc... THIS IS NORMAL
BUT
When it's on 3G+ there's no connection what so ever, I get 1-2 bars of signal and I'm always not connected to the internet, this isn't a problem with xiaomi: redmi 8, note4, a1 and other brands either

Isn't? I have full signal and high speed and after second my signal drops to 2-3 bars. Then internet doesnt work at all but when I test connection with smartphone diagnostic, it says that connection works fine. When I test connection speed, there is like 1-20 Mb/s loading and almost 0 Mb/s uploading. When I turn airplane mode on and off, then connection works again with high speed and no problems for a while. With Galaxy S7 edge and ROG 2, there is no problem at all, even when I have 1 bar of signal. It looks like POCO X3 losing uploading randomly so you cant send request to open anything.
6-12 download. In countryside no upload at all almost. Whit 3G sometimes. very bad connection when gaming on desktop. Glitchy OS too. Had to reset the phone many times. Connects to mobile data auto whit no permission granted.
I have the same problem too. the data connection is very slow compare to my extra phone. The ping/latency is too high.
4G
same problem too and when i
ping to google it unstable from
request time out
To 6000+ ms
and Regular 60-100 ms
but overall it is unusable
it reused when used 3g but not great ether
I have same problem with my poco X3 do rur internet on LTE+(4g) doesnt worki but LTE+ icon on right top corner is still visible, when i turn phone upside down IT worki again , strange issue
The antennae on the X3 are pretty bad
Try Set network preferred to Lte/umts auto on testing menu. *#*#4636#*#* default with Td-scdma,
FYI, the setting is under "Testing | Phone Information [1 | 2]".
FTR, mine was was already set to "LTE/TDSCDMA/UMTS" under stock ROM v12.0.3.0 (QJGEUXM) with no SIMs.

Hi,
same problem with my POCO X3. Upload is very low. With another old phone is better!
Someone has a solution? Is this a know issue?
Thanks
there are clearly a problem in upload in data in this device i made a lot of tests and it showed
1- in out door with good signal it is good
2- in indoor with good signal the download is good the upload is weak
3- in indoor with average signal the download still good but the upload is very poor
and affecting in the overall performance

There seems to be some sort of consensus that the LTE versions of the watch have more battery trouble
Has anyone actually given it some thought as to why?
When LTE is off it should not make a difference, but it does seem to exist.
Is the emergency service always connected, is there a bug where the modem drains power even when it should be off?
Curious to hear what you think

I have discovered my mistake was thinking that I needed to have the LTE button in the quick menu lit up blue to work away from the watch, my battery life has improved since I discovered it doesn't need to be lit up blue as that is permanently "on", by having the button grey it's on "auto"

What is "LTE button in the quick menu"?
I only see Mobile Data. Afair there was mobile network button in the Tizen, but I do not see it in the GW4

I think that's the same button I called LTE/mobile network, it's the up/down arrows design button, sorry for the wrong description!
I got mine the other day replacing my 1st gen galaxy watch. I set it up in the same way as my old watch and was amazed to see the battery drop 10% in one hour, since then I have made one change... I disabled the option for the screen to come on via gesture, settling for a tap if the screen... I took it off charge this morning at 5:30am and it is now 21:21BST... It has 58% remaining... a significant improvement over day 1
I have the same problem with LTE. Whenever I use "auto" for LTE settings, the watch would keep trying to find signal and that would drain the battery. Which is insane, especially because: 1) the phone is always nearby, bluetooth connected 2) i haven't set up any carrier yet!
I have the network connection on. For me, i have a good 2 days of battery life. Compared to my previous WearOS watches, it's excellent...

Did some testing and disabled everything (HR, Stress, Exercise detection, notifications, LTE/Mobile data, Wifi, NFC) all that was left on was the BT connection and I was still getting about 8% per Hour drain (12 hr 30 min life). Disabled BT and enabled Wifi for connection and drain now at 3.6% /H. (Stats as per Battery and Charge Monitor for Wear OS). So it doesnt appear to be a drain from any of the health monitoring or notifications etc, but possibly from the OS, which hopefully Google/Samsung will resolve/improve with updates.

There was a Health Services update yesterday and since then, my watch battery lasts WAY better. at 17hrs 33min i still have 64% left and i had re-enabled everything again as it should be. Continuous monitoring, sleep with SPO2, location, LTE, etc.
