Extract Firmware zip file that you downloaded already from above link, you will get a .tar file and some other files.
Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Power off your phone. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
Now, put the Galaxy Pocket Duos GT-S5302 phone in Download Mode by pressing pressing and holding down the Volume Down and Home buttons while pressing the Power button until you are welcomed by a green robot indicating you are in Download Mode.
Now run Odin3 v3.07.exe (see Step 2) as an Administrator because Admin privileges is required to complete the process smoothly.
Now connect your Galaxy Pocket Duos GT-S5302 with your PC using USB cable. A message will arrive under Odin’s message box in the bottom left saying “Added!!”. If you don’t get the same then you should try another USB port (try USB port located in back in your desktop PC). If that too don’t work then you should then reinstall the driver. If you successfully see the “Added!!” message in Odin then you are ready to go in next step. You should also see COM port with a number in Yellow if you successfully added your device.
Select these files in Odin at respective tabs from extracted S5302JPLH2 firmware folder :
Click the PDA Button, and select the .tar file here with *code* appearing in its name
Click the Phone Button, and select file with *modem* in its name (leave if there is no such file)
Click the CSC Button, and select file with *csc* in its name (leave if there is no such file)
Click the PIT Button, and select the .pit file. Use only if you got it while extracting in step 1 above, otherwise ignore it.
In Odin window, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected. Also, make sure that Re-Partition checkbox is selected, only if you are using a .pit file (see Step 7.4).
Double check everything that we mentioned in Step 7 & Step 8 above. Now, once satisfied hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
Once flashing completed, you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. The phone will then automatically rebooted and soon you will see the Samsung logo. You can then unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
Congrats! Your Galaxy Pocket Duos, model number S5302 should now run on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread build JPLH2. Go to Settings > About phone to verify this firmware update.:good::good:

The guide is for the Alcatel OT-918 (No D, N, MIX), single sim, Orange Pasadena, from Romania with Gingerbread 2.3.6, it might work on other versions to, but I can't guarantee that.
Care should be taken, while the Orange Pasadena is a cheap phone, modifying your software might turn your device in an unusable brick.
Unfortunately the Android version of this phone can't be rooted with superoneclick or other simpler methods.
First of all You need the following tools from the attached file:
USB Drivers
SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1224.00
AlcatelScatterRetriever01 - optional
Universal recovery for Alcatel OT918 (2.3.5 and 2.3.6)
Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/74256292/Pasadena/Orange_Pasadena_OT918_root.zip
1. Turn off the phone, and connect it to the computer (Windows XP/7) with an USB cable, and install the attached drivers
2. Create a scatter file with AlcatelScatterRetriever01,

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(alternatively you can skip this step and use the scatter file from the OT-918_Orange_Pasadena_Branded folder)
3. Run Flash tool and open the scatter file
4. Check only the recovery file from the OT-918_Orange_Pasadena_Branded folder
Double check that all other checkboxes must be unchecked!
5. Click on download
6. Connect the turned off phone to the computer, the progress bar should change its color and after a short while a small window with a green circle and ok should appear.
If it's not working remove USB cable, the battery, and reconnect the battery and then the USB cable and try again.
7. Remove the battery and the SD-card
8. Copy Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip to the SD-card
9. Replace the SD-card and the battery
10. Start the phone with the Volume UP and Power combo (release first the power button)
11. You should be in the OT-918N recovery, and should install the file Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip from the SD-card
12. Restart and enjoy your root-ed phone.
For UNROOT make a full wipe from recovery.
Repair information:
If you got an Orange Pasadena which would not boot or is in a bootloop, at step 4 select all the files from OT-918_Orange_Pasadena_Branded folder and go on with the guide.
At step 8 copy to the SD-card deepROM 2.3.6. from http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=323769&st=2320#entry16968462 ,
the file from http://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=%2BFgTiMPQgqQjcFeH30tIoZnLBEVANGQz3%2BeBBWub5m0%3D ,
which is the only functional custom rom as far as I know for this model of the phone.
If someone needs a functional (but incomplete) stock image feel free to p.m. me.
Still searching for a full stock image, which will be posted here.

Drivers
Hello,
At step "1: Turn off the phone, and connect it to the computer (Windows XP/7) with an USB cable, and install the attached drivers"
Witch one of the drivers should I install? I've tried everything, but the phone it is not recognized by the XP OS, and therefore the ASR.exe cannot generate the scattering file.
Please help, with more detailed procedure regarding the drivers.
Thank you,
Stro
It works, thank you!
Is there anyway to install another, more stable, Rom.
Maybe an original OT-918 ROM?
Thanks.

I bought my gtab2 few days back. It runs jellybean 4.1.2 Indian version, after going through different outdated rooting guides i thought it would be better if i ask this here. I am about to root my gtab2 following the ibntimes guide . Please tell me if i should do something different or if there's a better way to root. The guide looks fairly simple and straightforward though.

i have not tried this method but this is what i could come across while searching in xda forums....
you may also register yourself at XDA and search more or check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/unbrick-vibe-k5-plus-qfil-qpst-method-t3467830
IMPORTANT : First of all you should always have all the drivers installed on your PC.
READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FOLLOWED THE STEPS CAREFULLY AND THEN POST QUERIES.[/COLOR]
The following drivers are needed for this task:
1. Lenovo USB Drivers.
2. QDLoader QFIL Drivers
Search for them on google and you will find them very easily. Most of the time they are there in the stock rom zip folder under a folder named Drivers.
Install all of them.
1. Download the Stock ROM you need for your phone from here:
DOWNLOAD STOCK FIRMWARE (Thanks to Shreps)
2. Extract the above zip to a folder. You will get three folders: Drivers, Images and Tools.
3. From the Drivers folder, Install all drivers.
4. From the Tools folder, install the QPST Tool. In your Start Menu it will come as QFIL. Don't worry about that.
5. Power Off your device.
6. Open QFIL TOOL.

7. Now On top you will see two options: 1. Flat Build 2. Meta Build
Select FLAT BUILD
8. In "PROGRAMMER PATH" click Browse and go to the folder named Images and select the one file it displays (something like prog_emmc....mbn).
9. Now click "Load XML" and select "rawprogram0.xml" file and then another dialog box will open. Here select "patch0.xml".
PC WORK IS DONE. DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD.
Your device should be switched off.
NOTE CAREFULLY: Hold "VOLUME UP + VOLUME DOWN" key (Do not press POWER button). and connect the USB Cable from PC to the phone.
Your phone should now display RED LED LIGHT and the QFIL Tool should now change from NO PORT to QUALCOMM.....Something like that.
You are now ready. Click on Download button on QFIL TOOL and then wait for atleast 15 minutes.
After the dialog at bottom shows "DOWNLOAD SUCCESSFUL" in blue color, UNPLUG your device. Wait for a few seconds or a minute and then POWER ON your device.
First boot takes about 8-10 minutes.
