I keep two calendars on my phone. One is my personal appointments, and the other are my work appointments.
On my older Droid 4, in both the Calendar widget and in the Calendar app, the calendars are ID'ed by color. For my personal calendar it is a yellow-ish block or line, and for my work calendar it is a blue-ish block or line. That makes it pretty easy to see which is which.
However, on my new Mini, both are simply black. In the Calendar widget, they have a simple black square block preceding each entry. In the Calendar app, in month display mode, they are denoted by a black line.
Is there a way to enable color? Or this is B&W simply an "improvement" made by MOT/Google with JB?
BTW, when in the Mini's Calendar app, I go into settings... Calendars to display... there are the color blocks shown. As I wrote above, those colors get all displayed as black in the app and widget.
Here is what my older Droids would show (notice the lines in color):

Mine definitely shows colors. Maybe try clearing the calendar cache and or app data to see if that fixes it.

Interesting thought. Thanks for the confirmation that it is suppose to still be in color.
Possibly when I transferred my calendar data from my old phone, to my new phone, something got screwed up.

hi...
in the old today screen of wm , i could see if i have any active tasks, which is very important to me, i even tought about scrubbing touchflow completly, but then i have a problem with the watch (in the today screen part of the hour is covered by the watch icon)..
so is there any way to customize touchflo's today the same way you customize wm today's (add or remove items from it )
I'm using AE Button Plus to have the active tasks at my fingertips
I would love this too. Whether it be a new tab with numeric indicator like SMS/email, or just putting it under the calendar entries.
I love TF3d but I need tasks.
thanks, but i allready assigned the button to tasks
i need to actually look if it's there.
as a replacement i'd like to see any icon for tasks in the taskbar.
AE Button Plus does that by adding icons to the menu bar.
oh, you mean in the buttom?
will it show me a number of tasks, or just an icon i can click on?

I'm using AE Button Plus also. Menu bar being the bar at the bottom?
I used it to remove the stupid ATT screen, but I didn't see that you can add new ones ; (or can you?)
Something like this would be grand. I hate messy taskbar icons.
I don't know how TF3D is customized. Does it use XML/

Merry Christmas, maybe have a look at this app to get a cool overview of my apps.

Hello,
Recently, I noticed that in Contacts I don't see anymore the little icons (Google, Facebook or LinkedIn) in the right side of the contact name for linked contacts.
In my S4, for every contact that is linked with a contact from another account (Google, Facebook or LinkedIn) I have this icons in Contacts.
Is this only in my phone or do you have the same?
PS. I have a N915F with NK5 deodexed ROM.
Thank you.

I have the same thing. Inside the contact I have the small icons, but when showing all contacts, there are no icons. This is not normal.
The linked contacts should display their own icons when displaying all contacts. On all other deviced that I own until now I had the icons displayed when listing all contacts. Let's hope that there will be a fix for this.
Best regards.
It may not be how previous devices have handled contacts, but it also may be completely normal for this device.
Me personally I think it looks better, less cluttered. But to each their own.
I just got a new S8+. Great phone. I've been busy setting it up, and suddenly I noticed all my app icons have weird white lines around them. This is not the "icon borders" that can be turned on and off, this is something super weird. (see screenshots)
Even more strangely, the line-drawn-box doesn't appear around every app icon. Netflix, Chrome, Firefox, and some other apps are "spared".... but most apps icons have this weird icon around them.
I'm using Holo Launcher, but it happens with the stock TouchWiz launcher, and in the default theme. I checked accessibility and I don't see anything turned on in there.
Anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

After some more digging, it seems to be a bug between Samsung Themes and third party launchers like Holo and Nova.
I was able to fix the icons by setting to default theme, then going to settings - apps - app manager - holo launcher, deleting both cache and data, then force quitting Holo.
If i change the theme, the problem comes back.
Unfortunately, activating "max battery saver" enables a theme and triggers the problem.
Yes, seems the Samsung OS is sensitive to icon framing and other corruption from non-Samsung sensitive theme'ing.
I published Last Time, a complete event timeline manager.
Ever wondered the last time you did something or when something happened but struggled to remember? Last Time app keeps a neat timeline for you so you never forget.
Get the app on the Play Store.
