Google announced today that the Hangout app for Android and iOS will get a major update. It starts today with the Android, the version for iOS will follow later.
This update will be focused on "staying connected with friends and family", who then is the purpose of basic Hangouts and any messenger program.
We see point point what are the new notes, although Google says that there are others not announced, but find out only after trying the app:
Sticker : penguins, pirates, koalas and of course cats at will! 16 new sticker pack (and more coming), saying with images what words can not.
Filters for video calls : sepia, vignette, black and white and others. Just a swipe during a video call to try them all and make the conversation more original.
Last seen : the same way as WhatsApp, Hangouts will inform us of the last activity of our contacts
Smart suggestions during conversations : for example, if someone asks "where are you?", Hangouts will show an option to share our location on the fly.
And beyond that, of course, the graphics in Material Design .
At the moment we don't have the APK to share, and for now the Play Store does not give hints to update, but we will update this article when it becomes available the file to download. Bookmark this and Stay tuned!

[APP][4.1+] Analyzer for WhatsApp - find out more about your chats

Did you ever wonder which words you use most in your WhatsApp chats or who the most active person in a group chat is? Or maybe you want to know if there are any weird surges in your message activity at a certain time or day.
If those are questions that keep you awake at night (or if you just like colorful graphs) then this is the app for you.

}
Features:
Graphs for message-activity by person, weekday and time
analyze a whole chat or a single participant
see which are your most used words / emoji in a chat
type any word (or emoji) and see how often it was used in that chat
share graphs to social media apps
Download:
Play Store
Please let me know what you think of my app, all suggestions are welcome. I would also really appreciate reviews on Google Play.
Excellent app mate, are there any possibility to see which sentences or phrases are repeated in the chats?
Sent from my XT1042 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Glad that you like it, that's always nice to hear.
As for the sentences and phrases, while it would theoretically be possible to add such a feature, it would require a lot of computing power (at least a lot more than a modern smartphone has) to do this in a reasonable amount of time. As you might have noticed it already takes a little while to analyze larger chats and this would make that time even longer.

[APP][4.0.3+] VoiceFlick - use your voice to get funny animations

Hi,
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I want to share some website & Android app I made.
Last year I thought about how it would be fun to just speak to my laptop/phone and get animations in return.
When I looked for such a website, I couldn't find it, so I made it myself:
voiceflick.com
I also made it into an Android app:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.voiceflick.voiceflick
My nephews and nieces love it , I hope other people will also enjoy my website & app.
I made it just for fun, it has no ads, or anything else that will bring me profit.
The website only works on Google chrome, because it uses Chrome's built in speech recognition.
This was the first time I ever made an Android app, so there might be some bugs
If something doesn't work, please let me know, and I will look into fixing it
All feedback is welcome.
I hope you will have fun with it

}
More info about the app:
To save battery, VoiceFlick only records while you hold the mic-button.
All returned animations are appropriate for all ages.
The animations are rated G: General Audiences – all ages admitted.
VoiceFlick uses Google App for speech recognition.
So if something doesn't work, please check if Google App is installed and working:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
The voice records are not send to VoiceFlick, it is processed by Google App, (Google App can be configured to use offline speech recognition).

Your app is awesome ¿Any hope to get the stocks widget?
Very limited functionality unless you buy the app.

Is so cheap to buy, I paid less than 2 dlls for the app and for real, is really well made. I won't use KWGT in a good time. I could pay more for moar widgets like fitness, stocks, custom news via RSS, music controls on Spotify Widget or even pancakes.
Good luck - Google will catch on sooner or later to the theft of intellectual property & Trademark infringement when you blatantly state that you've copied iOS widgets 1/1 - the same as how they won't allow Android in the title of apps. They even took down my apps with "Droid" in the title saying it was a trademark infringement.
Decent enough looking widgets, best of luck
