Which Build Number? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking to revert back to stock to clean the tablet up and then root again. How do I know what build number/SKU I have? On cromix it replaces the build number with the ROM title. I bought mine and my girlfriends refurbed from newegg at the same time. Would my build be the same as hers?

Which country did you buy it in. Build number is the same as Asus' so latest CROMi-X is 10.6.1.27.1 but that is largely irrelevant. If you bought it in the US then your SKU is US.

Thanks guys I got it. The odd thing is my gf's was bought in the US and after her update the sku is CN.

4.4.2 as default

Yesterday I got my nexus 5 and it came with 4.4.2. During
initial boot it did not ask for any update or else. The power
adapter is british one.
Does somebody have the same version as default?
Best regards all.
Obviously as Android versions get released with "bugfixes", they start releasing them from the factory on the latest software build.
What is the *real* question here? I assume you were building up to a bigger question?

I think he is asking why his phone came with Android KitKat 4.4.2 and not a newer version.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I was distressed since everybody started with 4.4.
None reported upgrade from the factory. As you
might imagine, the fear wrote my post.
Best regards and thanks.

i think what hes saying is that his phone came with 4.4.2 while he read that other peoples phones came with 4.4(and were later updated to 4.4.2). he wants to know if others are running 4.4.2. and yes op, 4.4.2 is what you should be running right now.

Correct.
All of you have a phone with 4.4 from the factory. I am the only one
with 4.4.2. I was aware of that and wanted to know if I got faked or
old phone.
Thanks all for reply.

new phones come with 4.4.2 already installed. it really depends when you buy it. if you are reading online, you are probably reading something older.
Mine came in Thursday 4.4.2 installed.

Hoping someone can help here. Have unlocked my pad a few months ago but now have another one to unlock. Been onto the Asus support site and can see various unblock files but they seen to be for the 701 or the 300, except for some which don't specify a model at all. Yes it's there, I am suffering from premature senility and confusion as I was convinced that last time I downloaded it the header said for specific SKUs and model names.
One follow up question you guys may be able to help me with...
This is to replace an inifinity that I have just sold as it didnt have a dock. That one is running Cromix 5.4 (not F2FS) and the guy who's bought it wants to downgrade it back to stock (no idea why, but am sure he will want to go back, once he's run it for a short time), does he need to reflash the firmware for the original SKU (ie the US one) or can he use WW now?

He should use the US one if that is his SKU. Just flash the zip in the zip in recovery.

Well, I'm from India.. Got my phone off eBay, shipped it to a friend who brought the phone for me. I'm not sure if any retail stores still sell it. You can find one on eBay for about 200$. And if you don't mind used mint condition phones or so, they cost only about 150.. Worth every single penny IMO.
Leftovers
You won't find it in retail stores ever... Only used on Ebay or in stock leftovers (if succeed)
I bought my second Relay in http://www.gsmnation.com/ couple of monthes ago. In a brand-new condition. Now it is out of stock there but you can follow this site and check the availability regularly
i bought it trough ebay, its says new in box plus they will unlock it for free so it should be good
we'll got back to the forum when i'll get ti.
by the way if i will vhange the rom to an AOSP one will it break the factoy sim unlock?

No No.. Nothing of that sort should happen..
God forbid, but if it does you can flash back to JB and unlock it using the method listed on Xda..
thanks for the reply, i'm still waiting on the delivery. i will install TWRP or CWMR first and the root the orignal rom and then back it up completely before doing someting.

Dude... there are plenty of new, unused Relays on eBay, im getting one next month.
well i reciveid mine and its unused and factory unlocked as promised. i also got the t-mobile sim card its like i bouht it strait from them, will find a use for it for sure.
i'm still on the stock 4.1.2 rom. the baseband is T699UVBMC5, kernal version of 3.0.31-995683,and the build number is JZO45K.T699UVBMC5.
is this the offical lastes modem/baseband that will aloow me to install the latest 4.4.4 based rom?
i already install CWMR and rooted my device but my question is
if i wil install a 4.4.4 based rom like liquidsmooth or CM11 can i roll back to the orginal rom via a simplae restore operation within TWRP?
as for now the stock rom works preety much prefect. the calls are great, the gps lock i great. no problem with any feture that i use exepet
for a random restart of the device once in a couple of days if i overload it.
i don't want all the t-mobile crap so i'm considering the alternative.
No body can answer me?

You can always go back to stock, the firmware is available on the sammobile website.. U'll have to use odin to flash it though.. As for the latest baseband and modem u're running the latest official software, so flashing over it should not be a problem. Works fine for me..
thank you all for the replies.
i will have a twrp backup and do an odin backup via: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1082288
and install liquidsmooth after it.
i still prefer backuping my own phone retaher then flashin frimware from sammobile as it will probley lock my sim back.

flashing the stock rom from SM-P907A to SM-P905

Hi all
So far I succeeded to root my note pro 12.2, but I failed to flash the OS to a different region. I am trying to change the stock rom from P907AUCU1AND7 to P905XXUANC3. Anyone has an idea how I can do that?

SM-P907A and SM-905 are identical machine specs so should work. what method did you use to root?
I was thinking of the towelroot website to do mine but won't if I can't flash stock samsung lollipop
I don't think it can work with a locked 907A as I have one.. I rooted mine via Towelroot, but flashed back to stock to get future updates , actually, I took a small update yesterday from att&t ota about 114mb.

I chickened out and returned mine to BestBuy yesterday. I purchased SM-90A from BestBuy and activated on At&T (loved it) but then requestd unlock code from At&T and got a letter from them saying they would not provide it as they are no longer supporting SM-907A. I showed document to Samsung rep, Geek Squad rep, and At&T rep and they were baffled so they gave me my money back.
At&T rep cannot remove bootloader lock even if you own it.
Will update if I get more info. I know my SM-905 will be have slower Internet but I will be able to make and receive calls on it via my current google voice number.

US version, firmware question.

Only have phone for a few days, no issues. Checking firmware versions available at Asus site, the one I have is not shown.
1906.5-0 is the one I have, no OTA updates available but too afraid to try newer versions available on the website.
Any other US version on this?
Shouldn't this be a normal WW version firmware wise?
Thanks
I'm on August security patch. That's most recently. Just updated after next day when I got the phone.

Ok, I'm sorry for the useless thread, for some reason it did not received any OTA but went ahead and did it manually and now is on the latest, I was just scared due to the motherboard issues.

I'm genuinely loving it, the only "cons" I've found so far are the weight, the provided case being too slippery.
And the most stupid and funny was testing Cerberus when it takes a pic of you when you introduce a bad pin/pattern too much.
The cam raising and hiding by itself is very stealthy, lol.
