Extract it to a folder
Make sure you can run ADB commands on your device [i.e. You have ADB Drivers] (this is a mandatory requirement for any rooter)
Open RUNME1.bat
Now press Enter, at exploit selection screen choose Motochopper if that doesn't work for you (as in case of J & E) then restart device and RUNME1.bat and this time select pref_event

- Try to provide as much detail as possible

I've had a similar problem with Windows 8.1 its the culprit! No drivers are working on Windows 8.1 for our devices so try with less than Windows 8.1 it will work
and the next version of root exploit will contain framaroot!

[Resolved] [Q] Xperia Go: How to downgrade and upgrade by flashing?

Hello.
Well, sorry for bothering you... but I really don't know what to do. I am too lost so the things I wrote here may not have sense
There is a recap at the end of this post, so I won't annoy you more than necessary.
Before explaining anything, I will show you my mobile specifications.
- Model: Sony Xperia Go ST27i
- Android version: Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4
- Kernel: 6.1.1.B.1.54
- Root?: No
- Unblocked Bootload: No

My mobile phone was in the 6.1.B.0.599 kernel. Thanks to the user Bin4ry and his application Root and Restore, I could root it and gain superuser privileges, so I could uninstall annoying apps and customize my phone as I wanted with a custom launcher, etc.
Suddenly, every time I reseted the phone, it began to happen a strange thing. I will explain it detailedly.
- I turn on the phone.
- The screen brights with the SONY logo.
- The XPERIA logo appears.
- The phone vibrates shortly and the screen stops brighting.
- The XPERIA logo keeps until an undetermined moment.
- After X time (minutes, hours), Android asks me for the PIN number and starts working normally.
I was tired of this, but I didn't know what to do or why do this happen.
Today I connected the phone to the PC and Sony Companion asked me to update to 6.1.1.B.1.54. I hoped that would help with the problem. What I didn't know is that when I update the kernel, I must root the phone again.
That's because I tried to root the phone again, but the application Root and Restore couldn't do it. I mean, the application did the work, the phone reseted and the problem I had with the Xperia initialization solved, but the mobile kept unrooted.
This is the Root and Restore log:

After I investigated a little in this forum, I learnt that I precisely updated to an unrooteable kernel...
I kept investigating and I found out that the solution was downgrading to the kernel I was, then rooting and finally upgrading again, but to downgrade and upgrade I needed to "flash".
I'm not English, I'm noob in Android world and I'm retard, so I couldn't understand how to flash. I installed FlashTools, but I need to download the kernel and I don't know how to find the correct one for my phone. I don't know if FlashTools needs me to unblock Bootload either, but if I need it, I've already got the code from Sony, though maybe there are other unofficial methods...
Sorry for this huge Bible. I will summarize:
I upgraded from .599 to .54 and I can't root. How can I downgrade the kernel?
I'm sorry again for bothering you and for being so retard in this, but could you help me, please? I would like so much to become root again... You can laugh at me :silly: If I wrote something wrong, please, correct me because I'm not English and I could not realize.
Thank you so much :victory:

Download Flashtool by Bin4ary and Androxyde. Install it. Then You should find the 'rootable ftf' file of your firmware in your Xperia Go forum. Download it. and then put it in the folder where you installed Flashtool. Ex. If you installed it in C Drive, go to C> Program Files> Flashtool> Firmwares and paste the 'ftf' file. Then open Flashtool and click on 'Flash' icon. Select flashmode. Select firmware (Careful). Select Ok and follow instructions on screen. After it is done flashing, disconnect the phone and turn it on. It WILL NOT turn ON on its own. Before flashing, make sure USB debugging is on, unknown sources is checked & you are in MSC mode not in MTP mode.
Flashing this ftf will solve ALL of your problems and will unroot your device.
Once the phone turns on, go to your forum section and search on topics how to root. Once rooted, you can remove any unwanted bloat from your system. I prefer using NoBloat free from market. It's cool and safe app that backups all the apps you delete so you can replace them.
Hit thanks if ^^^it^^^ helped you.

[SOLVED] GIMLO Install Failed - Bootloop

[SOLVED NOW]
Hello all,
I would reply to the main ROM page however I need (10) posts apparently.
On to my problem..
I tried to do a clean/fresh install of GIMLO V2 into my Xperia Tipo ST21i. My Tipo has a locked bootloader. I followed the guide closely and upon reboot I get stuck at a bootloop (the Xperia Z bootscreen incidently).
I have tried numerous times to get the device to boot into CWM but it just goes on as if it isn't present (i may have missed that in the install settings).
Is there anyway to start fresh? I do not want a bricked device but it's looking that way so far..
Many Thanks,
James
Don't worry ,just flash it via androxyde flashtool and your stock ftf.or you can use SUS/PC companion to repair
hit thanks if I helped you
First off, repair your phone with PC Companion (or install stock firmware with flashtool if you know what you're doing with it).
Second, tell me exactly what you did to install it, I can troubleshoot then.

Don't use Gimlo use Paradox ) or Znxt
Thanks for the replies. I tried using PC Companion in Repair Mode yet I keep getting an error during the installing phase. What might be causing this..?

Many Thanks sham4u2sam,
Worked Perfectly. I also noticed that PC Companion was running and seemed to be causing Flashtool to freeze with the progress bar below the "S" of "Save Log". Closed that and now it is fixed. I just need to re-root and try again with GIMLO.
gamer649 - What would a good configuration for GIMLO be so I don't get any more issues?

All working now. I didn't follow your exact setup gamer649 but I have got it to work fine and my phone is actually faster after installing the rom
I cannot remember my exact setup but I did use the xperia t keyboard (as it has swipe input) and xperia z gallery (which crashes a lot so I installed a new off of google play).
2010matej - I did try that in the first place and I had a bootloop although I had CWM running fine so I could re-run the setup. For this install I installed both at the same time with 0 errors. Besides having to remove the battery on the very first boot (phone bug as had to do it even with stock firmware) everything went smoothly.
Enjoying my much faster and more power efficient phone
Thanks Gamer.. I had the exact same problem with my xperia miro.
I realised that sony make believe bootanimation caused my phone into bootloop (sadly I wanted that bootanimation )

That is completely up to you. Rooting is for those who want to explore Android and really experiment on their phones on what to install and what not to,
Methods
There are many ways to root your Android Mobile. This guide will sum it all up in a clean and orderly manner for convenience
1) Rooting through "One Click Applications"
UnlockRoot and SuperOneClick are famous and are known to root and have rooted many devices ranging from Android 2.3 - 4.1
The Simplest way to root Android devices, and Easy As ABCs
1) Connect Phone ( USB Debgguging on, Drivers Installed )
2) Press Root Button ( Some devices need to be Shell Rooted first )
3) Wait for reboot prompt and click yes
FAQ
My device isn't detected, What should I Do?
Install Pdanet and it will detect what phone drivers to install to your PC, just select your phone brand or if your phone brand is not on the list
select Other Brands
Failed to Root? WTF!
Calm down, there are more ways on how to root,
Through In-Mobile Apps
For Android 2.2 below rooting is made easier by an app called "Universal Androot", very simple, no drivers required, no PC required just install the APK on your phone and press Root
Another alternative to Universal Androot is z4root
For Android 2.3 - 4.3
Some devices vulnerable to exploit rooting can be rooted via "Framaroot", Just press the exploit mode below the SU management app ( You may even choose whether to install SuperSU or Superuser ) and voila your rooted
Root through kernels
Well if your mobile's bootloader is unlocked, Most kernels have auto root function which roots your phone with the latest SU and just flash the Kernel via ODIN or Flashtool through fastboot and your rooted
* This requires Unlocked Bootloader
Rooting Manually ( No Apps or whatsoever )
If the tricks above variably failed there is one last, method. Rooting the phone Manually
This requires sufficient amount of knowledge with ADB commands and the like
If your device was rooted Congratulations, You are now really using Android Like A Boss!
Please consider hitting thanks :good: ! Happy to help
*bump
Thanks for your work.
Thanks
love it, especially the insecure boot image tutorial!
Great Guide :good: will do better with some screenies but it will do thanks
*bump Some Devices ( 4.4 ) can't be rooted via Unlock Root
Will be updated with ss soon
@Revontheus
If I may suggest, please add Kingo root too "One-click apps", there's also eroot for xperia 2011 devices to "One-click apps"
Then here's the rising superstar by shuame download link: http://www.shuame.com/en/root/ under "one click apps"
Hope this helps
