[SOLVED] GIMLO Install Failed - Bootloop - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

[SOLVED NOW]
Hello all,
I would reply to the main ROM page however I need (10) posts apparently.
On to my problem..
I tried to do a clean/fresh install of GIMLO V2 into my Xperia Tipo ST21i. My Tipo has a locked bootloader. I followed the guide closely and upon reboot I get stuck at a bootloop (the Xperia Z bootscreen incidently).
I have tried numerous times to get the device to boot into CWM but it just goes on as if it isn't present (i may have missed that in the install settings).
Is there anyway to start fresh? I do not want a bricked device but it's looking that way so far..
Many Thanks,
James

Don't worry ,just flash it via androxyde flashtool and your stock ftf.or you can use SUS/PC companion to repair
hit thanks if I helped you

First off, repair your phone with PC Companion (or install stock firmware with flashtool if you know what you're doing with it).
Second, tell me exactly what you did to install it, I can troubleshoot then.

Don't use Gimlo use Paradox ) or Znxt

Thanks for the replies. I tried using PC Companion in Repair Mode yet I keep getting an error during the installing phase. What might be causing this..?

Update: Using Flashtool 0.9.11 and the UK Generic 11.0.A.0.16 Firmware I get an error as seen here:

Many Thanks sham4u2sam,
Worked Perfectly. I also noticed that PC Companion was running and seemed to be causing Flashtool to freeze with the progress bar below the "S" of "Save Log". Closed that and now it is fixed. I just need to re-root and try again with GIMLO.
gamer649 - What would a good configuration for GIMLO be so I don't get any more issues?

All working now. I didn't follow your exact setup gamer649 but I have got it to work fine and my phone is actually faster after installing the rom
I cannot remember my exact setup but I did use the xperia t keyboard (as it has swipe input) and xperia z gallery (which crashes a lot so I installed a new off of google play).
2010matej - I did try that in the first place and I had a bootloop although I had CWM running fine so I could re-run the setup. For this install I installed both at the same time with 0 errors. Besides having to remove the battery on the very first boot (phone bug as had to do it even with stock firmware) everything went smoothly.
Enjoying my much faster and more power efficient phone

Thanks Gamer.. I had the exact same problem with my xperia miro.
I realised that sony make believe bootanimation caused my phone into bootloop (sadly I wanted that bootanimation )

R: Install official rom
I don't know anything about it but since nobody is posting i tried to google it for you, the suggestions seems to be the following:
Try to download again the ROM, it could be corrupted
Try to uninstall and install again USB drivers
Take a look at [URL="forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18718459" ]this[/URL]
I hope this helped, good luck

If you want to get more answers, the title of your thread should be more explicit, such as:

Xperia e3 stuck in cwm loop

Hello, I have done the procedure from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-e3/general/simplified-guide-to-root-sony-xperia-e3-t3012248 , then I got a issue where my phone was stuck endlessy on black Sony Logo window, then I tried to fix using this method here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-e3/help/xperia-e3-stuck-boot-screen-sony-logo-t2938585 (flashed again with indicated kernel from this thread) and now I have my phone stuck on CWM everytime I try to turn it on doesn't matter which option I use for reboot or turn off it always go back to CWM mode. I have tried to fix using PC Companion and PC Companion tells me I have modified software and can not help me.
I have googled all over internet and couldn't find anything to solve this issue... A little help here, please?

Z3 bootloop after reverting modded camera

Hello all, this is my first Sony phone but this is not my first time rooting or anything, I have a OPO and upgraded to this. Love it so far.
Here's my problem, I had camera zadas http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony-themes-apps/mod-xperia-camera-unlocked-t3071161 and wanted to change it to the new Z5 camera so I flashed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony-themes-apps/mod-xperia-z5-premium-camera-libs-files-t3260819 in recovery before removing camera zadas because I thought it would over write it, nope.
Just worsened image quality so I try to revert back by restoring my stock camera app "SEMCamera UI" or something and put it in priv-app where its supposed to be. I do that and reboot and now I am in a bootloop.
I can reboot to dual recovery and it shows philztouch,
in the flashtool prompt it shows,
11/037/2015 20:37:27 - INFO - Selecting from user input

I rooted using this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056
I have a locked bootloader
I cannot get into flashmode.
Im just not sure what to do from this point, I have the stock firmwares on hand, I'm just wondering if its safe to flash or what.
If you need more info just ask. Thank you in advance from a sony noob
EDIT: [finally got drivers for flashmode, just reverted]

If you had searched up a bit on Google, you'd have come up with this... Which clearly says that you need to clean everything up (the .flashTool folder), uninstall Flashtools and install it again. I always recommend using the 0.9.18.6 version to avoid compatibility issues with this device.

Help
Hello there
I had the same problem with my Xperia Z2, so I found your thread while searching for a solution. First "Bundle does not match device" and then "root: This bundle is not valid" .
I could just solve this (strange) issue, so here are some tips how I managed it:
I assume that you installed the newest version of flashtool (0.9.24.4)
- uninstall/remove flashtool (0.9.24.4)
- Download the previous release of flashtool (0.9.18.6) and install it click
- Install the drivers of your phone (directory of flashtool -> drivers)
- Launch flashtool -> Xperifirm -> Download the correct Firmware (again). Make sure that your home-directory of flashtool (default: C:\Users\xyz\.flashTool) is empty (at least no .ftf file may exist)
- Let flashtool create the .ftf File
- Flash the .ftf
At least this worked for me. If it doesn't work for you, you could try to use Sonys official developer Xperia Flashtool ("Emma"). This application saved me once or twice already from severe situations.
BUT WARNING: I'm not entirely sure anymore, but I think it erases your entire internal storage (incl. pictures, music, documents, some appdata, etc)
So if you can still get into TWRP, make a full backup of your personal data (with adb or simply drag'n'drop or whatever you like).
Usage is very simple and self-explanatory: Download -> install -> connect Phone -> install Firmware (downloads it automatically)
PS: I don't know why you're experiencing a bootloop and what ROM you're using, but this little idea came to my mind what you could try:
Wipe dalvik/cache and flash your boot.img again with fastboot
I used this little trick several times with success, but only with Custom ROMs (Ressurrection Remix, Lineage, Carbon). So I can't tell anything about Stock-ROMs.
I hope I could help you

Thank you so much for that answer. I spent hours trying to find a solution, but using an older version of the software would never have occurred to me. Thank you so much for that answer. Now my Z2 Tablet runs with Android 9; great:good::highfive:
emad
it work for me thanxs:good::good:
我的Z5P Dual E6883 閃光成 E6853之後無法復原 終於在0.9.18.6得到解決的方法 無法表達如此感謝
I can confirm that it works by using the older version of FlashTool, with an Xperia ZR :good: I also disabled the "verification" part as this posed some problems with reading from the device. I was able to install two different types of .ftf files (one at a time), and then reinstall recovery and LineageOS. My original problem was a bootloop, only showing the TWRP or Sony splash screen beforing screen going black again and rebooting.

Thank Youuu !!!! You made my day . I was stuck here for around an year . It never occurred to me to try an older release of flashtool. :good::good:
LOL! Newer is not always better haha. I just ran into this issue while trying to flash my Xperia Z2 back to stock. It was showing "Unknown" and complaining with "The bundle does not match the connected device" then refusing to flash. I thought it had to do with the LineageOS kernel it was running at the time, but no, flashing a stock-based kernel didn't fix that either.
Thanks for saving me from a headache!
