I've got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (P5113), wi-fi only. About a month or so back, I got stuck in a reboot loop, where the tablet would simply reboot itself (almost) constantly. I hadn't installed any new apps or done anything of note to 'trigger' this, that I was aware of. Finally I got fed up and did a system reset.
This seemed to fix the rebooting issue, but introduced a new issue: I would, upon startup of the tablet, get a message that stated: "com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly". Everything would work fine after that, except for the small detail that I couldn't open my settings. When I attempted to click on Settings, it would clear to the home screen, but nothing would happen after that.
I assumed I could deal with that for a little while, but we just moved and I needed to get the tablet to connect to our new wifi. Without Settings, I didn't have any way to connect, so I decided to try another factory reset, hoping it would fix the issue. That's left me where I'm at now:
The system boots to the Samsung Setup wizard, but I immediately get that same error "com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly", and it's followed by another error, which says "Unfortunately, Samsung SetupWizard has stopped". Therefore, I can't get the tablet running again, in any meaningful way.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd really rather not just assume it's broken if it's not, but I'm at a bit of a loss.
Thanks,
Dan

My Acer tablet is not allowing me to open the google play store.
When I try to open it, it says loading then closes out
I also get this error: process com.google.process.gapps
I also keep getting the error that Unfortunately the android keyboard is not working
I have disabled the keyboard and that is the only way to get anything to come up
It also says that Gmail has stopped working
And calendar has stopped working
There is no browser on the tablet anymore and no download manager
I have done the factory reset several times to try and remedy this with no luck.
It won't sync with my gmail account either.
The operating system says Android 4.0.3. I try the system update and that's when it says
[*]Network coverage is currently poor. Please move to a location with better coverage to continue. I am sitting right next to the modem for wi-fi.

All of those errors are from /system, which is odd, are you rooted? These suffer from eventual death of the EMMC, and abnormal behavior is generally associated with it, so things missing or just randomly crashing all of a sudden is some of the signs. A check would be to just reflash the rom if you're rooted, if you're not there's no real way to check or correct issues on /system.
Thanks

I am not rooted. Reading up on how to that now. I'll see if this works. Thanks for you reply.
I have a note 3 rooted on stock rom kitkat and I just got a gear 2 neo and since getting it I have had one successful time connecting in gear manager. but once I got it connected I couldn't select any of the settings. Everytime I tried to select something it would pop up for 1-2 seconds then send me back to the main menu. So today I uninstalled and reinstalled in hope to try and fix this issue. I have tried almost everything. I have reset both the gear and my phone several times. I have tried force closing apps, uninstalling/reinstalling samsung apps, bluetooth settings. when I go onto gear manager now it takes me to the "paired and unpaired devices" screen and my gear pops up but when I try and select it the app just flashes a few times and takes me back the same menu. I have no idea what to do.
EDIT: I researched this problem some more and found one other guy with the problem and the way it was fixed for him was by chance. He just resarted both the gear and his phone and it worked. but for me I am still stuck in the "select device screen" making my gear completely useless If anyone might know why please help.
Edited for the third time. Apparently Ididn't fix my problem.
So I'm running Cyanogenmod 10.3 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 (p5113***), and for some strange reason, my tablet keeps restarting randomly. I'd be reading a PDF or scrolling through some random app, and it'd suddenly freeze and the tablet would restart.
This all happened after I was typing a message on the Facebook app when it abruptly freezes and puts me through a restart loop that eventually ended. But when I finally got to startup without a crash, I'd see, almost immediately, a notification telling me that "Trebuchet has stopped responding", and my only option is to hit Ok. And I do, and most of the time, it crashes right afterwards.
At first, I was able to 'fix' (I think) this by freeing up space on my internal storage, because an app was on an update loop trying to install an update that was too big for whatever space I had left. I assumed it was eating up memory, space, and RAM and overwhelming my OS, so I uninstalled it and everything worked fine for most of the night. Later, I was reading a PDF file when Adobe just stopped working, froze, and put me through another restsart loop.
Also, I would like to point out that it is extremely difficult to turn this tablet off. It usually loops a few times before shutting down. Also, CM is updated to the latest STABLE update, which is not at all recent.
All this after Facebook crashed. I seriously have no idea what I do, and I would rather not reinstall CM, because it was an ADVENTURE trying to install it the first time, and I heard it's even more difficult and dangerous to uninstall and restore to factory settings. I'm not really good at this stuff.
Please help. Please.
*** Apparently my tablet is p5110, and the version of CM I installed was compatible with p5113, but it managed to work anyways, so I just shrugged and let it happen. And it has been working for the past 14 months, prior to the Facebook crash that started this mess.
Don't mean to bump, but I'm only replying to myself to show that my original post edit is now moot, because the problem resurfaced ... help.
I don't have a solution to you, but will share my own experience on the 5113. I have two of them. One has been stable since I bought it, except for a brief time when it had the awful first 4.2 update, eventually fixed by the MK3 firmware update. It's working fine. My other one has been a nightmare all year long, after six or eight months of stability after I bought it.
I've installed CM on in, in early June. Unstable.
I've installed Omnirom on it shortly afterward. It was more stable, but still not "stable."
Installed Ripper Rom. Worked of a couple days but was ultimately unstable.
I've recently flashed it back to the MK3 firmware via ODIN. It's still unstable.
I've determined it must be some hardware fault in the tablet, and I'm going to sell it for parts. I've bought an ASUS transformer TF701T tor replace it.
I wish you luck and hope your problem is software only. But I've heard many of these tablets go unstable after a while, and fear it is a hardware thing.

Hello dear forum,
something weird happened to my One S 2 days ago and I would need your help, since I am, not very smartphone-savvy. I will try to describe the problem as detailed as possible.
It is important to mention, that since a few months the phone's USB connection didn't work properly (I can charge the phone on the PC, but it won't be recognised as a device by the PC). Also the phone doesn't seem to have an SC card?? I never really noticed this, but now it puts an obstacle in my way cause there is no easy way to recover my gallery etc.
While I was manually updating my apps (at the time of the happening: WhatsApp and Skype), I suddenly got the popup message "Google Play store stopped working". I wiped recent apps and started the play store again. Suddenly, various apps (Google Drive, Gmail, Play Store, Clean Master, you name it..) all stopped working and I got a huge amount of these "stopped working"- popup messages, including "android.process.acore has stopped working".
It was impossible to get rid of the messages, because they kept appearing over and over again on the screen.
I tried to restart the phone, which didnt fix the problem. It seemed like my apps just kept crashing over and over. I rebooted again after a while and everything seemed fine. My data was also still there and wifi worked too.
But then the phone froze. I tried restarting it via the hardware button. Since then, the phone seems dead. It only starts when connected tot he charger, but always keeps freezing at the "HTC One S" startup screen.
Now I mentioned the USB connection was not working properly even before this happened. I still tried plugging the phone into the PC, and it seemed to be searching for drivers for a certain "QHSUSB_DLOAD".
I have no idea what this means and would like to ask you for suggestions on what to do (or if there is anything I could do at all). I don't have much hope, but the best case scenario for me at this moment would be to have my photos recovered.
Thank you VERY much for your suggestions, it will be hugely appreciated!

Hi, I've had my 1+ for about a month now running on stock (but rooted). Today my phone has been showing the "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" dialog. I click ok and the signal is lost. Few seconds later signal reappears but then dialog pops up again. It only started this morning. I haven't changed anything or flashed any fw or basebands.
It's a bit of concern. I've got a phone interview this afternoon and I really don't want the phone to cut out during it!!!
Does anyone know of how this happens and what mighht be done to resolve the problem. I'd rather not have to do a reset.
Many thanks.
Update: I seem to have resolved the issue by flushing the cache and data + force closing all phone/txt/contact apps. I also flashed a different modem for good measure. So far (over an hour now) I've not had the message come back. I suspect there was some conflict somewhere with the afore mentioned apps.
I have this issue after 1 week with the phone.
Same problem as yours, I only rooted the phone still running Stock 11S.
This problem happens this morning out of no where.
Been foreclosing all these apps and clear cache/data and hopefully it'll fix it...
