I saw an app being developed 2 years ago but I guess they actually never finished it. If you're interested the app was called biolock by blueplanetapp. So is their any app that does this for android?

I don't think it will work with a cam a bio metric device is needed to scan fingerprints

I tend to agree, only because of the fact that a camera needs light to function. Digital cameras are after all photodiodes. If your finger was on the lens, there wouldnt be any light with which to image your finger.
Now, assuming you were to unlock via this method by holding ur finger a few inches away from the lens, I still dont think it would work as it would likely lack the resolution/fine detail needed to function and actually be secure in any way.

I was wondering if there is a app or someone can make the screen get bright right before you take a pic with the front camera kinda how there is a "flashlight" app for phones that dont have a led light and use the screen brightness just wondering if this would work for night time pics
searched around could not find anything on this at all so sorry if it was answered

i doubt it will work since it is facing you and not the real camera
Well what i was thinking is you take a pic of yourself with the front camera that the screen will get bright white kinda like a flash but just making it as bright white the screen can get for a second to see yourself better at night

I agree. That's very similar to my Mac desktop. The screen flashes right before it takes a self portrait. I bet an app can be created, but the issue might be auto focus. The front cam isn't all that great with auto focus so when the screen flash it might show a white blur.

In wondering if there is any app for android like the Big Brother app for iphone. Its an app that takes a front facing picture anytime someone enter the wrong unlock pin. Its hella cool and i think has alarm and gps abilities also.

A close one is seek droid.. No front facing pics tho. But what's cool about that one above all the others is that GPS doesn't have to be on. You can turn GPS on remotely... do a data wipe.. see the call logs.. and of course, gps mapping.
If this has its in thread please delete it i just can't find it via the mobile app. I'm noticing that this phone has a hard time focusing the camera. I've turned off face detection but I still find the picture taken is usually out if focus compared to what's on screen.
Any setting fixes or is it my phone or do we wait for a fix or is it just me?

Is smile detection still enabled? If so, disable that feature too.
With face detection off it automatically disables smile detection.

Is there a calibration app that tries to calibration most things? We are talking about the accelerometer, the digital compass, and the proximity and ambient light sensors. I know of battery there are thousands out there so I dont care much.
Anything for this purpose?
Thanks!
From what I know, there isnt. But theres an app in my phone that calibrate when i put it on a flat surface. I forget what it is, it came pre installed.

i have not seen an all in one calibration app either. just battery calibrators, the default calibrator and a light sensor calibrator that came with one of the apps i downloaded to help with exposures for photography.
Mine is calibrate something about motion. They just ask me to put it on a flat surface so they can calibrate

I cannot auto focus when it's closer than 30cm or so, I think because i scratched the lens, any xposed modules, or hack I could use to do "manual focus" ? otherwise this camera is like useless now
Thanks

Try using another camera app
PS: If i am ot mistaken, you can focus by touching the screen
If you've scratched the external lens, just rub some toothpaste on it. It will remove the nano coating, i had a blur image and that solver it.
