Calibration app? - Android Apps and Games

Is there a calibration app that tries to calibration most things? We are talking about the accelerometer, the digital compass, and the proximity and ambient light sensors. I know of battery there are thousands out there so I dont care much.
Anything for this purpose?
Thanks!

From what I know, there isnt. But theres an app in my phone that calibrate when i put it on a flat surface. I forget what it is, it came pre installed.

i have not seen an all in one calibration app either. just battery calibrators, the default calibrator and a light sensor calibrator that came with one of the apps i downloaded to help with exposures for photography.

Mine is calibrate something about motion. They just ask me to put it on a flat surface so they can calibrate

Well might as well post the APK then and see if it works on mine

[Request]Jacked camera and musicplayer

Can anyone make or find a hacked camera and musicplayer apks so that at ten percent they will open and use the power button to snap a pic. I tried a hacked camera apk from a cappy rom but it didn't work any ideas?

These seems like such an oddball feature that I can't think of any reason it would exist for any phone... Why would you want the unit to auto-snap a picture when it reached 10% battery?

i did not read the OP correctly that is weird. What i was wondering is, is there a way around being able to take pictures when your battery level is low. Such as at 10% or below the camera does not let us TAKE pictures at all which is kind of crappy IMO. anyone can help with that would be great.

Yeah use the power button to take the pic and also to let us take pictures and use our music players and camera under ten percent battery it is like that on all galaxy s roms I would do it but I'm to inexperienced just looking for some help. As I stated the apks from the cappy do not work on the infuse all I get is fcs.

Poor grammar strikes again.
The OP is asking for a Camera that operates under low battery conditions, and can take pictures with the power button in addition to the on screen button.
Gotta admit, I was scratching my head on this one. Seems like these could be useful features. But it also seems like at that low of battery percentage one might also want to conserve power?

You can conserve power by.... not using the Camera app? Rather than having it forced on you.
Let me rephrase this I'm not looking to conserve I want to be able to use my camera and musicplayer under ten percent battery and use my power to take a picture

The updated Infuse Rom will allow both functions for what you are looking for. Infused v1.5.3
So far, no music lpayer hack.....
Decompile camera.apk ...its in the smali code...I don't recommend running the camera below 10 percent personally. Samsung put that feature in there for a reason...just my opinion

I don't see a reason to also implement that into galaxy music play. It's like travelling home from school just to find out battery is below 10%

Dim Softkey brightness? Is it possible?

Is it just me or are the softkeys really bright on the s2?
Well, ive gone on google and tried to find the answer, but seems like there is not a way to possibly reduce the brightness of the softkeys itself.
However, before i give up (i find those softkeys useful, but hard to use at night as its too bright, and turning off the function is difficult to use) I was wondering if its possible without rooting, by using a 3rd party app.
Thanks

That's an interesting idea. The brightness issue made me turn off that light all together (running CM9). I found the light so distracting when using my phone to read a book or something in a dark room at night...
I hope someone chimes in with an idea.
.
Seriously doubt its possible without root.... with root, the only ones i can find just turn them off.. havent seen anything that just dims.
Would definitely say impossible without root, as you need to edit system files to alter hardware functions. I don't believe there is a variable anywhere to edit that though, because I've only ever seen their functions to be off and on with all the phones I've used that have had them. Just my 2 cents, but I'm sure a skilled dev could give you a better opinion.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Darn alright thanks for your posts!
Hopefully a dev could give his $0.02, as i would believe it would make the softkeys more usable throughout the day and night.
i think over time you get use to it. i turned my keys off and i have no problem navigating.

Use the app screen filter. It will allow you to dim the buttons. Not sure if root is needed or not tho.

Didn't work for me either, however, I like the the function of the app for screen brightness.
What rom are you guys on? I'm on AOKP B40 and screen filter worked perfectly. Much easier to dim than with Lux, and back light for keys turned off and on perfectly.

Wont work. The leds used can not be dimmed. They are a two stage light. On/off

I'm not sure exactly how these specific leds work, but I know with store bought leds, you can use what's called multiplexing which makes them flash faster than your eye can see, but slow enough that it seems as if they are dimmer...not sure if there is a way to lower the speed or if you can even make them flash at all (constantly)
You could also maybe look for a night mode from a third party app to change settings at a certain time
Sent from my SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
That said.. I wonder if its safe to have a an app to lower voltage/amps to these leds.

It works when its placed on a flat surface. I also believe it works by using the proximity sensor which of course also uses light sensor so it can see your hand in the dark. I really do hope someone can get this to work on our GSIII.
Its cool. Don't see why it would be useful though..

You're at work, sitting at your desk. Your led light is blinking and you want to see what you've missed.
Hit a button? Who does that nowadays? Simply hover your hand over the proximity sensor and bam! You notice you've missed a text, which can wait. Carry on with your work, son.
Or you can wake your phone when the led is blinking, respond to the text, and then waste time on your phone reading XDA when you should be working.

Wow, that is pretty nifty. Let's be honest, most of the GSIII features are mostly just cool things to show people with SOME (but little) real application.
I would love this as well.

I wonder how much battery this consumes as it'd have to keep the proximity sensor active all the time.

Did you try Tbalden's bruteforce TV out using terminal emulator?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484165
Yea, its not working with any of its settings, not on my hd tv or my projector,
Edit: got it to work, read the thread from pg 1 to end, was that the yellow video is not video anymore red is, weird but okay.

Yeah red and yellow are reversed, even on stock HTC sense, this is how it works. Something about the way the headphone jack is wired, it's a hardware thing.
Funky, now to get netflix to display on my tv ... the hardware thing is understandable why didn't they just make it hdmi from the micro usb port

I heard the tv out made by tbalden consumes battery and seeing you using it could I ask how battery consuming it is? Would really love to know. You could put it like ?% per minute. A rough estimate would be good enough for me.

Well, if you actually used it, it's quite normal that it has a high amount of energy consumption. The Camera Hardware is engery hungry.
If not, and a reboot doesn't fix it, I'm alredy running out of ideas. Maybe some additional informations (e.g. Better Battery Stats) can help to identify the problem
Have you searched? A Google search brings up apps like reality piano, airdroid and a yahoo messenger being culprits. Any of those?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
its the camera daemon. if you started the cam, and exited it, but didnt close/kill it, it temains running under some circumstances. either "kill" the camera or just reboot to fix it.
