STUCK on T-Mobile EDGE - HTC One S

Recently S-OFF and SuperCID and lost T-Mobile 4G speeds. Have been going through the forum for a few weeks now looking to resolve this problem. This includes numerous wipes back and forth trying different solutions, currently back to S-ON and SuperCID TMOB010 without any luck.
Is anyone aware of a working solution to restore 4G connectivity without getting a new phone? I'm out of warranty and do not wish to use insurance to swap it out (deductible)

Also was messing around with the build.prop and do not see any of the values listed in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884249
Could it possibilty be my build.prop affecting my connection with T-Mobile? I'm using a Baked BlackBean9 rom

I think you must change your APN at access points. In your mobile network settings
HTC One S / XDA Premium App

Still only pulling Edge speeds after using T-Mobile LTE APN settings :'(

finding the correct RUU

hello,
I won a 32 GB HOX and I need to completly stocked my phone using the RUU
I just dont know which one I have to choose
my CID is : HTC_044
Thank you !
That seems like an endeavor HTC one X. I would ask in their forums. Ours are carrier locked phones with different hardware.
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
32gb, HTC__044 would fit an Evita from Singapore region.
smk444, do you know if this phone is dual core or quad core?
Or if it is a One X or One XL eg Endeavor vs Evita?
Nearly all One XL are carrier unlocked as far as I know. Maybe just the AT&T is locked.
smk444, power the phone off completely. It is best to turn off "fast boot" in the power settings or your phone is unlikely to want to fully turn off.
Push and hold volume down and then breifly push the power button while still holding the volume down.
Take a picture or type exactly the info that is shown at the top of the screen

yep sounds like a se asia endeavor, type "fastboot getvar version-main" in your command prompt/terminal and post it
No one xl are carrier unlocked unless you buy if from a 3rd party vebdor. Most are carrier locked since they are typically purchased from a carrier.
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
Evitas purchased from Telstra (Australian carrier) come carrier unlocked.
Sent from my Evita
Hong Kong stock is also unlocked.
I believe the Singapore stock is also unlocked.
Other than AT&T users I have not heard of the device being locked to a carrier.
And it is just as likely a Singapore Evita as an Endeavor.
So far the only points pointing in either direction are the user saying HOX vs the user posting in the Evita forum.
Telus and Rogers are both locked.

No network service.

Hey Guys!
Yesterday I flashed the rom "Liberty S4 MAX".
Within the Aroma installation it has an option to flash radio (I believe v1.20) and I said yes as I thought it would work good with that rom.
After playing around a little I found that the rom didn't statisfy my needs and I flashed MagioROM.
MagioROM did statisfy my needs, BUT I noticed that my network wouldn't work when I booted up my phone.
The problem I have now:
Every time my phone boots up I can enter my PIN-Code and the phone will stay on "No Signal" (no network service).
I do have a Wi-Fi signal.
I can , however, get it to work: I open my phone and open the dialer. I type *#*#4636#*#* and it bring me to the "testing" configuration. I can click "Phone Information" and scroll down to the preferred network service. It says WCDMA Preferred which is good. I can click "Turn off radio" and than click on "Turn on radio" enter my PIN-Code again and BOOM! the network works.
The network is, however, not stable and sometimes I have to do this step again a few times while my phone is running.
How do I solve this problem?
I did try to flash a new radio. I flashed every radio in this link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419699
I did try another rom (ViperOneS) but still the same problem.
My Phone:
HTC One S (S4)
S-ON
HBOOT : 2.15.0000
RADIO : 1.15.50.05.29
Thanks in advance!

If you have S-OFF just flash another Radio from a .zip in CWM or TWRP
aint work with noew radio
i've clean up sim card and sim card plug space - for now it is ok
anyway - thanks for advice
Same problem.
I upgraded to hboot 2.16 (my radio was 1.20.50.05.16; I am S-off with a 11111111 CID) and can now no longer connect to my network.
When I did *#*#4636#*#*, I got WCDMA, which was wrong. But I've tried different versions of GSM (which is what I need), and none seem to work. Even on the phone info screen, it keeps saying 'GSM service: Emergency calls only'. Also after I do radio off/radio on, it asks me for my pincode, I enter that, it accepts it, but nothing changes.
I've also flashed another radio (1.35a.32.45.27), but I get the same problem (first it says WCDMA, but even when I change to GSM, it still doesn't work.)
I've ran various RUUs - none of them solve the problem.
And I have of course tried to remove and reinsert the sim-card - but nothing works.
Does anybody have any ideas about what might be wrong?

I'm still stuck with this problem. and would still be grateful for any ideas about what the problem might be and (especially) how to solve it. Oh and to add to the mystery: when I put in my daughter's sim-card, it DOES automatically register without any problems. And I have already tried deleting all APNs and re-enter one based on the instructions given on the website of my provider (KPN), but I still can't get it to work,. There must be some other bizarre thing here...

[Q] 4G/LTE on Vodafone UK

Hi all
Got myself a HTC One E8 M8Sw, imported from china. Can't seem to get a 4G signal on it, does anyone know if the handset should support it? (Sim1 only I believe supports 4G/LTE)
I've googled the 4G bands that Vodafone use, but isn't very clear... I'm suspecting not as I only seem to pick up 3G and HSPA
Any help/confirmation would be appreciated
Cheers!

Thanks Danny.... It doesn't appear to work in the UK - looking at the APN settings it seems to be locked to WAP (padlock showing) - I have another APN setting to try but it doesn't switch to it... anyone know how to remove the preconfigured APN thats showing Vodaphone WAP
I'm running BinDroid 4.4.4

Try to reconfugure if you can't remove.
Have a look here: http://apn-settings.com/uk/vodafone-uk-apn-settings/

You can try and change your device
Change your CID to main HTC via fastboot:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
Change your MID to EU model via adb:
adb shell
su
echo -ne '\x30\x00\x50\x00\x41\x00\x4A\x00\x32\x00\x31\x00\x30\x00\x30\x00\x30' | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 bs=1 seek=16384
(copy & past the line above to not make mistakes)
Flash a good EU Rom with APN List:
BinDroid ONE E8 KK 4.4.2
Thats how my device is now, so I know it works

Thanks for all your help Danny - am trying your instructions now... just installing KK 4.4.2 as you have suggested. Is there a big difference in 4.4.4 of Bindroid and the one you have suggested then?... I assumed 4.4.4 was just the latest version of your ROM?

OK that makes sense, well I installed 4.4.2 as you suggested (including the fix) - I'm having problems getting a signal on SIM1 at all now.... I got a signal on the second boot and now nothing since - have rebooted the phone several times but I get no signal at all... have added a vodafone APN myself and still no luck. I have a second sim which is vodafone pay and go - and this does pick up a signal showing full bars
Very strange

Hi mistxx and DutchDanny,
For the last few months I have tried to have 4G/LTE on my Indian M8sd dual sim with 3UK. I am in Northampton (strong 4G signal area). I am S-off, tried many things including baseband version update/chinese RUU/ several bindroid ROMs/ changed CID from HTC__038 to superCID. Still no luck.
I saw in the forum sometimes ago that Lollipop update may solve the issue.
If you get a solution please let me know.
kind regards.

HTC Sensation 4G "No SIM card - No service"

Hey guys,
I recently flashed CM13 (cm-13.0-20161203 - ivanich) to my HTC Sensation 4G. After a few tweaks to get Opengapps working, the ROM has been running pretty well. However the SIM card isn't being recognized so the phone isn't getting any cell service. Everything is greyed out under the 'Mobile network settings' section and the 'preferred network type' says "Invalid Network Mode (-1). Ignore." This SIM card worked just fine before I flashed CM13; the phone was running the stock ICS version at the time.
The phone itself is a US T-Mobile version of the HTC Sensation 4G but has been unlocked to work currently in the UK (O2 network), I'm hoping this isn't part of the issue. I've had a search through these forums (and googled) but haven't been able to find any solutions. Relevant posts/comments are pretty sparse to begin with for this problem.
Anyone have any advice on how to get the SIM card, and subsequently the network service, working? I've tried reflashing the ROM a few times but to no effect. Stats are given below.
Cheers
