i'm current using rooted stock rom and kernel. i can reach cwm menu but flash zip file section is missing.
is this because i use stock kernel? how can i install proper cwm with that section?

I'm agree with it. You must use a custom kernel with integrated normal cwm recovery!

If you like to go back on Ultra 4.2 then you have to flash the baseband that was before.

If your backup stock is one of the recommended basebands for Ultra rom or on which are/was on ultra rom rom, then yes you can just restore the backup and flash ultra rom v4.0 full rom package and then v4.2 update package.

Thanks, I am not aware that wipe cache is needed for better performance in time. Because that was very good performance at first a few days then become some lags, now I am waiting 10-15 seconds before dialer app open
I will do wipe cache today at night. Thanks,
Ibrahim

[Q] CWM for L ver.15.0.a.2.17 ??

Is there any way to make normal CWM for Xperia L using this source code from Sony ???
http://developer.sonymobile.com/dow...es/open-source-archive-for-build-15-0-a-2-17/
You can try running one of the kernels like N kernerl, or maybe Phantom kernel which I think included CWM
But I need unlock bootloader to use CWM from other kernel then stock ?
This source you gave is for older firmware version. You have to wait till Sony realese new ones.
Yes you have to unlock your bootloader in order to flash other kernel.
If Sony will add source code of actual firmware, is there any way to make CWM for stock kernel with locked bootloader ?

No.
Short and simple ... tHX , but strange why other phones from Sony have CMW on lock bootloader (SP , V , Neo V and many others ) and Xperia L is a "special" phone without it ??

Xperia J doesn't have Cwm too on lock bootloader. Thats due to our phones resolution and kernel version. Theres a lot of graphic glitches.

Use fastboot to flash boot.img from the CM11 thread. The FXP one. Youll find it in the original development section. Or you can download directly from FXP. Once you flash the boot.img from the zip file through fastboot. Flash the ROM via clockwork recovery included in the boot.img. Dont forget to copy the FXP cm11 beta 3 into your sdcard before flashing.
You can reply to this thread incase you need a more detailed tutorial on it.
i use the cm11 unofficial made by mr.stenly
to do this, you must flash the system.img first, then boot.img in flashtool.
sorry if i cannot give you the full tutorial, because my english very bad.
Everything is in cm. Zip file!

Replace Andriod OS on Acer Iconia B3-A20
HI, I am a newbie in attempting to repair phones and tablet. On the Acer Iconia, I've come to the conclusion I need to replace the OS. I've seen different versions of how to do it, but I get a little lost in the tech-speak used. I know I need to download a new android rom to a micro SD then do a hard reset and recover from SD card. My problem is in knowing what and how to download to that micro sd card. Any help would be appreciated. My apologies in advance if I am in the wrong forum to make this request
Thanks
