Yesterday I was using waze navigation back to home, suddenly the tablet was system crush, after restart the tablet can't set the screen auto rotate. What can I do to restore the auto rotate screen option?
I using nova launcher. And already restart several times, but still can't auto rotate screen.

On my Nexus S with CM7-Rc1 and Trinity kernel the auto-rotate will sometimes stop working. I will have to reboot the phone to get it to work again. Is there an app or a workaround that I can press an icon and it will manually rotate the phone?
Have the same issue on stock 2.3.2. I'm pretty sure that it's because of an app but I'm just not sure which one and/or why

Hello to all...
I have custom rom, and rooted phone, what to do to force landscape mode always?
Viber, TED , Ted air, and some other applications open sideways.
I have downloaded app called rotation locker, but I have to run that app always before opening these programs.
I have fiddled around with superosr setting but got nowhere...what am I missing ?
I am searching for something like that too but I ended with rotation lock same as you .
You should open it one time and press on landscape a while until you see message on screen tells you running background service.
Now you don't have to use it until next boot

Every time I boot up the phone or reboot it, when I unlock the screen I get the picker for which home app to use. Any help? I'm on the stable cm10 build, and I use ADW EX for my home.
Edit: and yes, I am hitting "Always"

Using my phone as usual, went for a run. When I looked at my phone after my run, my phone icon is missing from the bottom of my screen (whatever that's called--it escapes me now) and from my app drawer. It's still present on my lock screen and the app still exists on my phone--as shown in the application manager.
Every other thread with this issue is either doing stuff with themes or ROMs, or they just removed it accidentally from the home screen. Not the case here.
Any way to fix this without doing a factory reset?
I'm running stock, rooted VRBLJ1

Seems like issue with your launcher, what launcher do you have? Try to reboot your phone, if stills not working go to settings->apps and clear data for your launcher.
Using the stock launcher. So what's the name of the launcher? Found several in app manager that could be it...

Touchwiz
I just force stopped mine, cleared data and it reset it. That will undo all the customization if you had any. Hope that works.

I have a "Touchwiz Home". Is that it?

Yep. It reset mine and added back the icons I took off. Give it a shot.

Great. Got my phone icon back.
Now, anyone know what went wrong with the launcher or what got corrupted? I ask so that maybe next time we could fix the problem rather than having to clear the data and loose all customizations.
For several days now I've been having this problem appear in different apps. First, it happened on the Facebook app, then on an app called Goal, and most recently on the Textra (SMS Alternative). What basically happens is when I press on the back button (be it the capacitive button on the bottom of the screen or the button in the app that appears on top), the screen just refreshes. I'm not talking about a refresh like on an internet browser, but more like it redraws the screen really quickly. I basically get stuck in a specific screen. What's worse is that even if I do somehow get out of the screen, the next time I come back to the app (say I switched apps for a minute), I will be back in that same screen.
No matter what I do, it's almost impossible to get rid of the screen. I tried clearing the running apps, and even if I start it over again it will go back to that same screen. The only thing that has so far worked has been either clearing data for the app, which can be troublesome especially if it's an app that requires some sort of a setup, I end up having to do that all over again. Or in some cases, I reboot the system.
I have recently installed a memory booster software, and this only occurred to me know that I'm writing this message. I will uninstall it to see that was what was causing the problem, but if it isn't, does anyone have any idea what it couuld be?
I'm running NOVA Prime 3.0.2 on the Ultra MAXX.
Have you booted into Safe Mode to see whether this same behavior occurs?

How do I go about doing that? I'm not rooted.
This can be done on stock unrooted. Power off, but long press "Power off" to see the option to boot into safe mode.
