Calendar question

I have a question about the calendar app in 2.1 on the hero. If I have 2 google accounts with a personal calendar on one and a business calendar on the other account, I know that I can link both accounts to the phone so that I can sync the calendars down from google to the phone. So when you go to the calendars option in the calendar setting it shows 3 calendars, google personal, google work, and my calendar. The question is this. Is there any to create an appointment and have it only sync with the personal google calendar? Would I have to go to the calendar settings and uncheck the other 2, make the appointment and sync it and the check the other 2 again?

Yes, just use the top drop down menu when you add an event. By default it will only publish to one calendar, you just need to tell it which one. Personal you would use that calander, work, you select that one.

edit: You can also go to the web calendar app and link your work calendar so you can "see" it on your personal one. Then when you use that google account on the phone the work calendar will appear in the "view calendar" menu. I do this for my wife's calendar and I can post to hers as well, I just have to tell the phone which calendar to add the event to when I create it, all from one google account.

[Q] How do I unsync FB birthdays from my HTC Sense calendar?

Is there a way to unsync the FB events that get put into my google calender? I would like to keep my contacts synced but I hate the calender sync. So far I have not found a separate option.
Or does anyone have the older HTC sync for Facbook that did not include the calender events?

i found it irritating too with all the birthdays on my calendar. And in your phonebook there's all your facebook phonebook in it..

alternatively, go to HTC calendar app, menu, calendars, untick Facebook

Google Calendar Sync

Hi all.
On PC I show the contact's birthday and events calendar.
But on my ACE (ICS), I just show that this calander is checked but I don't show the birthdays.
How to am I doing that I show the birthdays?

Are these calendars getting pulled from facebook? Does your events calendar show up fine?

No. I have just the original Google Calendar. (I dont have FB acc )

Okay.
I found the solutions.
I cleared the calendar cache, and resync the calendar, and every works fine.

Facebook app and the calender sync

Hmmm, i cant seem to sync the facebook calender in the account settings from the tablet. On my phone running Android 2.3.x under accounts i can set to sync calender, contacts etc. but on the tablet there is only the contacts option.
Is there a way to sync. the calender from facebook only?

[Q] calendars

I love the s-calendar widget, but I prefer the google calendar app.
In addition, this tablet has two additional calendars (a local one + a samsung one) that I cannot remove: I can hode them (that is, I make visible only google calendars) but I still get the option when creating a new event.
Anyone found a way to remove the two above calendars?
Anyone has suggestions, tips, tricks when using both samsung and google calendar applications? (for example, to avoid double notification, inconsistencies, etc)

I think if you disable sync calender in accounts the calender wont sync and hence no double notifications, I am not to sure about it you can try and disable the sync of the calender you do want you to notify

yes I have disabled the sync of the samsung calendar, but when I create an event I still have the opportunity to choose it from the list of the available calendars...
also, I have noticed that when creating an event with s-calendar there is no remonder: you have to add it, while with google calendar there's always a default reminder

In S Planner in settings below settings you will all you accounts have you gone into different accounts and uncheck all the sync settings

either I have a different s-planner or I am still missing something...
I have disabled sync for all non-google calendars and this solved half of my problem: now in s-planner I only see the google calendars (3 in total)
ut when I create a new event in s-planner, in the list of available calendars, I still see 5 calendars: the 3 google calendars, the local one (calendario personale, in the picture) and the samsung one (samsung calendar in the pic).

maybe u can also help me with the default reminder missing in s-planner when creating a new event

I did that, but samsung calendar and local calendar still shoe up in the list of available calendars when creating an event...

The above option will help you in telling Splanner with which accounts to sync the accounts
This option will allow you to select from which accounts the calender events should be displayed
As far displaying the number of accounts my list is even more then yours I have around 5 same samsung accounts
