Google Calendar Sync - General Questions and Answers

Hi all.
On PC I show the contact's birthday and events calendar.
But on my ACE (ICS), I just show that this calander is checked but I don't show the birthdays.
How to am I doing that I show the birthdays?

Are these calendars getting pulled from facebook? Does your events calendar show up fine?

No. I have just the original Google Calendar. (I dont have FB acc )

Okay.
I found the solutions.
I cleared the calendar cache, and resync the calendar, and every works fine.

[Q] Can you sync birthdays in your contacts with calendar

Hi All
My calendar is currently displaying all the birthdays from FB contacts, but i would also like it to display birthdays of contacts who aren't on FB. Can this be done and if so how?
Thanks
MinaNZ
I add in manually the birthdays of the contacts I want. Hit edit and there should a spot for it, or at least a area for notes (put the birthday there) I've only just gotten my Sensation but on my Nexus S and Nexus One there is an entry for birthdays. Sorry if that isn't what you were looking for.
Sent from either my N1, NS, or Sensation4G....
It's been my experience that if you sync with outlook & you have a birthday listed on a contact it'll sync to the calendar too.
sent from HTC Sensation
Most of my contacts are sync from FB and the calendar displays the birthdays in FB. However i have a few contacts who don't have FB pages and i have entered their birthdays in manually in the people app. My calendar automatically displays the birthdays of my FB contacts but not the birthdays of people without FB that i have manually entered in the people app. I don't have any birthdays in my gmail and i haven't sync to my outlook as that is my work email and have no birthdays on there either. So i want the birthdays i have manually entered in the people app to display in my calendar. Can this be done automatically or do i have to enter each one manually.
Not sure if you have seen my other post, but when i enter birthdays in manually in the people app it doesn't display the correct day. For example if i manually enter 14th July 1965 and save the contact, i then displays 15th July 1965. So it's always a day ahead.

It works for me too. However, if I create the Contact on the phone with birthday included and then sync with Outlook, the contact will be created on Outlook, but w/o the birthday and will thus neither show the birthday on Outlook Calendar nor on the Phone Calendar.
Very strange.

interesting. I guess I should've stated that was when using WM, haven't tried it on Android like that. Good to know. I'll have to test this as well.

[Q] Contacts' birthdays not synching correctly

Hello!
I have an I9023 GRJ22 rooted Nexus S with Android 2.3.4 and use only the original applications (contacts and calendar). I also use Jorte but for the following procedure I have uninstalled it.
I have inserted all my contacts' birthdays in Google contacts and then I have successfully created the contacts' birthdays calendar. Everything is shown correctly in my computer.
When I sync the calendar to my phone, the calendar appears but only with two birthdays.
I have cleared the cache of the calendar and tried several times to sync, but the calendar doesn't change. The birthdays are shown correctly in the contacts but not in the calendar.
Does anyone had the same problem or has any idea how to solve it?
Thank you in advance

Birthdays not syncing from Gmail

I have CM7 7.2 installed on Captivate.
Birthdays defined in Gmail contacts no longer sync to phone contacts.
It used to work but now I have no birthday date in any of my phone contacts.
Any idea how to fix this ?
I recently enabled syncing to facebook so now I have over 2500 contacts.
Is that too much for the phone to handle ?

I don't have an issue with syncing the calendar but rather with syncing contacts
data between Gmail contacts and the phone's address book.

Facebook Birthdays not showing in google calendar anymore

I exported facebook birthdays to Google Calendar a while back. Since I dropped HTC Sense (which has its own facebook sync built in) I've been using this method to sync facebook contacts' birthdays to my android device(s) and never had problems. But suddenly, I don't know since when exactly, "Friends' Birthdays" are no longer shown in Google Calendar. So I can't see them nor in the desktop version of Google Calendar nor on my mobile devices. Well, I can see one: my own birthday This means they are shown, but the sync doesn't work for all contacts.
Is Facebook's timeline interfering? Anyone else with this problem?

First, make sure your contacts still have birthdays loaded. Second, go into the "Accounts" menu in settings and make sure that calendar sync is checked for Google.
