Way to announce 32GB as the BASE model then SNEAKING in a 16GB on launch day...(forcing the prices of the 32GB model even higher). I'm ALMOST done with Samsung.
Who what now?
yeah what, where? UK online stores don't show any 16GB version...
Almost everyone wants the bigger models and complains that the 16GB is not worthwhile..
Samsung will offer both. They didn't say prices

I'm talking about eBay prices. Sellers on these sites are now offering the 16GB model at the same price they would've offered the 32GB model. Had Samsung not released the 16GB model we'd be getting the 32GB model at the lowest price.
Just buy in store. Why get it on eBay? Thats a GIANT risk imo.

It's not out yet. And in the US they only sell carrier branded locked phones so we're forced to buy from eBay.
Have you never heard of a developer edition? Also if you pay full price at ATT/Verizon/T-Mobile, they will unlock the phone for you.
I'm pretty sure the ones you get in the Aussie stores are 32gb minimum. It's the ones on the website (eg kogan) that had the 16gb version.
Mind you the 16gb versions are 3g only

Negrielectronics.com their warehouse is in Las Vegas. The only one they have in Stock is the exynos version right now
I'm seeing the 16 GB versions at Mobiciti. I thought is was 32/64GB options, and was holding out for 64GB.
They also have a dual sim version, but not with 4G.
can you elaborate on that

Can you provide a couple or few links to those EBay stores? I have seen a few that said 16GB in the title but in the product specs it was saying 32GB.
E.g: Like the seller below. Title=16GB / Item Specs=32GB. Probably a simple error but error like that are unacceptable when getting ready to pay someone $800+.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3-N9005-LTE-16gb-BLACK-4G-Smartphone-/321216759590?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item4aca02c726&_uhb=1
P.S: But then again, its Ebay. Good/Trustworthy sellers are hard to find and not many.
The 16GB version is supposed to be for Hong Kong only at least that is what I had read. Not sure why the hell anyone would want a 16GB version EVER. Also this is why Samsung is going to SIM locked by region software, to stop these gouging aholes from doing just this.
Does the Samsung Website say they even have a 16GB version? Because it's only 32 or 64

There's a HUGE difference between SIM unlocked (which most international variants of phones are sold as) and bootloader unlocked (this is what allows a custom recovery and ROMs to be installed).
If you pay full retail price or you're at the end of your 2 year contract, you can ask for a SIM unlock. Basically this is Verizon acknowledging that the phone is yours and allowing it to activated on other carriers.
Verizon will never bootloader unlock the phone for you. That only happens from the incredible devs here on xda. You can also purchase the developer edition directly from Samsung (emphasis again on Verizon having nothing to do with this) which will have an unlocked bootloader.
Here in Thailand they only sell the 32GB version and as they usually sell the smaller storage versions here (16 instead of 32) I assume there is no 16GB version available ...
looked on samsung

I have had mine on order with a online seller and its due in 19/10/12.
the samsung uk site does not list the 32gb either?
I cant find a single thing about no 32gb models being for sale/in stock in the uk so whats going on; anyone know?
i Cant answer you question but have you considered buying the 16gb version and putting in a 64gb Micro SD Card?
It seems here in the Netherlands what seems like a good chunk of europe, 16gb models are available, that seems to be my impression.

That's the only company that seems to be offering them (32GB), as I have mine on order from them with same due date. Someone left a review for the 32gb so I'm guessing they had the stock at some point.

Have you tried Samsung Mobile's Facebook page.
I have used it in the past with 'some' success.
By bringing your question to the masses puts Samsung on the back-foot.
If you do not get a reply keep hammering your own replies. It won't take long before someone starts to notice and the last thing they need is an irate customer base.
I also spoke with Clove on this and they too have not had any success with dates.
It will come but as you say it is bloody annoying.
I refuse to order a 16GB model as most of my Apps (not games) have extremely large data files which all get dropped into the 16GB (11GB after main default installation) part of the available memory, thus for me it would not take too long before that remaining 11GB's has been taken. Granted you could root your device and use DirectoryBind to move the data over to your external SD card memory but unfortunately rooting is not for me.

Max supported size is 100% 32gb acc to all official documentation. some peoples reviews on the net are wrong quoting 64gb supported in msd slot.
i brought a 32gb card ready to put in thus giving me 64gb when ever it arrives.
the fact samsung direct dont even list it suggests to me that the 32gb models havent even been shipped from the factory yet.
i emailed samsung directs sales team no reply.
I will try the facebook idea....
Yay i am not the only one who got sucket in on "unnamed website" the 32gb review on there cant be legitimate in my opinion i orded mine soon as it appeared on the site!
i noticed the date 19/10 has now gone up for new orders. its a cheak they list it as in stock when i first put the order through!
When Note 10.1 was announced and sold back in August Sammy rep. Europe said that 32GB will follow depending on the selling situation.
Wonder if there will be 3g/WiFi Notes with 32GB at all.
Was the same with Tab7.7 ...................... (no 64GB version until now !)
64Gb SD cards work with the Note 10.1.
As for the version with 32Gb internal storage, I ended up buying from the States - it got to me in 2 and a bit working days, :victory: but I got stung for €100 inport costs
64GB ards work with no issues.

Be careful..... It's not actually Woolworth's but a 'multi-owned corporation' that sells this.
They use the defunct Woolworths & Littlewoods.
Here's the same tablet only this time being sold by Very.co.uk
Notice it's the same notices "Non returnable under our Approval Guarantee, once installed or connected" and web content as Woolworths.
Good spot. I'm not getting one anyway but thought it was uk based.
I think I'll stick to 16gb + 32GB card.

I got mine through very with no issues... the only time you will have an issue is if your item develops a fault and they try to wash their hands of you, by saying you must deal with the manufacturer after a day.... c*nts
Yeah, I think years ago I'd have taken the risk but these days is prefer to have a simple returns policy instead.

Any Canadians got a 3rd Gen Moto G? I know they are locked unfortunately, but are they the same model as the unlocked variant sold in the states at best buy? Due to it being carrier locked, idk how fast updates will come.
I have the Canadian one. I wanted to get the 2GB RAM variant, but unfortunately it is hard to get a hold of in Canada right now. Also, interestingly, Telus was the only carrier willing to sell one to me outright, and so I had to pay their higher $230 price. The 1GB RAM version is actually quite alright, haven't noticed any lag or low RAM issues.
The good thing is that the Canadian versions are bloatware free, and the carriers here are not too bad with updates. Also, if you are willing to unlock the bootloader, you can flash custom ROMs as well as updated stock ROMs from other regions.

Thats good to know, I am going to try picking up a Moto G from Virgin Mobile. I need a decent phone to hold me until the next nexus 5 since my nexus 4 broke lol. Hows the multitasking? Can you play music and browse in chrome without it killing the music app? I am not even sure if the 2GB model is coming to Canada to be honest. Its not worth importing it form the states after currency exchange and taxes and duties

Basic multitasking is no problem whatsoever. I have 5 web tabs, hangouts, and a music player open right now and I can switch between any web tabs or open apps without any reloading or lag.
As you said., It doesn't look like the 2GB RAM version is coming to Canada, and the exchange rates don't make sense for importing it from the US. It's a shame though, I don't know why Motorola can't just offer it for sale retail here (through Staples or Best Buy or something like that, as they did with previous Moto G models).
The Canadian versions are carrier locked, but the bootloader can be unlocked. You can carrier unlock them too from various online sites (or from your carrier at an excessive cost).

You might be able to get it from a Canadian retailer?
Yes, I just didn't know if I would need to go through a proxy to be able to order it. And I didn't know what they would say about the "ship to" being American.
Droid Turbo 2 will be a higher end phone. Perhaps it will have the same form factor with the processor power of the X Style / X Pure, a big battery and wireless charging. Everything the X Pure should be but wrapped in a hideous Droid skin.
In the same boat, was looking online at how to order and then ship to the US. There are certain services where you can "rent" a canadian address and then they will forward your mail to you - but by the time you pay the set-up fee and the forwarding fee, it seems overly costly. I did also try to order directly through Telus, but they require a Canadian address to ship to.
Anyone have any other ideas?
Mexico and Brazil Moto X Play variants are the same as the Canadian (XT1563). So we just need to figure out how to get one from any of these countries. I'm coming up empty though.
Wait for it to turn up on Amazon Canada and then just ship it to the US as Amazon Canada do ship to the US by the looks of it.

Using this now in Brazil. Coming from the Verizon Note 3 and Nexus 7 2013 and I'll say it's a decent phone but hardly spectacular (the screen in particular) if you are used to USA flagship phones. However it's nice to have two sim slots and an fm radio which are features almost unheard of in the States. Lollipop 5.1.1 is nice too!
Is the 1563 exactly the same in Brazil, Mexico and Canada in regards to LTE bands supported? There is a "BR apps" package on my phone, presumably exclusive to Brazil but I'm wondering if this is otherwise exactly the same as any other 1563.

just a heads up, The Canadian Bell Version is locked to Bell! I tried my Rogers Sim and it wouldn't work, so you'll have to buy a Canadian version, then pay to get it unlocked. It's only available through the carriers in Canada. You cannot buy a retail\unlocked version, they're all only available thought carriers and locked to that carrier.

Thats a bit crap innit. I think for once we are lucky in the UK. We get both the Style and Play unlocked and Carrier free.
It will turn up on Ebay or Amazon carrier free eventually but could be a bit of a wait.

Bought from a Motorola kiosk in a mall for 1499BRL, which is $428 USD approx. 32 gb edition. Incidentally I noticed they had already sold out of them when I passed by there yesterday.
Possibly regretting this purchase as LTE band 13 is not available for Verizon, but will be available on the US edition of the Style ("Moto X Pure Edition") coming this Fall. Argh. I definitely like having two sims in one phone however.
Aside note, the new 3rd gen Moto G has a version here in Brazil that sports live TV and an antenna that allows FM radio listening without earphones. Why the heck can't we have those things in the U.S.! I digress.
I know one of the Canadian retailers told me that they feel like people will soon buy it with the unlocking fee (50), unlock it so any carrier in the US can use it and resell for a high value on eBay. :/. I know there is a way as long as you can get someone to buy it for you located in Canada! If anyone was looking to get one- feel free to message me! Would love to help someone out =)
Normally unlock codes turn up on ebay for a few Pounds here in the UK. I unlocked my brothers M8 for £2.50 by buying an unlock code from an ebayer.
It was easy ... I emailed IMEI number to the seller ... he then gave me a code. I placed a sim card (none carrier) then phone prompted me to put the code. Once I entered th code ... voila my brother had an unlocked phone.

I have written to the samsung UK web page and they told me the sim free phone is "locked" to unnlocked you muts make a 5 minut call to a number but from the place the phone was intended to sell, the UK
When you do the checkout on Clove store, you can choose this option: "Samsung’s region lock stops use of this handset within your chosen country unless activated with a European SIM. I agree for Clove Technology to break the seal on the box, activate the phone and remove the region lock by completing a 5 minute call on the handset."

Clove is great and I ordered a S8+ from them too. I've ordered previous phones and accessories from them. They ship DHL overnight. Yes, EU phones are equipped with region lock to prevent them from being used outside their assigned selling region. You have to make a 5 minute phone call using a SIM from the phone's home region to unlock it. That's what Clove's doing for their international customers.
There are pros to buying from authorized resellers like Clove. EU phones have a two year warranty and Clove will act as a middleman on your behalf to get warranty work done if your phone ever needs it. You send it to them and they manage it through getting repaired and sent back to you. Having a "real" BTU phone is great for those that don't want to screw around with ODIN and multi-CSC to get updates. BTU is typically one of the first EU regions to get updates. We in the U.S. are lucky to get two for the life of the phone.
Only possible downside is getting Samsung Pay working since the framework isn't pre-installed as the UK doesn't currently support Samsung Pay. I've read the forums and some have gotten some of the features of Samsung Pay working on the S7-series but it's not a guarantee. I have a pre-order with AT&T and an order with Clove. I'm still debating which to go with primarily because I'm a heavy Samsung Pay user.

I've got a samsung watch and use samsung pay through it with a Nexus 6P. Think I would be able to do the same with the S8? I use android pay also, so not being able to use samsung pay would not be a deal breaker.
The thing has has me confused about clove is that the device seems to be good bit less expensive than anywhere else. Cost for the S8+ with shipping is only 665 GBP ($829) as opposed to 779 GBP ($971) from Samsung UK site. Is that correct?

When I selected US for shipping, it automatically deleted the VAT option and lowered to 665 pounds. What exactly is VAT and why would I want it?
Nevermind, I see it's a tax, but it removed itself when I selected the US.

Just a Newbee question here in regards to using the international models in the US. I am guessing that these international phone can only support GSM here in the US - no LTE on any US carrier.
I get that the international boot loader might be unlocked, and the international phones seem to come carrier unlocked. But if you don't travel international all the time and just live in the US - don't you guy miss the LTE speeds? Or is there any international models that support say ATT LTE bands?
The phone says it supports: LTE Bands 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(AWS), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 17(700), 20(800), 28(700)
And ATT Uses 2, 4, 5, 17 1900, 1700 abcde, 700 bc
So would the internation phone support ATT LTE?

Thanks for the education! I usually buy TMOB as in the past they have unlocked bootloaders and LTE works on ATT. But if I read the tea leaves correctly, TMOB might be changing that for the S8. I guess no one knows for sure yet for the S8, but generally speaking, have the boot loaders on past Sammy international models usually unlocked?
As title says, usually when you pre order a flagship phone from Samsung you get some kind of free item, but can't find anything. Got the Samsung buds free with the S10+. Can't find anything with the Note 10.

Samsung is only interested in the US. I guess that's where they also gets a bulk of their customers..

Are you sure you want to? I thought the exynos versions don't work in US carriers that's why they use snapdragons? If you do want one I'd imagine ebay or one of the Chinese sites like gearbest would be your best bet.

Verizon told me they will support it gsm but as to whether it will ever do CDMA, i don't know. I think i need to get the latin verson exynos note 10 for that.
Are you looking for the exynos so you have root capability?
Edit: just done a bit of digging and you may be OK with att and tmobile but verizon and sprint can only work on CDMA.

I'm not really sure to be honest. I'm sure the dev community will have it cracked already though. I don't bother these days as I know it can limit some features and android is as open as I need it to be. I'd prefer the snapdragon variant but I'd have to go through the hassle of importing it and sacrifice the warranty and on an £1100 device its just not worth it for me personally

I can understand that but I am sending mine back for the same reason, I forgot the SD855 is very unlikely to get root.
Nah. Nothing. The s10+ was an outlier since the last pre order bonus in the UK was the dex thing for the note 8.
A work colleague got free buds with the s10e. I think it sucks how Samsung treats UK customers compared to elsewhere. I've been an avid note customer since day one and in all that time received a couple of free charging pucks and a GearVR (from Carphonewarehouse).
