[THEME][XthemeEngine][GE 4.3] DarkGE - Galaxy S 4 Themes and Apps

Very Very simple theme for GE 4.3 roms.
I made it for personal use since i hate the stock background of settings and dialer.
C'mon... the black in our phone is great!
It works with Xposed Framework and XThemeEngine so install them before and then my Theme.

So true!

How is the performance of the Gpe roms you tested after installing this framework(I mean Xposed) is weird because when I used it on tw after I flag Xposed it tended to run worse . For some reason though I have this feeling that since GPE is a more clean and simple code that Xposed will not affect performance negatively. What do you think?

I think that the cause of performance slow down is the modules you load... i personally use gravity box, greenify and xthemeengine and all is smooth...

if i was to use apk tool would i change framework or systemui?

Trick to lock application in memory (for android 4.0+ rom)

(Before trying this method make sure you have backup rom from clockworkmod recovery)
There are some people who are interested in locking app in memory. I found a way which can do this easily You need following mods
1) Xposed framework
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
2) 'App setting' app based on xposed framework
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2072081
Installation procedure -
- First install xposed framework (its very easy. Please refer xposed framework thread).
- After that install "app setting" app and enable this app in xposed framework module section.
- Now open "app setting" app and choose app which you want to lock in memory.
- After that enable application setting option.
- Now you will see lots of options. Just tick 'resident' option. And finally save it. I have attached screenshot for more info.

Thats it. Your app is locked I have checked it on dhiru's cm10.1 alpha 8 rom by locking opera mini app which gets easily killed when too many apps are opened. But after locking it by this method its not at all killed by any way
NOTE - Dont lock too many apps. It may affect badly on memory management.
Good trick, thanks.

Xposed Framework

I'm new to using xposed. What are the must have modules other than gravity box for the nexus 5?
Go to themes board. Plenty of info there

Hi,
Make your choice: [INDEX][XPOSED][2/08] Collection of XPOSED Modules...
And take a look here also: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540273.
App Ops is pretty useful for keeping Facebook out of your messages

xutilities, youtube adaway, gravity box,
all I have for you. I use xutilities so I can have a centered clock and date whereas gravity box only lets the clock be centered with no date.

If you use Tapatalk, CrappaLinks is required. Check that one out.
I also use GPSNotification, in addition to GravityBox.

Doesn't work on CM 4.4.4. I get the bar at the bottom, the bar on the right works, but no buttons on the left. No force closes on some themes, others just seem to die. May need a special theme to work as most don't have the needed elements any more. Code seems to be there for the most part.
Please contact him and let him know throught xposed as i havent found any other place to contact him

Tinted system bars on Android 5.0 Lollipop?

I really came to love tinted system bars, the possibility of the status bar adapting its colour to the app. A quick example for anyone not familiar:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I upgraded to Android 5.0 and am missing this option a lot, it makes my screen look a lot smaller. I found workarounds with 3rd party apps for everything else still not integrated in 5.0 (like PIE controls), but could not find anything for TSB. I know XPOSED doesn't work with ART, but I'd like to know if anyone else had found a possible workaround until we get TSB. All I found was info about how to make apps take advantage of this on www.stackoverflow.com, something way too technical for me as of now.
As of now, I think its just a case of waiting for app developers to update their apps to support it in Lollipop. Some apps (mainly Google apps) support it currently - so its definitely still a feature.
There's no method to.force apps as of right now.

Was afraid of that.. Well, back on Mahdi ROM (4.4.4) again where this & PIE is built in the ROM, I like it better than 5.0 (still).
Thanks for the answer!

Recommended xposed modules

Shown in the picture below are the xposed modules I use that I can personally confirm do work with a stock touchwiz based rom. Do you guys know of any other modules that work well on touchwiz? Share what you got here, please.

A really needed thread. Would've been great if you had created in Common Note 5 section. Thanks anyway.
