I tried out the editted apk that was on the front page earlier and I get an FC when I try to turn on video during a voice call. Calling someone with video will not work, that only puts Skype into landscape mode. Anyone have any other luck on this? One of the big reasons I got an Infuse was for the video chatting feature.

This has already been clearly answered, the skype video requires gingerbread so we have to wait
Hi, why dosen't this phone have video call? It has a front facing camera so I see no reason for it not to have. Don't you have this in the US?
You have to use skype or the built in Qik video chat, but yes it does have video calling and you can do it over a mobile network.

I know that. My question was why it dosen't have the the normal one where you call to another 3G phone on their phone number. Like it was back in the days before android with Nec e616, Motorola A1000 etc.
yeahhh ithink its funny..
android its newest o.s but its cant do think like older phone
will it happen? (video-call like older phone)
Sorry if this is answered already but I can't find the way to make video calls over the 3G network.
There is no Video Call button or anything like that !
Not skype or some other app that used the WiFI (or 3G).
Any hint ?
thanks

I have recently bought the OnePlus One from Amazon India. I want to have call recording on my phone. I tried many call recording software and most are able to record the calls absolutely fine both ways but with one major issue. In most of the recorded calls the voice of the other person get distorted if they speak a little louder or if they have a bassy voice, whereas my voice is recorded absolutely fine in very high quality. Is it a hardware or a software issue??? Also I don't hear the distortion during the call at all, its only in recording?

The reason is the the majority of the call recorders records the calls from MIC, so you need to switch to Loud speaker to record other party voice.
If you are rooted then try the Total Recall PRO app which records the calls directly from the line.
Try this, works perfect on my OPO

I am currently using automatic call recorder and recording source is set as voice call instead of mic, but the problem is still there?

Eventhough the source is set to Voice they all record from MIC only unless you have a Purchased version of the App. In Total Recall you will get the 30 day trail which will give you the difference between other call recording apps and it. Are you rooted??

Yes I have the purchased version of automatic call recorder. And the issue exists with total recall trial as well. No I am not rooted.

In the Purchased applications we have an Option like Root recording which will install a patch to Kernel, if you are rooted, which will record the calls from Phone line.
I advise you to reach Automatic call recorder customer service and report the issue. They might have a solution for your issue

I also have a Samsung Galaxy S4 which records just fine without any distortion and its not rooted. Also all the recording apps I have tried work perfectly with it, then why I need to root the OPO. I just want to know if its a hardware issue or just software issue as I have a total of 1 month to get it exchanged and 15 days are already over ???

The call recording depends on complete Kernel Support, Galaxy series has good kernel support for Call recording but for OnePlus, Cm11S you need to root and then patch the kernel to support the Call recording.

Call recording is done fine without root but with distortion in the callers voice and not mine as if the volume recorded for the other party is way too high. DO you mean to say that rooting and patching the kernel will normalize the volume levels for the caller???

The distortions in recording are because the recording tool is recording the voice from Mic rather than call line. To get the call line recording the Kernel has to support it.
So you 100% sure its not a hardware issue with my OPO and I need not return it?
Hello Guys,
I've tried many app for call recording but all only record one way record from my mobile, and you can check this while open acr call recording app and message appear with " your phone not support real 2 way call recording" !!
so is there any way to enable it or kernel with two way call recording ?
thnx and regards
The app in the picture records both sides via the line. No recording off the speaker etc. Expensive but works. There is a trial version. I use the paid all the time and its paid for itself many times.
The phone IS CAPABLE OF RECORDING BOTH SIDES. Any app saying otherwise is lying
One of the few (besides the paid one in previous post,) apps that actually works:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boldbeast.recorder. And it's for free. U must have root though. On Marshmallow 6.0.1 works
