[Q] My Sony Xperia ZL don't make calls - General Questions and Answers

I bought my Sony Xperia ZL in Vancouver, Canada. Its model number is C6506, its build number is 10.3.A.0.423 and its Android version is currently 4.2.2.
Before I leave Canada, I unlocked it then I come to Brazil. Its Android version was 4.1.2 and when Sony launched news updates, I did it on my phone.
After I updated it, the function for making calls doesn't work anymore. I type any number, then I click on the button to call and nothing more happens. It's like I didn't have press anything. Everything on my phone works well, like 3 or 4G, SMS and I receive calls, or collect calls. The only call that I make it's Emergency Call.
What could be that is preventing me to make calls ? Any other doubts, can ask me any time.

[Q] Sony Xperia Z3 D6633 Wifi Calling

Hey everyone,
I just picked up a new Z3 Unlocked with Dual sim mode and was having a very weird issue. I can make calls when the wifi is on, however, I do not receive incoming calls. It will ring twice and go to VM. Has anyone experienced this or know of way to fix it??
I've set the APN setting and everything works fine. I get LTE with AT&T and I have no issues except the issue with incoming calls on wifi.
Thanks guys.

I don't think you actually have wifi calling, as far as I know only tmo has a Z3 capable of wifi calling and its enabled by them and not Sony. I'm not sure if AT&T has even rolled out wifi calling on any phones yet, they've only stated their iPhones would get it sometime in 2015. Not sure how to solve your issue, but it can't be wifi calling.

Thanks hanano17
Im not sure what it is exactly. It seems as if it wont switch between wifi and the network to receive calls. I cant turn on my wifi at home because ill miss calls.
Anyone have any other suggestions?

The more detail you can provide about what you are attempting to do, what works and what does not, and the settings/state of your phone, the better.
Dumb question first: Are you sure you are on AT&T, not T-Mobile?
Also, is your Z3 T-Mobile branded by any chance? (You might then want to flash debranded Sony firmware... see the Android Development forum).
Do you have cellular coverage in your area? If you turn WiFi off (and be sure Airplane mode is off also!), are you able to send/receive any calls at all? Can you call voicemail? (Note that calling and receiving call is not dependent on data settings, such as APN).
Do you have another SIM nearby that you can try? (e.g. your SO's...)
Are you sure you have not configured your phone for SIP (VoIP)? Go to Settings -> Call Settings -> Internet Call Settings -> Use Internet calling -- make sure that it says Only to SIP address. (Internet calling is great -- I forward calls to my VOIPo number when unavailable/unanswered, where I can also "spoof" my outgoing number to match my cell phone number, receive my voice mails as email attachments, make calls from my computer, etc... but that's probably a couple of steps ahead).

VOIPo.
I also use PhonePower for my "landline". We have a couple of SIP phones at home, and when going on vacations etc. we simply pick up our "home" calls on our cell phones (using the built-in SIP clients in Android and (gasp) Symbian).
PhonePower is better for international calls (VOIPo has a couple of restrictions, and also does not correctly interpret the "+" prefix in telephone numbers, the way I store them in my phonebook), whereas VOIPo is better as a "transparent" replacement for your cell phone number (if your cell phone is out of coverage, or in airplane mode), in that it can "spoof" the outgoing caller ID to match your cell phone number. (You'll have to verify it first of course).

Conferencing in ZTE N919D won't work, but in Samsung it does with same CDMA card

I recently got a ZTE 919D having Android v4.1 Jelly Bean, from eBay.in - /itm/ZTE-N919D-P865G04-CDMA-GSM-Dual-SIM-5-Inch-Quad-Core-Smartphone-8MP-Camera-/271766961121
I am on Relaince's CDMA network and I have been trying to make conference calls with it but it doesn't work. I make the first call and then Add the 2nd participant. When I Add, the first one goes on hold, which is a usual thing. When the 2nd one has joined, I Merge calls and then both should be online. But the first one still stays on hold.
My network provider has enabled conference calling on it and I am able to make conference calls with my Samsung Ace Duos CDMA phone.
So I wanted to know how would I be able to enable conference calling. I've heard I can change binaries of the OS and fix whatever's stopping this. Or could there be any app which would enable the conferencing?
PS: The phone isn't rooted yet and I want to avoid rooting if I can.

3g tablet call problem(need help)

Hello dear members,
I got a 8inch 3g 5.1 lolipop, Intel sofia geniu 900mhz mali450mp tablet,
But i have a problem,
When i insert a simcard to my tablet and when i was try a call to my tablet from another a number, tablet is not no reaction,
Same status; call number screen and agent screen no on the tablet menus, but this tablet is a 3g tablet.
İ think i need a custom room for this addition (for make a call and send a SMS)
İ was tried nova launcher but it was couldnt be useful
It's most likely sim locked. You will need to unlock it. A rom will not do it.
Not sure why you think a launcher would help. It has nothing to do with those functions.

sirrah thank you very much for your answer ,
i can connect to ethernet with my 3g service (vodafone H+)(registered imei)
but i cant accept to calls because no accept screen and no call ringtone but im hearing to call voice from other phone (dııııt..... dııııt.....)
example: A=my tablet , B=normal phone
B making a call to A
B's screen normal (im hearing call ring)
A's screen no reaction, just waiting on menu screen
please help :crying:
Then I'm betting it doesn't have the programs to accept phone calls. It is a known trick used by many China based devices. They advertise calling but cant get licensed to make calls so it leaves the apps out.
Uhmm, so cant we make anythink?

Connecting and receiving call of Android phone from Keypad phone.

Hi friends I want to ask that is there any way ,so that we can connect the call of an Android mobile set means, if a person calls in My android phone I can receive call from a keypad phone since the network bands of Android phones are weaker as compared to a Keypad phone, in INDIA.
Note:I am not talking about diverting a call to another sim or mobile number
Is it possible to have 2 copies of sim ?? AFAIK it isn't, since call details can be obtained from accounts.
Is there any Application for this since a keypad phone will require a SIM for the network
There were cordless phones for a Telephone but they were for fixed permanent lines etc like that,tq
