Hi all, i recently got a vodafone Treo Palm 750 from a friend who bought it from the UK.
I'm currently outside the UK...now when i try to put my non-UK sim card into the phone, it logs on normally to my GSM network however the phone exhibits the following weird behaviour.
1) SMS send and receive works normally.
2) I cannot make a call... phone starts dialing then hangs up by itself immediately.
3) When someone calls me i can receive the call... but my microphone and speaker are off so that i cannot hear the person nor can they hear me... in other words i cannot make or receive voice calls.
4) Despite having the tap sound turned on, the touch screen makes no sound when tapped.
5) Even after pairing with another phone, i am unable to send files to the treo over bluetooth.
Basically the situation is I cannot use the phone for calls yet i can send SMS. Now I don't know anything about the different types of phone locks and have never worked with locked phones, but is this behaviour caused by some wierd thing vodafone did to prevent me using the phone outside the UK ? If so why would they let me use my non-UK simcard to SMS but not call ?
The phone has no scratches so i doubt this is a hardware issue caused by the phone falling previously.
Please give me any idea about why this is happening and how i can fix all issue so i can use this phone throughout the world. (btw i did a soft reset but no difference... i don't want to do a hardware reset because if this phone is somehow partially unlocked then it may revert back and i won't even be able to use my non-UK sim outside the UK to SMS).
Thanks

Has anyone tinkered/used this device... any users from china who have tried using this.. any info would be greatly appreciated.
I have tried to use this with a tmobile-USA sim, the phone chimes as soon as you insert the sim card apparently stating that it is working or so, but none of the operating instructions work...
Let me know..
hi
Anyone...
Anyways, for the guys in US who do get to this post from a search engine, please note that I am thoroughly dis-satisfied with my purchase. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE until we know how to use it. The instructions above don't work and there is no way to debug the device...
As I get time I will open the device and post whatever I find somewhere on this forum. From the looks this is a very good device to drop in the bag/pocket of your 3-10 year old for emergency...
[if any one has the contact information of the manufacturer of the device from China, let us know)

Mine works fine. But you need to disable PIN check on the SIM card for it to work. I found that quite obvious as there are no way to enter a PIN on the tc-200.
Only major disappointment is that it does not have a GPS, as listed where I bought it from. It only uses GSM bases to give a localization. Will probably still use it. Really small, but I would really like to have a similar device with GPS.
Hello I'm quite a novice at cell phone stuff to please forgive me if I'm asking in the wrong place or wrong question.
I bought a Samsung Admire R720 about 6 months ago. It's umm locked for the carrier MetroPCS. I never activated the phone with them because I didn't have the money yet. I just always used the wifi wherever there was a hotspot. I also rooted it because I wanted to use more advanced tools like the wifi analysis and Titanium backup etc. I also used Groove IP on the phone to use my google voice while I was on wifi. Now the fun begins.
I activated the device with Metro online and did all the MEID stuff and the phone seems happy but I cannot dial a call to anyone (unless I use groove ip). When a number is dialed, it rings once and a recording pops up saying:
PS01 Your call cannot be completed. Bye. *click*
Everything else works on the phone though. I can accept incoming calls to the cell phones number. I can text and I can surf the web. All with the wifi radio turned off so I know its going through the carrier.
I'm lost as to why it wont simply make a call out. I have the android toolkit here and can use adb to do anything you ask of me, dumplog push pull... whatever. I've seen the dumplog while trying to make a call and I have a copy of it but I would rather one of you more experienced folks tell me what to search for then post it here. Otherwise the dump is huge and messy because its raw with no modifiers.
Any help would be much appreciated. I do have a ticket in with MetroPCS but I think the real techs there aren't very available or none exist.
Thanks in advance!
Dave
Dear everyone,
I found there is missing on Gear manager or they don't want it appear or they just want it appear on 3g version but how inconvenient I feel when there is a phone call and my phone was in the pocket. Why there is no option to display the phone call screen during the time of phone calling?
Could you please instruct me how to get it on my watch? If not, is there someone can write an apps for it? I am ready to pay for it instead of changing the 3G version because I don't really need another sim card on my watch or using 3g through the watch.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!
Hi friends I want to ask that is there any way ,so that we can connect the call of an Android mobile set means, if a person calls in My android phone I can receive call from a keypad phone since the network bands of Android phones are weaker as compared to a Keypad phone, in INDIA.
Note:I am not talking about diverting a call to another sim or mobile number
Is it possible to have 2 copies of sim ?? AFAIK it isn't, since call details can be obtained from accounts.
Is there any Application for this since a keypad phone will require a SIM for the network
There were cordless phones for a Telephone but they were for fixed permanent lines etc like that,tq
