The most stable Sense ROM for this phone is the Miktouch 0.7, based on the last HTC ROM. Everything works, it is very stable, great battery life. You can get it and the optional patches here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45229281&postcount=583 There are some other patches I linked a couple posts down, also.

Thanks so much

But yet you're using a different ROM + kernel... o.o
Why do people randomly reserve posts now? And that's a +1 on androidme

There is no "best" rom, but vhgomez's 1.2 for the NS4G is a very good one.
I use Peter Alfonso's 1/2/2011 nightly. Everything works, except for google wallet. I reaally like it, and it's very stable. I haven't had any reboots or force closes

Nexusbeam for me

I´m using AOSP+ with ICUP Speedy-3 Kernel too. Really stable, fast and best battery life.
The rom is updated nearly daily with good tweaks and lot of stuff to customize.
My 2 Cents...
Big Xie's build is golden, the difference between a ROM from an established, accomplished Developer & those from inexperienced builders are quite evident in this build. Everything works right out the box, clean build from source with Xie's overlay = performance & reliability that can't be attained from a patched together, hacked, drag N drop ROM.

Bluetooth not working on ASOP ROMs

I've found that with my device, I can't seem to get my bluetooth headset to work on ASOP ROMs. 2 in particular are CM7.2 stable and MoKee. It works fine with sense ROMs. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I was having issues with BT and AOSP ROMs too but found the latest CM7 nightly works! 07292010 Worth a shot.

I'm sorry for asking this but could you post a link to that build. For some reason I can't find it. Thanks in advance...
Edit: all I had to do to find it was to post this. *dough* I got it. Thanks.
Why Bluetooth doesn't work is because I replace all apks from the rom I'm porting and it doesn't work

Yea, I read that in a post you made on Paranoid before. The curious thing is that it has been every asop ROM. I've tried several with negative results. I've considered it could be my headset but if it were, wouldn't it be the same on both sense and asop?

So what you're saying is that every asop ROM has had the bluetooth removed? Even the nightly mentioned above and what I'm running now?

I finally found an asop ROM that works with my shift! Cyclonic. it's just weird that I've had trouble with this. No one else seems to.

Doesn't matter no one wants to see any of my roms no more. I'm old news but when dread releases something OH no. The world has been reborn.

Mega, Cyclonic has been out for a long time. My device just has some weird thing with the bluetooth on asop roms. It's been kind of frustraiting trying to find one I can use while on the job. Your work has been great too! I'm particularly fond of your Paranoid port.

Note: Any driver of a comercial vehicle caught even reaching for, let alone using a handset (cell phone) is subject to a $2,800.00 fine and the company they drive for is subject to an $11,000.00 fine. That's why I need working bluetooth.

Cm7, stock,update,etc

Trying not to beat a dead horse here.... currently running a stable cm7 from last year with launcher ex instead of adw.(rooted) What kind of updates are in the newest cm7 release? Is it worth a flash? The new at&t update, how is that compared to say a custom rom? Looking for a stable, snappy, (with some eye candy) phone. And if I wanted the att update what would I do? Go back to stock?

Flash and see for yourself, as for the at&t update use gizmoe's or flapjaxxx's rooted version in the dev section

I tried Android Revolution HD 6.3.3, which is exactly the same as AT&T's update, plus overclocked @ 1.5GHz. Battery life is good, better than unrooted, though. I recommend it
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Cool. I may change it up a bit. I hate re-flashing so I haven't tried much. But lately either cm7 or the launcher ex has been dog slow. Been waiting to see if they bring cm9 to the inspire.
Sent from my Desire HD using xda app-developers app
Man, I sure hope they do. I didn't like CM7, though, because stock Gingerbread is too plain. ICS doesn't need another skin over it.
Sent from my Desire HD using xda app-developers app
Well, I flashed latest nightly of cm7. Now I really can't wait for a stable 9. I was hoping for a little improvement in update but haven't seen it. Went back to adw cause launcher ex is soooo slow. Cool though. Anyone seen an unofficial cm9 with the bugs worked out?
Sent from my inspire using xda app-developers app
Try installing Jellytime ROM. Its Android 4.1 jellybean. Its actually an unofficial CM10 build.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda app-developers app
Thought about that. Jb I heard was a little buggy. Same as cm9. That's why I like waiting for an official unless the bugs in the above mentioned are minuscule. Plus do u have to flash anything extra like a kernal? I'm better than noob but far from expert. I like small risks.

Fastest and most stable ROM for the G2X?

I got this phone for my mom and wanted to ask what is the most fastest, simple and the most stable ROM for this phone?
PS - I know that this has been asked a lot but just wanted to know what's the latest and greatest
Simplest and most stable is stock.
I've recently gone to CM7.2 and so far I'm pretty happy with it as far as speed and stability

You can get CM from their website cyanogenmod.com
I'm on my phone so I don't have the exact link available.
And I've never used MIUI, sorry

i think that CM7 Last Nigthly works really well to me, on stock kernel and V6 superchager... Go launcher LG UI 3.0 Themed smooth and 16 hrs of normal use...
For speed use CM7 or MIUI, they are both really speedy and pretty stable for this phone, but I feel like MIUI is much faster.
For stability use Stock 2.3.4, except after a while it may begin to slow down but a simple reboot should fix it.
Hope this helped

Most stable rom??

My dad's G2X is starting to drop calls now.. I forget what ROM i put on his phone but I think it was tsugi or something.. it was a while agoo.. anyways im gonna try to put on a new ROM and see if it solves the issue.. I need a smooth stable rom, no fancy stuff. hes an old man and doesnt care for that.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Cm or something based of cm7, it will be hard to match the stability
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Any recommendation? I don't have time to try different ROMs on his phone.

Just do official cm7 then, basic but you should have no worries

Thanks, what baseband do I need as well to use with CM7? The phone is a Canadian version on wind Mobile.. I've found the baseband thread but not sure which one to use on the phone

CM7 or STOCK 2.3.4 rooted both are very stable and fast.
Yes but what baseband?

Any baseband will work. But on the march 2012 one, the bluetooth calling does not work with CM7, only stock 2.3.4!
You should throw hellfire phoenix, new version came out this week. It's probably the most stable rom I've used (based on 2.3) just change the theme up to something simple that he likes.

I've used Eaglesblood CM7/GB for the last few months or more without almost any issues at all.
Official Cm7 I've used it for months now with trinity no issues and I'm still on the old baseband

I've kept the June 2011 Baseband that came with the phone from Wind and it works great with the latest roms - you just have to flash "For_old_bb.zip" after the installing the rom and gapps. Just as important - you may have to experiment with different kernels as different phones (yes - of the same model P999) respond better with others. I'm using HFP 2.4 with ELP ("ELP-G2x-06022012.zip") on my Wind LG 2x (G2x) after trying to make the rom work for a few days with the base faux kernel (didn't work out so well...). Here's my post on the install: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238804&page=24
Good luck!
Eaglesblood I would trust with no hassle.Been using it for months without any problems
