For some reason my Samsung Galaxy S3 isn't recognized via Windows 7 (64-bit). I plug the phone in via USB and it's not recognized. I looked around for solutions to this but it seems there are many ways to solve it but no definitive best practice. Also most solutions appear to be from 2012 or older. This problem just started for me and with my work PC. My home PC recognized it in the past although I haven't tried it in the last few weeks. I already tried uninstalling the drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S3 on my PC then plugged it back in via USB to let it re-install. Most of the drivers get installed ok except for MTP Device.
I also went to the official Samsung site to download drivers but that didn't help either. Attached are screenshots of what I've done. It's weird that Windows says the driver is up to date but still shows the exclamation mark like there's something wrong and the device doesn't show up under "My Computer" like other mounted USB devices. Thanks for any help.

Hi,
Device info:

I am having problem to connect with kies software since the last update. I tried everything that i found on forums about similar problems and nothing come out well. I reinstall the drivers and the software 100 time i also download the previous versions but i think that the problem is with the devise as the massage i get back from kies software is "Cannot start service on the device. Please disconnect and reconnect the device.
The funny thing with all this is that my windows recognise the device and i can get access to my files from auto play menu.
PLS help...
I am started to hate Kies and now I'm starting to really hate everything!!
I'm trying to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Wi-Fi UK GT-P6210 Build number: HTJ85B P6210XXLB1.
I thought I could upgrade via Wifi but apparently it doesn't work (and it doesn't) and I have to use Kies. The ADB USB drives install but the MTP drivers just will not install. I've tried all the workarounds I could find, installed and reinstalled, reset my Samsung and restarted my PC. Same problem. Tried on my Laptop. Didn't work. Downloaded a new Windows MTP driver. I mean this is ridiculous.
Also if I use this SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe or the Kies versions I get a long list of drivers and no indication of which one is the correct one. I tried all of them. Same result.
What next? Destroy it?
I have a Sprint Nexus S 4G and a Samsung Galaxy Nexus Verizon. I absolutely cannot get the USB drivers working on Windows 7 64 ever since I upgraded both to Jelly Bean 4.1.1.
I have installed the latest Google USB Drivers (revision 7). I have also tried to find drivers directly on Samsungs website. I found download pages for both phones but it only listed manuals for download. No drivers.
I have also installed this: ADB/FB/APX Naked Driver: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766220
When either phone is plugged in, I get the taskbar popup saying that the USB Device was not Recognized. I can see in the Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus controllers that "Unknown Device" is there, with a yellow exclamation mark. It goes away when I unplug the phone, so this is what shows up for either phone when I plug them in.
I have right-clicked the device in the Device Manager and went Properties > Driver > Uninstall and remove the device's driver. Then re-plugged in the device, then going back to Device Manager > Unknown Device > Update Driver Software > Browse my computer for driver software and then pointed it to either the Google USB Driver or the Naked Drivers from above. Both result in the message:
Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date. Unknown Device.
I have restarted my computer. There are no other devices in the device manager with exclamation marks. I have tried multiple USB ports.
I used to have the drivers working fine a couple months ago when I was running Ice Cream Sandwich.
Does anyone have any clue what I should do next?

If you would read my original post you will see that I have two phones: A Nexus S Sprint 4G and a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I have the same problem with both phones. I am guessing I have a driver issue, so if I solve it for one it will probably solve it for the other.
Any help or direction you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Last time I remember our phone can't connect to Kies and if you ask solution, sorry buddy there is no solution for your problem. Try asking other members, maybe some of them have a solution for your problem. And maybe that's just a coincident that your phone can connect to Kies.

Have you rooted your phone? If yes, KIES won't accept a connection. Rooting changes the kernel and KIES doesn't allow custom kernels.
If KIES is that important to you, reflash your ROM and don't root it.

Hi,
I am new to the forum so please forgive me if I have the wrong section where to post.
Anyway, for a few days I've been trying to save a friend's Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, which apparently worked fine until some time ago, but for no reason one day the system stopped booting and the tablet got stuck in bootloop. I tried to download different versions of the firmware, from the oldest to the newest, I tried to install TWRP as the device lacks recovery mode, but nothing, any flash attempt with Odin continues to fail.
I no longer know what to try and I begin to believe that this device is officially to be thrown away. If you have any advice do not hesitate to write to me.
Thank you in advance.
