[Discussion]Note III with AnTuTu Benchmark - Galaxy Note 3 Themes and Apps

Note III is really a beast in hardware performance.
see the benchmark result to this device:

Meanwhile, I wonder if you have check the benchmark details to UX (user experience related benchmarking contents)?
If you have, could you share a post here?

That ain't that beastly a Antutu score imo. I get 28k on my snapdragon 600 s4 with stock shizzle.

I still don't see why anyone benchmarks a phone. What's the purpose? In real world applications more than half of us actually touch the full potential of the device we have.
Its like **** measuring of phones. In that case awesome. Lol.

in current, benchmark helps users to know deeper to the hardware components of a smart phone, as well as good or bad in further daily usage performance.

Umm okay.

S4 screen size....a promising battery time.

A less than 5 inch screen will give us extra hours of battery and the good thing i am expecting is around a 6-8 hour of on screen time with wifi. So i guess it will help us in long hour browsing and this will be the key selling point of s4. Rather than the android versions and stock android competition with the upcoming motorola x phone.

My note has a 2500 mah battery and with a 5.3 screen i get 4 to 4 and a half hour of on screen time with browsing.
So a 5 inch screen with a 3100mah battery and a power efficient soc will definitely give 6-8 hours and thats when i will say that the phones have exceeded the usability of a laptop and notebooks. Many people including me are using their phone as primary device at work.
For me my note is my computer at hospital.

lol Jugger-note (plus gsmarena's battery test)

as expected the note 3 got glowing reviews from gsmarena. they went further and did their own battery life test
review: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_3-review-996p12.php
battery life test: http://blog.gsmarena.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3-battery-life-test/
getting more excited to get one as there are many shops here without the lock and can be used anywhere
That's odd, according to their tests the note 3 is dimmer than the note 2.how can it be easier to read in sunlight?

sunlight eligibility depends also on the screen reflectance. note 3 just has lower reflectance and higher max brightness

Remember that's not even with auto-brightness on. Apparently auto-brightness can crank up the display brightness to what would be around 175% on the manual scale. So in real-world scenarios, the Note 3 may do even better than this in sunlight.

Just found a cool battery trick! LOOK!

Well I can will take a screenshot after I charge it and then let it almost die. The whole point I am trying to make is that there are a TON of bigger batteries for the galaxy nexus line of phones and they work fine in this phone. So it is a good option for someone who is needing more battery life.
Also I am running Slimkat 4.4.2

Yes I am aware of that. All I am saying is that 1950 and higher ml after market batteries are much more readily available for the galaxy nexus than the blaze 4G. This phone does not have a lot of accessories or battery options. It was barely marketed and I am just trying to help.
thanks,
Justin

I agree with your point
Some ebay listings on aftermarket batteries will have multiple device codenames ( ex. T769).
We are lucky we don't use an exhilarate, those things are below marketed. Rare to find in public at that.
Good luck with your results.

Benchmark scores after OTA?

So, I updated my M8 to the newest firmware and I notice that I am getting about 2500 points lower in AnTuTu Benchmark (34161)... I do know there is a checkbox in the Dev section now for cpu performance but I have tried with it on and off. My phone still feels fine as far as snappiness goes so I'm not worried at all more just curious about other M8's? Let me know what you experience?

It's not really about worrying... But something changed with the update to skew it that much? I can see it being off by 1000 but 2500 points? That's a pretty big dip when u talk about a benchmark app that's fairly accurate to your device. Like I said, I have not noticed any performance drops I was just curious.

I'm gonna give it a few days before I can judge anything but something def changed with that checkbox crap. Have not been on it that long to notice any other effects besides the one I pointed out. The M8 was delisted from several benchmark tests because it was caught "cheating" so this was the update to address that I assume.

Looking forward to buy this phone

Hey guys,
I'm looking forward to buy this phone. Actually it's on an offer in my country for 430$ (32GB ). Before I was buying S5....
So can u guys telll me about this phone..battery life...development....ROMs....and other things
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
First of all it is better than s5. Rom developement is until now zero because of locked bootloader. After the latest update 5.1.1 battery is very good. The price you found it is ok.
It is a very fast phone in general and the design is unique lol.
So any news about the bootloader.....
Like they will release or not??
So it is better than s5?

It is definitely much better than S5.
Processor/Camera/Videorecording
Its really fast I personally have Sprint (ls996) version and I´m in love with it.
Battery life depends on use but I get 12 - 14 hrs with moderate use.
It charges quickly, thanks to the built in snapdragon Quick Charge.
You should try it yourself!
Rom development is at zero cause of the locked bootloader but I really dont feel the need to change to another rom.
OK thanks...
But is there any hope of unlocking bootloader?
