The battery was fried and got wet at some point....Randomly I searched my battery stash...Any GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus battery works with the Blaze!!!! I am using a 1950m Anker Battery with stock KitKat and getting INSANE battery life... Try it out...This could be known already so please don't bombard with duhhhhhs
Thanks

It is the same size on most Samsung phones released around the time. Ex. Exhilarate has same battery.

Well I can will take a screenshot after I charge it and then let it almost die. The whole point I am trying to make is that there are a TON of bigger batteries for the galaxy nexus line of phones and they work fine in this phone. So it is a good option for someone who is needing more battery life.
Also I am running Slimkat 4.4.2

The issue with the extended battery's is there are no bigger back covers.

Yes I am aware of that. All I am saying is that 1950 and higher ml after market batteries are much more readily available for the galaxy nexus than the blaze 4G. This phone does not have a lot of accessories or battery options. It was barely marketed and I am just trying to help.
thanks,
Justin

I agree with your point
Some ebay listings on aftermarket batteries will have multiple device codenames ( ex. T769).
We are lucky we don't use an exhilarate, those things are below marketed. Rare to find in public at that.
Good luck with your results.

This is why I'm really hoping they work on better battery management for phones coming out in 2012. Does anybody really need a 2ghz quadcore phone when there battery will just die in 3 hrs? I'm perfectly content on 1ghz cpu's(there fast enough) hopefully with any luck future phone displays, cpus, gpus, etc all work together on ICS to bring a couple days of real time use, instead of just a couple hours without having to buy extended batteries/charge etc..

That's what I'm saying man. They're moving too fast with these processor cores. I say, take a year off on engineering processors and spend that time on extending battery life and make better batteries. I'm more than content with dual cores as it is.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Best way to extend battery life is to work on the cpu. If you shrink the cpu the it will use less watts per cycle. Also nvidia made a smart upgrade with its quad core by putting in a fifth slow main core. So work in parallel. Engineers work on making the cpu efficient and programmers should stop being lazy. It's not like these companies can't multi task
Sent from my NookColor using xda premium
They said the same thing about dual core saving battery life, that was a joke! Only way I get decent battery life is with my 3500mah extended.
Still I do agree that those 28nm krait s4 chips should take less battery usage, but I'm talking about more then just achieving much longer overall battery life from multiple factoring issues android has(better displays, gpu, cpu, larger stock OEM batteries,ui,etc) hopefully ICS and jellybean really step up to provide the ultimate android experience without having to charge our phones every 4-6 hr's lol

Sent from my G2x running EaglesBlood 2.5
I am using eaglesbloods latest and using morfics elp kernel. I only get battery life like this when I'm in good service areas all day fyi. When I install a rom I really like, I erase the entire phone, reformat everything literally, then load the rom and kernel from USB mount in clockwork mod. I feel its best to have a completely clean flash. Then I charge the phone to 100 and calibrate battery stats. Some days I get battery life where I'm at 20% at 20 hours, others much much better. I'm always using the phone moderately. When I first read tthis and checked I was at 60% at 20 hours. Tried to post a screenshot bur it wouldn't work ... def. not pulling your left though. Also the only thing I sync is email every half hour. I uninstalled Facebook because it always runs in the background... makes me uncomfortable.

I take it you use ghost armor or use it naked? Yeah, it does bulge but I use a case so I don't see it. I never actually needed longer battery life anyways, though. I grabbed it cuz it was $25 and now I have a spare. With oem battery mine lasts well over 24 hours with 5 hours of screen on time, auto brightness, emails, weather and everything else syncing. I would never run a cheapo battery though.
greekunit690 does the one you ordered require a different battery cover? Or is it just the same size? Samsung really should make an extended battery. Actually all cell phone companies need to make the batteries bigger like the driod razr maxx

I've been using this battery since Feb 17th. The stock battery would only get me through the work day and even then sometimes barely. Now I easily can go through the evening with about 30% left before I plug it in for the night. Once I forgot and it was at 1% the next morning which the stock never would've lasted that long.
I wasn't aware we could use the Nexus extended battery. Since I use a case I may switch to that. If I can find one at a good price on Prime.
How the heck do you get 5 hours of screen time and have it last 24 hours? Even with the nexus battery juice defender running I can get maybe 3-4 hours.

Mugen Battery Case for LG/Google Nexus 4 (will be 4000 mAh beast)

Hi all,
I messaged a Mugen representative via their Facebook page and was told that they'll be announcing a battery case for the Nexus4 in about two weeks time. They asked that I wait for the announcement for details. Looks like both Mugen and ZeroLemon will be releasing batteries for Nexus4... Can't wait!

I was just updated by Mugen that the battery will be 4000 mAh. They will announce and take orders in early June. :fingers-crossed:
The way the Nexus 4 drinks the battery dry, I was so desperate to get a battery case due to my heavy-duty use. I wrote to ZeroLemon and Mugen and only Mugen had the courtesy to reply to me. Kudos Mugen! :good:

From my experience with similar portable solutions, you never really get the full amount, but still, it prolongs your device significantly when away from plugs to charge your device.

Soo I finally put the battery through a full day of use and I must say that it does not live up to being a 3360mah battery, with that being said @ $26, it does hold up for about the same time as stock so I'll continue to use it as a back up. If I had to make this purchase again I wouldnt. You can get 2 anker batteries for the same price and they will last the same...
Here are some screenshots of my usage. I've been on wifi most of the time and about 3 hours or so on 3g. My usage involved lots of facebook, whatsapp, frequent web browsing using boat browser, a few youtube vids and a couple short calls...

Thanks so much for testing this out, I was contemplating on purchasing this also....I guess there's no other solution for longer battery life that would entail squeezing in a bigger capacity battery in the same amount of space.

I guess so too.. I would wait on one company though. Zero lemon may be releasing a 3000mah battery for the s4 and their batteries do not disappoint. I had their 2300mah battery for the s3 and it gave me around 1 hour extra screen time with about 3 hours extra standby. Zero lemon is highly praised in this forum aswell. Post Pictures of Your S4 with Extended Batteries

I know a lot of us are looking to buy extended batteries, and some of us have already purchased some. I am personally in the former group. It's hard to judge thickness since a lot of the pictures don't really give you a side view, and don't have anything in the picture to provide scale.
I'm hoping we can use this thread as a collection of pics of the various extended batteries/battery cases to help each other see how bulky a particular battery is in order to make a more informed purchasing decision.
If you're going to add a picture, please post the brand name, mah, and try to include something in your pic that adds scale (ruler, penny, standard pencil, before and after pic, etc). Also, if you've had it for a bit, maybe throw in a couple of lines stating how you feel about the battery in regards to size/performance and whether you would recommend purchasing it.

Man, I just bought 3500 battery from MPJ.
Looking at that "7000" mah battery, looks like the same size as the 5200's.
LOL, I'm worried that my 3500 now is really just a stock 2600.

This battery supposedly can fit in the stock case.

Gps while driving
Youtube Videos
E mails
Web Surfing
& it still last me more than 24hrs
just Awesome
Umm? I get over 25 hours on stock battery with 5+ hours of screen time. That extended battery sounds like poo to be honest.

Pic or it didn't happen. That's pretty far stretch from what I typically get. I usually get around 18 hours with 3 hours screen time before the phone craps out.
It is only 4 hours of screen on time because I was at work all day yesterday but yeah close enough.

awesome, I had an old build from beanstalk and it was very stable but then went on to experiment on other things, but I'm about to go back to Beanstalk downloading it as I write, you should try Ktoonz kernel that's what I've been using with all my roms, it'll boost your battery life :victory:

Lol thanks. XD I'll see how much my anker batteries last. (I do apologize for hijacking your thread) I just don't see a point in a bigger battery when I can have three and swap it out PLUS I can use any case I want anywho goodluck on the extended batteries.
