Moto X "Colors" Bootanimation - Moto X Themes and Apps

I have created a bootanimation based on Moto's new logo and the Moto X box logo. Check it out:
Light
Download it here, along with the bootlogo to go with it.
Dark
Download it here, along with the bootlogo to go with it.
Instructions on how to install a bootlogo are here (thanks, jcase!)
Place the animation in /system/media and enjoy!

This is fantastic! Great work!

+1 for this comment. Love the look. But the white background is blinding.
Great work on the Moto logo though.

Alright, I made a dark one and added it to the OP!

I can't get the android SDK toolkit installed.
Is there a way to do the clogo without it?

Should be fixed now, my bad.

Looks awesome and worked seamlessly, thank you so much!

love to dark clogo and bootanimation looks awesome and seamless

Didnt work for me.....put in /system/media and rebooted and it was just the normal verizon boot animation.
Do I need root for this? I have it but I dont have the new write protection thing.

You need to install jcase's PwnMyMoto tool here.
When you have that, you can boot into write protection off mode by booting into recovery.

Would love to see the animation modded to say maxx in the lighter font of the 'x'!
Looks great.

Nice

The Motorola batwings is not well placed in the circle. consider moving it up a bit IMHO

I thought the same thing, but that's actually the way Moto did it in that particular logo. I didn't touch the spacing/

Nice it worked.
I had root so I used adb shell in CMD prompt to terminal into the Android OS. I granted root access via "su" command and made the filesystem writeable with "mount -o remount, rw /system". I copied the bootanimation.zip from /storage/scard0/ to /system/media, and then ran "flashboot flash clogo <path>" of the image file.
The instructions aren't clear on any of the links.

Can't get it to work. I followed the instruction but all I get if a faded screen with a black box where the "unlocked bootloader warning" message was. I tried both clogo and logo. I am unlocked and rooted.
Sent from my XT1055 using Tapatalk

This is the coolest boot animation I've ever seen. I like how it transitions from the bootlogo to the bootanimation. I wish my Galaxy Nexus booted up this fast--the transitions would look just as cool. Nice work man!

[MOD] AOSP Lockscreen for Razr I

Here's little something for people bored with crappy blur widgets. This update replaces unlocker widget with AOSP (variant with camera and unlocker items) on the phone unlock screen.
Installation:
=========
1. Copy downloaded zip image to your sd card.
2. Reboot into recovery and run update from zip file.
3. Enjoy
Thanks:

A little confused, we don't have custom recovery yet
EDIT: I used Root Explorer to replace framework-res.apk and set permissions. Works great, thanks!

The screenshot also appears to have a 1% battery increment mod and the carrier banner has been removed from the top left of the notification bar. Are those mods included in this zip as well?

I replaced the framework-res.apk as well. The problem is, now the music widget doesn't work, it still shows on the lockscree, but the prev and skip buttons wont work. this is not a motorola widget, this is a stock ics widget

Yeah the lock screen widgets for beyondpod/google music doesn't work with the modded lock screen here also. Still prefer running the modded one, would be nice to have both ways though.

Anyone have a flashable zip of the new Android boot screen?

Hey guys anyone have a flashable zip of the new Android animation? I have an insecure boot kernel and I put the files in the right spot but I only get a black screen. I fixed the permissions and made sure I typed "bak" at the end of the original boots. And nothing
You put it in /system/customize/resouce/vzw_bootup.zip?
That's what I did and its working just fine. I also have it set as the down animation.

Xperia X Series Bootanimation - BLACK version & BLACK/LIGHTBLUE version

Hi,
downloading from here the original white version, I change it to black version.
In my opinion, too white in the original version. So, I made it black.
Since that is a negative version of the original, colors are changed respect original version. But, for me, looks good and I want to share.
This is a 1280x720 version, that works good on my Z1 Compact.
Some images on preview, and attachment below.
Pre-requirement: root access to system folder (R/W mount)
Install instructions:
1- make a backup copy of your existent bootanimation.zip on the system/media folder
2- overwrite it with this version.
3- change permission of the file to rw-r-r
4- restart phone and enjoy!
If you like it, press Thanks button.
EDIT: In the attachment the "domusx10 light blue" version also! that I like so much!! Look at the latest screenshots...
Wooooow! Looks amazing! Thank you

I like the design, but I think some pictures are in the wrong order? 00159 is green, 00160 and 00161 blue, 00162 is green again part 2 is infinite, so my phone won't play part 4, right?
It's my first look into boot animations so please bear with me if I'm completely wrong!

Hi, the colours alternation it's due to Sony effects in the original bootanimation..due to the negative effect applied to original file, colors come out are that you've mentioned..
Io my opinion total white Xperia logo is better, I'm planning to release a white Xperia logo version of this animation soon..stay in touch!
I've added in the OP a new version "domusx10 light blue"...look at latest screenshots!

My phone bootloops and, as I'm an absolute moron, I have no recovery.
(the no recovery part is 100% my fault and I acknowledge that I possibly wasted 400€ on a boot animation).
I did exactly what you said in the original post, but I guess I messed up. I'm now hard resetting with PC Companion and hoping my backup didn't corupt.
Sorry for being such a noob.

What? So strange..I have light blue version on my old z1c, no problem..a bootanimation that cause a bootloops it's so strange.. In my experience, when I put an incorrect bootanimation version on my z1c the result was no display bootanimation.. Black screen for a minute and after the lockscreen..never have a bootloops. Which phone do you have? Because this resolution is for z1c I don't know if works wirh other phones (as I wrote in op)
In any case pc companion can fix the problem without loose data..
Good luck ? and I hope you resolve this problem.

[MOD] [BOOTANIMATION] Google Pixel bootsplashs and bootanimations (black and white)

Hi guys. I couldn't find these on our M8 forum, but I have grabbed the black version of the boot animation from the nexus-6p forum. Also included is the matching bootsplash. Everything resized for our 1080x1920 M8 phones.
*Update* 2017-01-07
As requested adding the white versions. I also made a reversed black version that starts with the "G" and ends with "Google", bootsplash_pix_blk_r.zip & bootanimation_pix_blk_r.zip. I may tweak it if anyone else likes it.
You can flash all zips from TWRP recovery.
Enjoy

Damn that looks so fine!
Animation is nice but I'd prefer OP logo breaking down and creating Google logo then they jumping on each other like on pixel and then roaming around one circle and at the end merging to form Google's G logo.. That'd be very good.
looks good!

sure. our stock bootanimation shows google logo with made by android in the pre boot screen and then suddenly oneplus logo comes up. no transition is there. for me that's lack of continuity of animation. in my bootanimation ive made it so the google logo from pre boot screen has a transition animation when booting screen comes like is pixel. hope you understood.
