This can happen when the .odex file from a previous install remains in /data/app. I have used a file manager, "root explorer" to delete the file.

Than q very much man i got it

Thanks for posting this info!!!
I had the same problem I had deleted Titanium Backup and tried to re install it but kept getting the popup saying insufficient storage available.
Sure enough I opened the data/app file and there was an odex file for TiBu and once I deleted it I was able to install TiBu no problem.

Some ppl said it works by delete/move/rename old android.vending in system/apps then place this apk in that folder. reboot and you should have the new market on ur devices.
thanks : f000h
always FC on mytouch 4g
Pretty sure you have to rename whichever you put there to "Vending.apk" but not positive, read that in another thread.

ya.. u need 2rename it Vending.apk then copy paste using rootexplorer
changelog?
anybody tried this? is this thing working?
There's a 2.2.7 for 2.1 devices somewhere on this forum from when it was first released for 2.2 devices.
Yes, rename the package to Vending.apk and copy/move it to the /System/Apps folder using adb or Root Explorer. I would recommend making a backup copy of your existing Vending.apk just in case you run into problems.
v2.2.70 is working just fine on my Samsung Galaxy S DJ20 running 2.1

You know what I have installed this but in a few simple steps:
1:MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!
2: Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications> Then the Running tab.
3:Force Stop Google Services Framework and Clear its data
4:Repeat step 3 for Market
5:Install new market for what ever version of android you are running.
6:Reboot
7:DO NOT SKIP the new device setup
8:Start up the market and accept TOS
9rofit????????
I am running 2.2.1 on my milestone with a custom ROM (Cronos) but this is exactly what I did and the new market is pretty AWSOME!!!! XDDD Although one note is that the market did force close a couple of times before I got the TOS so try and try once more, but enjoy it if you get it up and running

[Q] Google Calendar on Stock JB??

As the title says, when I was on ICS, i had Google Calendar and its useful widget, but on JB, it is gone.
Is there any way to get it back??
Mine is there....Is the entire application missing? I'd think being on stock none of that stuff would be touched/modified.

The first image shows Calendar is not in the app drawer and the second shows the failure at installing.
The .apk must be installed normally or it should be put in /system??
please help!
you have to install it to the system. try using a file explorer or adb, i prefer adb cos its faster. if you use root explorer, set the permission to wr-r-r. and you put it in /system/app

Did tried that, but it didn't worked either. After some little investigation, Calendar.apk was in system/app the whole time. It seems the problem comes from CalendarProvider.apk. I went to system/app, tried to install CalendarProvider.apk, and it gave an error, telling me that the same app was installed, but with a conflictive signing.
Can anyone provide me with a clean, JB version of CalendarProvider.apk??
the internets is full of the GB and ICS version of that one...
Thanks in advance.

I will upload one as soon as I get home. And make sure you have a root explorer and move the app to the folder and set permission wr-r-r.

I am also trying to create movable Firefox, GMaps etc. Keep in touch if you are interested.
You can give me list of all apps in which you are interested. I will try to make them movable to SD.

The problem is that i cant find a way to unroot my ace+.
Plz help me...!

There isnt a unroot.zip flashable file, like for other sam devices??? I dont want to mess it up....
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I think you can make it self ! with little modification from flashable file Root.zip for your phone, just delete folder system than edit updater-script file on META-INF folder
I don't know how to do this...
I rooted my phone via Odin, so I don't have the root.zip file....
I searched for it in the web, but some people were reporting that this file make their phone bootlooping....
Can plz tell me how to do, or post link to a guide? Tnx
