[Q] Root Method HELP SGS3

Hi devs and readers,
I am having Samsung galaxy s3 international version running on Android Jellybean 4.1.2 with base band version as 19300XXEMA5 . Upto today I have not found a rooting tutorial prescribed for 19300XXEMA5 firmware. Pls help me on rooting my phone. Also guide me on rooting by a small tips and tutorial......

As your device is well know this is quite easy.
Download FramaRoot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
Go to the bottom of the first post and click on Framaroot-1.6.1.apk, download will begin.
Install the app, and just select the root option.
So you can root your SGS3 without computer!

Sorry becoz framaroot doesn't works fo my kernel. Samsung patched the hole in the kernel by which the framaroot works through the last kernel update..... so framaroot doesn't works. Anyway thanks for your help.

Then try Z4Root, SRSRoot, SuperOneClick.
Enough possibilities
But do you know how they work?

While I googled I found, Chain Fire odin flashing is the most popular for my phone. But it seems to be varying for each firmware version. And for my 19300XXEMA5 I cant find any method or cf root .md5 file. Thats why I seeked xda....

No. Am not sure. If there is another safe and risk free way like framaroot, I would select it. If there was any other secure method tell me pls....

Yes, SRSRoot is definitely safe, I used 3 times to root a device, twice it didn't do it and nothing bad happened, so it's safe.
It's a universal one click root program for android 4.0 or higher.

Don't forget to enable usb-debugging and install the correct drivers for your device.

Worked for me until the last December firmware. Now it just says "device not supported"

Can the firmware be downgraded? Flashing a stock rom?

I also own the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style SM-G310HN, running KitKat Version 4.4.2. I have had no success with gaining root access. I tried TowelPieRoot from her://forums.androidcentral.com/moto-x-rooting-roms-hacks/417014-one-click-root-4-4-2-finally.html
Results were "Device Not Supported".
Has anybody found a solution as of June 2015?

At this time, the only method that works with all roms, even the latest one (G310HNXXU0AOC1), is using KingRoot, I've used the version NewKingrootV4.52_C127_B227 found on this forum.
At the end of the process, the app says that the root is failed, but it isn't true. If you close and reopen KingRoot, you'll find that it's rooted.

ZTE Grand SII (S251) Rooting Guide!!!! (Indian 3G Version)

Hello Everyone!!!!
This is a rooting guide for ZTE Grand SII (S251) which was released in india in the past week.... after trying a number of tools i was successfully able to root the phone, so this is a guide for those who would like to root their phone.... i am not a developer just a power user
1) Connect ur phone to ur pc first time in "Install driver mode" and install the adb drivers first... (Or else you can run setup from the attached file below for installing the drivers for your phone)
2) Once drivers are installed enable "developers Option" in settings and enable "USB debugging"
3) Then download root genius from the attachment below
4) Connect your phone to the pc and select "connect to pc Software" and let the drivers install
5) fire up root genius with administers privileges (you should have internet connection for this)
6) if you have done everything as described above then u should see connected on bottom left of your screen, click i accept agreement and click root and wait....
7) It should take 2 to 3 mins to root using all the possible exploits (internet connection is required for this) and then it should say that you have successfully rooted your phone
8) Once it tells you its successfully rooted close the program disconnect your phone from pc and restart
9) you should see a new program called KingUser in your app drawer (which is like superUser)
10) and Voila!!! your phone is rooted!!!! to confirm this download any free root checker from playstore and check your root privileges.....
NB:
1) You can replace kinguser with super user just by downloading it from the store and installing and updating its binary...... i have taken a backup of kinguser in titanium backup before installing superuser and replacing it as a system app.....
2) You can follow this guide cautiously cause if you brick your phone then i am not responsible..... this has worked for me and hence wanted to share it with the community which has helped me countless times in the past.....
3) if you root your phone your warranty would also void and i am not responsible for the same.....
4) any help or suggestion would definitely help with that

As of now its not available for our device and frankly have not tried it too, since there is no modder who is ready to work on our device..... have gifted this phone to wife for this sole reason and moved over to OnePlus One....

Guys can you confirm the model number is S251 for the Indian version of ZTE Grand S2. Also did anyone come across stock official firmware for ZTE Grand S2? I was a kernel developer for Xperia ZL previously and I can try porting recovery for our device if anyone could point me to any stock firmware for this device so that I can recover my device incase I brick it.

Yep the Indian Grand s2 model number is S251 and it's only 3g with CDMA unlike the international variant which is 4g lte variant ..... And i have yet to come across a stock firmware and recovery for this device hence am skeptical to flash anything else... Wish u could help us out with a working custom recovery....

I've already received my device and started working on CWM. I was thinking of making a unification thread for all the ZTE Grand S II devices. I'll try doing that but if anyone's willing to do that post the link to that thread here to redirect users. Also I found the stock firmware files for our device so we can always go back to working stock firmware in case anything goes wrong. I'll post link to stock firmware later

I downloaded it, but it didnt install. On going through the details on the site it states that it works only on Kitkat devices. Can you confirm how you installed this on your device

No one has made CWM for your phone.
Follow this procedure to create it: How To Make / Flash CWM Recovery

How to root Micromax Canavas Spark lollipop 5.0
1. Download Super-Root.apk for Micromax Canvas.
2. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the Super-Root.apk over to the root of your SD card.
4. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.
5. Head to Menu>>Settings>>Security on your device and enable the Unknown sources option.
6. Open the File Manager app on your device and install the app you copied earlier to your device.
7. Once the app’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.
8. Select Install SuperSU from the first dropdown menu.
9. Select exploit, tap on it in the app.
10. The app should begin rooting your device, shouldn’t take too long to finish.
11. Reboot your device once it’s been rooted.

Successful rooting using super root tool for canvas spark
After trying with kingo the device still was not able to access root permissions but using super root tool the device acheived it easily and successfully
Visit bestandroidrootedapps(dot)com and search for canvas spark there

my canvas spark just got delivered few hours back.
Will be rooting it using attempts I can do.
And I would share that method directly here and on YouTube and not like those users who link to required files and want users to complete survey/install virus
before they can share information.
only SICK kind of people share knowledge and blackmail innocent users by injecting spywares etc.

Can't share the link you can search it as mentioned to vote thanks for it but the method goes as follows
1. open super root
2. click install supersu from the first drop down menu which asks you for which action to be performed after root
3. when exploits show up click on one of them.
4. after around 2 minutes your device will be rooted , RESTART ONCE.
5. you will find supersu app installed for managing root authentication
IT WORKS AND IT IS NOT A SPAM, happy rooting!!

Yhup! Kingroot did root most of latest smartphone nowadays, since I'm using AFP I tried this and works like a charm, but I need to change Kinguser to SuperSU.

I think you should try latest version of framaroot
Or you can use iroot
Or rootmaster
Or universal androot
But i recommend you to use framaroot or universal Androot app

So sorry to hear about your phone. So I bought this AOFP from a previous owner who rooted it and put in a rom everything works fine but the GPS. Waze doesn't work even on high accuracy (GPS Satellites, wifi, 4G). It won't work on any app.
