ROOT MANY ANDROID, VRoot Program, Will ROOT all devices.

Hello, the VRoot Program is from the bbs.mgyun.com forum. This is based on ROMASTER root program used to root MTK Devices. This program can root Qualcomm, TI OMAP Phones and other different chipsets. This will root many Android 2.3.7 phones where they are no exploits working such as the Motorola Defy XT CDMA version.
The VRoot program is not my work! I'm just sharing it on XDA, the thread will be updated when a new version is released.

It doesn't state that it can root many Android Phones in the title so users won't bother going to that thread, anyway I have uploaded on XDA because the Chinese servers are very slow :silly:
Download the attachment below.
Unzip the file.

I have uploaded the English version of the program.
After you root it, you can test it by typing these commands in cmd

and if it works it will give you a # sign.
This program will install Chinese superuser and Chinese su binary, so you have to update to an English version of Superuser from the market such as Superuser by ChainsDD, SuperSU by Chainfire, Superuser by Koush.

I believe it uses a chipset specific exploit to gain root access.

If such a thing exists, we should /really/ understand how it works!! Now that's intriguing. Btw that link is not related to the android exploit

Hey,
I own a Micromax Canvas Plus A110q recently i flashed with latest firmware "s9086b_mp_f2f3f8_b1_in_mmx_16_flasher_user"
and after that i am unable to root my device can anybody tell me how can i do that it'll be great help.

What about AOSP builds, can we root them also using this procedure

Until this method is verified to be working safely and without malware, I would advise everyone not to use this method. This thread and any other are to be closed on sight. Please report them to the moderation team.

ZTE Grand SII (S251) Rooting Guide!!!! (Indian 3G Version)

Hello Everyone!!!!
This is a rooting guide for ZTE Grand SII (S251) which was released in india in the past week.... after trying a number of tools i was successfully able to root the phone, so this is a guide for those who would like to root their phone.... i am not a developer just a power user
1) Connect ur phone to ur pc first time in "Install driver mode" and install the adb drivers first... (Or else you can run setup from the attached file below for installing the drivers for your phone)
2) Once drivers are installed enable "developers Option" in settings and enable "USB debugging"
3) Then download root genius from the attachment below
4) Connect your phone to the pc and select "connect to pc Software" and let the drivers install
5) fire up root genius with administers privileges (you should have internet connection for this)
6) if you have done everything as described above then u should see connected on bottom left of your screen, click i accept agreement and click root and wait....
7) It should take 2 to 3 mins to root using all the possible exploits (internet connection is required for this) and then it should say that you have successfully rooted your phone
8) Once it tells you its successfully rooted close the program disconnect your phone from pc and restart
9) you should see a new program called KingUser in your app drawer (which is like superUser)
10) and Voila!!! your phone is rooted!!!! to confirm this download any free root checker from playstore and check your root privileges.....
NB:
1) You can replace kinguser with super user just by downloading it from the store and installing and updating its binary...... i have taken a backup of kinguser in titanium backup before installing superuser and replacing it as a system app.....
2) You can follow this guide cautiously cause if you brick your phone then i am not responsible..... this has worked for me and hence wanted to share it with the community which has helped me countless times in the past.....
3) if you root your phone your warranty would also void and i am not responsible for the same.....
4) any help or suggestion would definitely help with that

Thx bro... Just trying to help.... Nope a developer needs to port the ROM for our device then only we might get a custom ROM...

As of now its not available for our device and frankly have not tried it too, since there is no modder who is ready to work on our device..... have gifted this phone to wife for this sole reason and moved over to OnePlus One....

Guys can you confirm the model number is S251 for the Indian version of ZTE Grand S2. Also did anyone come across stock official firmware for ZTE Grand S2? I was a kernel developer for Xperia ZL previously and I can try porting recovery for our device if anyone could point me to any stock firmware for this device so that I can recover my device incase I brick it.

Yep the Indian Grand s2 model number is S251 and it's only 3g with CDMA unlike the international variant which is 4g lte variant ..... And i have yet to come across a stock firmware and recovery for this device hence am skeptical to flash anything else... Wish u could help us out with a working custom recovery....

I've already received my device and started working on CWM. I was thinking of making a unification thread for all the ZTE Grand S II devices. I'll try doing that but if anyone's willing to do that post the link to that thread here to redirect users. Also I found the stock firmware files for our device so we can always go back to working stock firmware in case anything goes wrong. I'll post link to stock firmware later

Wow... Would really appreciate that.... Just be sure which thread u would be merging because the international variant is completely different (snapdragon 801 whereas ours is 800) would really luv to see the links to stock firmware and recovery...

Simply download towelroot from towel root.org .. Install it. Click on the make it rain button .. Wait for a few seconds.. It will congrats.. Reboot.. Download root checker from play store.. Check if u got root.. If positive, download supersu from play store. Done

I downloaded it, but it didnt install. On going through the details on the site it states that it works only on Kitkat devices. Can you confirm how you installed this on your device

Infocus m530 rooting tutorial

Hey guys,
Rooting the Infocus m530 is pretty straightforward. All you need is the Kingroot one click root app.
I'm including the link here, use the latest version

Also make sure you have USB debugging enabled, and uncheck verify apps over ADB. The rooting might fail the first time, thats ok. Just try again, and this time if should reboot indicating that its successful. You will find the kingroot user app installed! Enjoy!
WARNING! Try at your own risk!.. THere is no Stock ROM available as of now. So if anything goes wrong you might have to take a trip to the service center.

Firstly download your device USB and ADB drivers. Copy it and intall on PC.(downloads can be found by search on google)
1.Download the program KingoRoot on computer
2.Intall and open kingo root on PC
3.Enable USB debugging on your mobile device(goto Settings-->About phone-->Tap on Developer options 6-7times)
4.when you will see that you are a developer now.Then
5.go back Settings-->Devloper options-->enable it and tick the USB Debugging.connect to PC using USB data cable.
6.Kingo root should detect your device.
7. Click on root(you must have active internet)
Let it do it's work now.

I'm vedant from india,
I rooted tons of cell phones from last 6 or 7 years.
Yesterday 1 week ago i bought panasonic eluga mark and tried to root it.
I tried every single aplication from this link i'm sorry i can't post links i didnt done with that 10+ threads but it got every single rooting app of android.
Then I connected my mobile to pc. And tried iroot but it failed, then root genius, it failed again. And then i tried kingo root. But it didnt even detect my device, tried every single hacks to let my device detect in kingo root & searched every single link of problems in connecting phone to kingo root. Non of it worked,
It's my vacation so i spend 13 hrs a day behind this cell phone just to root it.
Nothing can root it.
But i just ***** want my cell phone rooted.
Please help me and i'll pray to God to give u 200 more years to live.

See I am able to understand your problem . I am currently using Era 4g i was also not able to root it. I tried all of the apps like Kingo Root, Z4 Root etc but try KingRoot latest version and it will fail twice or thrice or so but keep on trying and trying, it'll succeed after some tries. Mine passed on 7th time .... Hit Thanks ?

Do one thing .... there us a thread in xda that explains you rooting .... download the file update super su.zip from there and install it in your device i mean flash it ... it may help..

Open it and click on try to root
Your phone will be rooted in no time assuming a good internet connection you have .??

while in my case , i've root infinix hot note 2 with kingoroot.... its simple app and can root your phone automatically , no PC needed.... just internet needed while rooting..
if it doesn't work.. then try king root , iroot , farmaroot etc...
these apps if cant succeed , will not harm your phone.....

They also have pc versions... like king root , iroot have pc versions also.. so you can try to root with PC.. if can't succeed then head to official/unofficial way to root by searching google...

this stock rom flash using stock recovery, if u already on twrp this rom also can be flashed on twrp (full wipe then flash)
