[Q] no official ROM, but 4.2 source code heaps to AOSP, any impact on CM ROM build?

as question, I don't know much about how CM or other customized ROM is built. Appreciate if anyone can answer my question.
What do you mean?
As soon as they finish cooking cm10
i think they'll start cooking cm11

According to CM G+, 4.2 will be called 10.1 not 11 since it was still JB. And there is a lot of device which didn't get official JB yet but running on CM10.

[Q] PA ROM' for Skyrocket

Good evening I make this post to see if I can use on my Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket Rom PA ("Paranoid Android") the latest version. Many Thanks for your help.
There are no 4.2.2 builds. Only test builds as there is a storage issue that no one has found a solution to yet. Your best bet if you want paranoid, is to check out the pacman ROM.

4.2.3?

Will the AOSP roms have 4.2.3 as the next move?
Do you really have to ask this? Aosp is always up to date. If our galaxy will get it, is completely up to the devs who will most likely give it to us as cm10.2

It's 4.3 if you've been following the news

CM Nightlies

A lot of friends hassle me on not keeping my ROM up to date. For example, I'm currently running a nightly from two weeks ago.
General thoughts on whether or not you guys keep yours up to date, and why?

There have been some very important updates to cm recently such as the synchronization to the Google source that was recently released. I highly recommend you update to the latest nightly.

I've got a buddy from work that I got into ROMing and he's on a rootbox nightly from about 3 months ago(S3). Normally updates about every 2 weeks but just had a kid, so it was a little low on priority. If it's a rock solid build, why not? Also depends on how into ROMing you are, like any other hobby. I normally don't do every nightly either. My luck something gets jacked and I have to full wipe. Not fun to do everyday.

Just checked the change log and see if theres any updates that u need. I'm on rootbox and I usually do but I dirty flash so much easier then full wipe.

All good points. For me I have gotten a little tired of constantly flashing. When on CM a long while back flashed nightly after nightly for no reason. Every now and then had to fresh flash.
So, for me I look at Changelogs and see if there is anything I need. If not and rom is running good, tend to keep it. Guess I am not a flashaholic anymore--:crying:
Have not put a custom rom on S4 yet, just rooted and flashed twrp. At this point have no need for custom. Maybe when they "right" 4.3 etc is out and bootloader unlocked.
For now phone does all I need it to do--
I'd say with CM, once a week is pretty good. Depends on what is merged and whatnot. The 6/30 nightly is stable.

Best Tweaks for Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 on Cyanogenmod 10.2

Hey Guys,
What are everyone's favorite kernels and tweaks for Galaxy s4 running Cyanogenmod 10.2? Just trying to get a consensus. I downloaded KToonSez Kernel but I my phone started working a little off. I couldn't pin point it. I ended up installing the next nightly for 10.2 and KtoonSez was gone, which was a relief.
Anyway, please share if you guys have any advice on best kernels and tweaks, and even if you have any great apps to share.
Cheers!
In actually using CM 10.2-20130915 version with Swipe Pad app running smoothly. My only issue is that the radio signal bars are showing only one bar or no bars at all!!
