Maybe CM10 or CM9 with pandora or jarvis kernel but i tried them a lot of times and cant boot. Battery use will always be high i think, cause its CM10.1 and it is oc-ed.
P.S i think maybe ill try some sense (3.5 maybe) cause it boots very fast, no lags and better battery life.

for example

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2344110 i find this. this will be good?

Help me with rom and kernel i have to use?

help?

hit thanks if it helped
send from my HTC explorer from earth

very funny

Under clocking CM 10.1 will reduce performance. Its android 4.2, need more memory and cpu

@michal16
so u want OC? try OCed kernel, but remember to carefully follow cute_prince pll2 method
and about lag,it depends not only on cpu,but also sd-card u use,(class 4,6,10)...
remember to calibrate your battery after installing new rom

[Q] Which is the BEST KERNEL for STOCK ROMs??

I don't know which kernel should I flash and I really don't know what is the best stable kernel out there ?? I already tested UC Kernel v9 and it seems it's not stable..
You can delete this post if you find this is as un-useful ..
Here and there, there are only a few kernels. Bck kernel/Uc kernel/vurrut kernel. Don't overclock too much, at Max about 1.2 ghz as some phones go into random reboots beyond that frequency. Currently on bck kernel beta 13, but I change kernels quite often
Cheers

I'm currently using vurrut v5 uc. It's a very good battery saver and very stable.
try BCK...dont oc though....its stable and gives good battery life

Thank you very much for anyone who replied to my post..
Jeah, my phone suddenly reboots when I overclock my phone to 1.35Ghz on UC Kernel.. Not sure why ..
Anyways, is BCK stable enough ?? I might switch to BCK.. I heard from some people that I can't use NoFrills or SetCPU to overclock, only on Terminal .. is this true ??

Very very stable. Hasn't randomly rebooted on me ever. I do make sure that cpu no frills keeps it to 1.2 ghz and below though.

Ok thank you kabayan for your time. I might try it soon hehehe
OK well bck kernel default is overclocked to 1.2ghz so you can use 1.2 ghz by setting it through no frills. However if you wish to change the frequency at each opp(meaning steppings), then use the commands given in his thread.

First I think that this shouldent be in this section, but this is not my concern, second to answer your question, Matrix is one of the best kernels for Nexus S (my personal favorite is Marmite but still this is good), so I thinkl it's safe to say that this is not a kernel related issue but rather a owerclock one, be sure that there is a reason why Samsung clocked the procesor at 1GHz

the v25 of matr1x kernel is working on 1.2 normaly ...
is the marmariv or the v24 working with more clock speed ?

marmite is more stable but it is not good for overclocking.
on matr1x v25.0 i couldnt overclock because i had the same problem with you. rebooting.
the only kernel i was able to overclock cpu without any reboot problem is matr1x v24.0 on 1320 mhz
now i am using marmite and i dont even try to overclock because i dont need more cpu power. it drains so much battery...

Hi there mate,i have a class 4 sd card too, you can use jarvis, pandora kernels, but i recommend you aries kernel which has the best performance (for me). Hope i helped you
Thanks but i will not have lags? Pandora have lags on 600MHz. When i use jaggyRom on 600MHz i not have lags. When i use setcpu and i set 900MHz the phone reboot why?. I need more MHz because i record video on YouTube

I havent got any lags with Aries kernel on 828 mhz i think, and yes, your pico reboots cause you have class 4 sd card and the class 4 supports upto 828-868 mhz. I dont know why but class 4 sd cards just dont support 878 and 900 mhz, its freakin' weird but the pll2 method its created that way :/

What does the OC in kernels? What is this?
I will test it when make Gapps to CM 10.1

The oc kernels make your device's cpu overclockable, the aries kernel is a kernel posted in original android development for pico and why would you make gapps for cm10.1 it already has xD
I no making i wait for gapps.
Gapps: I will upload special gapps later.Full package will NOT WORK

Your english is a little confusing but you will get it, here's a link for gapps cm10.1 http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390248398092763478, i've tested it and its working
EDIT: Download cm10.1 latest build that you've posted and flash gapps. You can even use oc kernel if you want great performance.
I come from Polish Thank you very much
I must install kernel after CM or earlier? Gapps last?
what kernel i have to get? OC or no-OC?

Order: cm -> gapps -> kernel, you can use the aries non-oc kernel given in cm10.1 build 5 or you can use aries oc kernel, make your choise and feel free to give me questions.
Thanks
When i use OC kernel i have laags. When i use NO-OC i will not have lags?
When i set 878 the phone reboot and reboot and i have to reinstall rom. Why?

I dont have lags with aries oc - 828 mhz, lulzactive or smartassv2, and it reboots cause class 4 sd cards dont support 878 and 900 mhz.

Can you anserw the question??
Usually with oc kernel you'll have better performance and less lags, with non-oc you will have more lags, try both if not sure or use aries oc kernel with min freq 122 mhz and max 600 mhz = non-oc, min freq 122 mhz and max 822 mhz = oc.
I must use OC if i want 822? NO-OC have max 600MHZ?
____________________________________________________
When i use jaggyrom i set 320MHz and i don't have lags. When i use cM 10.1 and aries i have lags.

Yes, thats right
I dont know, jaggyrom is with android 2.3.5, this is 4.2.2, older = smoother but with the new pll2 oc method by cute_prince it shouldn't have lags.
Do you make the 2 partitions, order SD-DATA(1gb)->SD-CACHE(60-70 mb)?

[Q] Cyanogenmod Rom issues

Hello everyone!,
I have facing alot issues on AOSP based roms(such as CM10.1/2 etc).Alot slow downs, lags,Instability, freezes, glitch etc.Why is it caused ? or it just a Rom problem ?
PS: My previous device Galaxy gio runs CM10/.1 flawlessly.

I need some more information about this. Did you change CPU settings? Have you made a full wipe before flashing? because for me it works great.
Here's some information.
CPU : 1728MHZ with badass governor
Min.CPU : 382mhz
Tweaks : None!
Always Wipe before installation of Roms.

Usually 1728Mhz works, but it could cause instability. Try lowering it to 1566Mhz and see what happens. you can also try another governor.
Did you also change the voltage?

^1. I am not sure but I think read CM 10.1/2 come undervolted (as they're light roms) and 1782 might be unstable (it has worked for me).

Exactly what I said. Let's wait for OP to post his result.
1728mhz frequeny works flawlessly on ViperS 3.1.2/1.6.3 without any instability issues.I think the problem is that that i wipe before installation, therefore i need to install the rom first and then do a wipe,Am i right?

Nope, you should wipe before.
CPU frequency could work on one kernel and not on the other. For example, my siter's former phone, LG Optimus One could overclock to 728Mhz with most kernels. Then came a kernel that could overclock further and be stable at around 800Mhz. Each kernel has a different max frequency, although it's listed, it might not be stable. As Far_Sight said, the kernel might be undervolted, that might mean that overvolting it may allow for the frequency, but I don't suggest it. Performance is great even on 1188Mhz (I put it that way for myself to save battery).

Best performance on HTC PICO

Hi. How get maximum performance on Pico? I mean fastest ROM and OC kernel (safe, with partition sdcard). I want Cm 10.x and @878MHz (this no needed, i only like ant want it but if you have something with better performance, i will get it )
Don't Compare ROMS!
No offense but, You don't ask which rom is better. I've seen many threads closed due to that kind of question. Developers try very hard to develop a stable rom for our pico & all you do is ask about only the best one without even giving others a try..you should try & decide yourself, it's not that difficult..anyways, using pll2 overclock kernel boosts the performance..there's no other way to improve performance that much.
But some roms is faster and some slower. Some kernels (with pll2 overclocking) giving more performance. I'm asking with which rom and which kernel i will get highest performance. I'm not asking which rom is better
Example:
minimilised rom is faster than unofficial cm 10.2 . Aries kernel on 844MHz giving more performance than pandora @878MHz.
You understand me?
