ownMdm is your own Mobile Device Manager, where you and only you, can remotely control your devices or your family devices and It is Free.
You put your own server and use the App to use it.
It has 2 parts:
- Web: The web part is a php web that uses a mySql Database to send and receive commands to your registered devices.
- App: The App is a mobile administrator that works like others, with a simple screen, and a configuration screen, but it makes things transparently.
You can use your Raspberri PI for more things than only Raspbmc or you can use your own LAMP server.
The instrucctions and software for preparing your Server to control your own android devices can be found at: http://ownmdm.pacosal.com
Download a Raspberri PI image from here and start to try quickly!
* Android App is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pacosal.mdm
Now this code is Open Source, go to http://ownmdm.pacosal.com to get the code.

Hi,
this software is only for devices with imei number, for example, mobiles or tablets with 3G.
Could you try with other device?

On the other hand.
Do not share this data publicly because you are showing your device info and key info.

It seems that "elRadix" solved his problem.

Ping: it works
Ring: does not work
Location: it works
Location Alarm: does not work
Message: it works, althouh i prefer a popup without the ownmdm logo, otherwise unwanted people would remove the app
Wipe: dont want to try it yet
Lock: it works

Ring should work, it sounds through media volume.
Location Alarm is when you (for example put 5000 m.) and you go out of this radio or in again.
Regards.

Thanks for feedback
- Lock screen could be a good feature.
- Activate GPS. Developers can not enable GPS only at specific android versions.
- Wifi: When you send a location command, the App enable wifi if is was not enabled and send to the log the networks SIDs ordered by close.
- Stealth mode: I do not want this kind of App, but some feature will be developed.
If someone wants to give more feedback, is welcome.

thanks for nice appk

Enjoy!!!

Working on a new app version with stealth mode.
Soon

Right now, testing on:
- Android 2.3
- Android 4.0
- Android 4.3
It seems to work OK!!!

[APP] Droid2Desk - now with alpha release(s)

So I've been working on a small project in my spare time with my Nexus One (although is should work with any Android 2.0+ device). Basically it allows you to connect to your phone via WiFi and do a few different things like view/send SMS, view notifications, remotely control the camera and/or transfer files to and from the device. It's a work in progress, I just figured I'd post some screenshots here to see what kind of interest is out there.
An example of a few notifications:

}
Showing some extra details about the device we are connected to:
SMS view (show's all the current SMS conversations on the device)
and of course, an individual conversation view that allows you to carry on an SMS conversation
Remote camera control. Currently it does stills, but I'm going to work in some video as well. Not sure how much demand there is to turn an Android phone into a WiFi spy camera
That's it for now. Should I keep developing this beast or what?
edit:
It also runs on any platform that supports Java. Here it is on a CentOS linux box
Edit - alpha release post - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8148550&postcount=170
Ok, first off let me stress this fact:
THIS IS ALPHA SOFTWARE!
This is only being released here to get it running on a few different devices and see if it complete implodes or not. There are lots of bugs and lots of things that aren't close to being finished. I just don't want to put in tonnes of development time only to find out it only works on my Nexus One. If you're an Android/computer noob, this probably isn't for you. Also note, a WiFi connection is required for this to work.
There are two pieces to the application
Android Application (Droid2Desk.apk)
This is to be installed on your device and currently you must manually start it to enable Droid2Desk to work. In the future this will most likely be a self starting service. The first thing to do is install the apk, start Droid2Desk, tap to stop the service, set the name of your device and enter a password, then tap to restart the service. Note that when you install the apk it needs a lot of permissions. These are all required for the functionality provided by the application. Currently, if you want to receive notifications on your desktop you must go into Settings, Accessibility and enable the Droid2Desk accessibility service. This allows ALL notifications on your device to be captured by Droid2Desk. This may or may not change in the future.
Desktop Application (Droid2Desk_xxxxxx.zip)
This zip file contains an executable Java JAR file along with some prerequisite files required to run Droid2Desk. It should run on any OS that supports Java. Extract everything in the zip to a folder, maintaining the folder structure. On most systems you can simply double click Droid2Desk.jar and it will launch. If this doesn't work, navigate to a command prompt/terminal and run the application with "java -jar Droid2Desk.jar". Once the application is started, it should find your android device and you will be able to Connect, enter the password you picked above and hit Connect again. At this point, Droid2Desk will connect to your device and sync some information. The first time you do this it may take a minute.
You are now in the main application. If you get a notification on your device, it should show in the Notifications Tab. The Camera tab should allow you to snap a picture (the Droid2Desk application must be in the foreground on your device for now). The SMS tab should show you all your conversations and allow you to continue them. You can't start a new conversation yet! Finally the files tab, should show you a tree with your sdcard contents and you should be able to navigate the directories. You can't download or upload yet.
I think that's enough to get you running. If anything goes really wrong, screen shots and device specs are a must. I'm going to sit on development for a day or so until I see what kind of feedback I get here. As I said previously, I don't want to get too far ahead until I have some idea if this works for others.

Video is an absolute. I use droid cam (wifi video) to watch the babies remotely, use on a laptop with no camera, tour my house and also caught a little sh*thead throwing rocks at my house with it. Wifi streaming video webcam rocks!
awesome work!, keep working...!
sounds amazing. i'd pay for it.

You can have a full sms conversation on your PC, everything is routed through the phone.
I have a friend who was just about to start development on a way to send MMS/SMS through his phone, I'm sure he's interested.
I don't text much, but overall this program is pretty cool, particularly if as said, if you can stream video or series of snapshots.

Hello everyone!
Yesterday I released my first Android App called Icy Monitor, it helps you monitor your PC using your android device.
Features
Get graphs about your CPU (load, temperature, clock, power), GPU (load, clock, temperature, fan) and system (fans, temperature, voltages).
Customize graph colors to your liking.
Get information about each filesystem and each process running.
Save and monitor multiple computers effortlessly.
Clean, beautiful interface with tablet support.
The app is free, without advertisments and open source!
Downloads
Play Store
Windows Server
Github (for source)
Setup
Download the server application using the link above. Extract all files somewhere and run the application as administrator (otherwise, I am not allowed to read most sensors). An icon should appear at your system tray, right click it and select 'Open Firewall', this will open port 26822 which is used by the app (This only works with Window's Firewall, if you are using something else you must open port 26822 yourself). Now you can connect from the phone app by typing in your computer's IP address followed by ":26822". If you want to access the server through the Internet you will have to setup port forwarding, which is a different procedure for every router so I cannot help you.
If you don't know your IP, open a command line window and write "ipconfig". You should find your IPv4 address there.
More info
For more info, please visit my page or just ask here. Feel free to mail me at any time.
Thanks a lot for trying my app! Any feedback (positive/negative) is extremely appreciated!

Theoritically, the server could run on Linux with Mono but being a former Linux user I know Mono is not the best option. I am brainstorming this, I hope to be able to support Linux soon.
Thanks for the interest however!
Harmless little bump.
I followed all the instructions then tried setting it up on my device. I was a little confused why it refused to use a domain name. Nonetheless I entered my IP address. Now I get the error "Incompatible server version". Am I doing something wrong?

There was no activity in this thread so I forgot to update the server download link. Try this version. Sorry for the trouble.
Also it SHOULD accept domain names, it worked with mine (looks like this: something.dyndns.info). Maybe it's a port forwarding issue?

I am currently focusing on server-side features and bug fixes. Next version will include a better designed interface, disk space notifications and better error handling. Thing is, my phone's screen is currently broken so I am delaying this release until I can test it properly. Hopefully it will be ready next week.

[APP][2.2+] Network Connections for Android

Hi all,
After making the Anti Spy Mobile, I had some questions from users how to track the actual connections from Spyware apps, or comments like "Anti Spy Mobile says my phone is clean, but my device is still tracked". Then I decided to make Network Connections - an app that monitors, captures and logs all connections from an Android device in order to show where the "data goes". And to work for NON-ROOT devices too. Almost an year after, here's the app - Network Connections for Android.
Because I wanted to thank all of you (XDA-devs members) that gave me suggestions for my previous app - Anti Spy Mobile, I've decided to thank you all by giving you a free, unlimited key for the new app. The key will be available in Google Play until 10/10/2013 extended until 19/10/2013, so everyone who likes the app can download it now and use it without limitations!
About the app - a tool that displays and monitors (tracks) all inbound and outbound connection from and to Android device that works on NO ROOT phones (for Android up to 10) too. For Android 10+ you need ROOT (see below)..
KEY FEATURES:
- Monitors all internet connections from and to your Android device
- Displays notification when hidden apps are connecting to remote servers
- Displays detailed IP information for each connection - IP address, reverse resolving (PTR), AS number, Abuse RBL data, administrative information, etc.
- Gets detailed info about each app that connects to remote servers and network connections used by it - permissions granted to each captured package and all IP addresses used by it.
- Real-time sort by most active, latest connections or by package name.
- Log and export the captured data.
Connections Used by The App:
Google IPs - Statistics and Maps
RIPE, ARIN - IP information

App URL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antispycell.connmonitor&utma=xd (I'm posting the APK as attachment, but it's better to use the Google Play link in order to receive further updates).
Special Unlock Key For XDA-Developers: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antispycell.connmonitor.unlockxda&utma=xd
Please let me know how do you like it, and what are your suggestions on it. One thing that is not implemented, but seems to be good is the feature to block non-wanted connections (this will work for ROOT users only, but still will be a plus).
Known issues: Some IP addresses are not handled correctly on x86 Intel devices - negative numbers in the octets. - fixed
v1.0.8 - fixed resolving in current connections tab & some optimizations
v1.1.1 - zero port connections with invalid state not displayed
v.1.5.0beta - made to work for *Rooted devices for Android 10+
UPDATE (06/2020): A beta version (v.1.5.0) that works with Rooted Android 10+ devices is now released. Please test and submit reports here
You need ROOT for Android 10+: The app needs supolicy and it works with Majestik and SuperSU. All comments are appreciated.
All suggestions are welcome! Thank you ! :good:

Playing with it, I found some interesting "unexpected" connections:
For example - the ES File Explorer (one of the best file managers for me) is connecting to IP in Beijing, China on the HTTP port 80 ... ?
There are no ads in their app, probably they are using some kind of tracking, but why in China? Most of the apps are using Flurry, Google Analytics, etc. With a saucy list of permissions granted to the app it's scary ..
So, I was thinking that probably a place on the web that explains the network connections of the apps (at least the popular ones) will be a good source of security for those that want to know. What do you think ?
Nice app, thanks! Working well on N4. No funny connection with ES though. Did you use its downloader maybe?
Thanks! About the ES, the connection was right after the start on cleaned prefs. It can be something from their tutorial though ?
Sent from my Nexus using xda premium
The domain name www.estrongs.com resolves to that same IP 202.108.23.200, so it's something from their web site or something from their service.
However, this IP hosts many other China web-sites, so I'm still not sure what exactly they are using this connection for: http://sameid.net/ip/202.108.23.200/
nice app for monitoring apps
i can use this one :good:

Hi,
Connection grouping is more or less made in the APP Log tab - cumulative per app or by clicking on the Chrome app in APP Details screen, where you see all IPs used by the specific app.
Filter is good - I have to think how to make it from UI side of view, as I don't want to use menu buttons etc. in user navigation.
Thanks for testing and your suggestions !

Hi, Your question is OK, as the app still don't have a doc-related material. The Current connections tab shows in live time all connections made by your device.
The Connections Log tab shows only accumulated data for the captured connections - e.g. you may start and stop the live capture over time.
Unfortunately the D/L U/L rate is not available per IP, as the app is not using netfilter/iptables logs.

IPCast
Hi guys I've recently updated the old WifiQR that now is called IPCast and I've added some great features:
IPCast allows you to send, receive and stream content, without need*cables, in a simple and easy way. IPCast operate through any Wifi network and between any device that has a browser installed. In fact it does not require any client installation.
IPCast previous called WifiQR now include this features:
● Send and receive any file.
● Send your installed apps.
● Display photo in the browser.
● Stream music and video in the browser.
● SoundBeam: To synchronize playback between devices (who said GroupPlay?). (Supported by Chrome Beta, Firefox, Opera).
● Create queues with video and audio file.
How to use it??
Simple: Select one or more files write the ip in the browser and finish .. downloads will begin automatically!
With this app you can now easily transfer trough any device that have a browser!!
Transfer file has never been so easy!
In addition IPCast allows you to send the link to send / receive through:
● NFC: By simply bring the devices together (typically back to back) and then touch the screen.
● QRCode: Using any QR code reader to scan the link or from IPCast built in reader.

Very Thank you to Will Verduzco for posting this app on XDA news page!
Edit: A new update with an help page and settings on the navigation drawer and some bugfix is rollying out
Pictures are better than words:
Looks great! If possible it would be cool to have a computer client, Mac one in my case.
How secure is it accessing information from the browser?
Can a device connected to the same network be a PC and not only a mobile device?
AirDroid was just ok and many features didn't work and now I ended up using ESfileExplorer to transfer files from my S4 to my PC.
Computer client would be very useful

Confused???
OK, I've installed it on Galaxy S3 Resurrection Remix ROM 5.1 but when I select a file, I just get an X at the top, doesn't seem to be any options where to send the file to?
I'm not dumb but it doesn't seem very intuitive? Maybe a quick tutorial would help?

How secure is it accessing information from the browser?
Can a device connected to the same network be a PC and not only a mobile device?
AirDroid was just ok and many features didn't work and now I ended up using ESfileExplorer to transfer files from my S4 to my PC.

1) Actually IPCast use http so it's better to transfer only on private network but in future I'think I will enable https. So will be secure also in public wifi hotspot .
2) Yes your device can be also a pc.(But at the moment client graphics is optimized for phone/tablet)

Yes, you can directly create an hotspot on the host itself.
Direct Download Link
please remember not everyone has access to the playstore, it will be better if you could post a direct download link over here or mirror from the play store.

I don't either, I use Evozi. Works on PC or device.
This is great! I have tried many of this but nothing comes close to this app. Congratulations on a job well done.
1- The app can't access my SD Card. I can see an SD symbol at the top right but touching it goes to device's all directories display,
2-When I select a directory to download to the app is only showing device storage, again no SD Card is displayed so I can direct the D/L there.
3-Being a file explorer the app is not accessing root directory. Can this access be extended beyond that?
I am using Note I717, BeanStalk KK 4.4.2 Rom
Edit:
4-I have a second i717 JB stock rooted, app is loading and showing broadcasting but it's not communicating with my laptop nor my other Note phone. I changed the port to 8081 on both laptop and phone but no work still. I changed back 8080 but same results. Yes the KK phone ipcast is turned off. But I just can't get it to work on my JB phone. Any ideas?
Also the same 3 questions from above are the same for this phone as well.
nice app

What do you mean? )) It connects to your router and executes the command "wake-on-lan" to wake up your PC
This is fantastic, I didn't even know it was possible to wake up your computer from LAN. Downloading it now.

At first: you can read the manual develop.freask.ru to understand full algoritm
Address for access - it is global address, that you can use to access to your router from global network.
1) global IP address (ex. 195.16.60.242)
or
2) global DDNS address (ex. myrouter.noip.com)
If you dont know it - you can see it on your router status page. If you dont have static IP, your should to set DDNS address (register it, and set it into your router settings).
Router Login and Password - it are your login/pass to access into your router webpage (you type it, when you enter to the router web interface).
All steps to set it - you can see in the manual develop.freask.ru
If you still have a questions - i can personally help you via remote connect (you should to give me access to your computer, and then i can see your settings).
Tell me here, if you still need help!
I get the toast sent to magic packet and the computer doesn't turn on.

Hello!
If you sure that you type the address and login/pass correctly, than the problem can be with your computer settings.
Do you sure that your computer is allowed to wake up by magic packet?
You can try to wake up by your router web interface (if this function is in it interface)
To check your address/login/pass you can try to connect to your router by Putty (app for Windows, ex.)
Anyhow, you can sure, that your BIOS settings, LAN-card settings and router settins are correctly and allowed to wake up your PC.
And dont forget, that computer can wake up from S4 mode ("SLEEP" mode, HIBERNATION), not from "POWER OFF".
Please read the manual and try again.
If you can not to set up yourself, i can help you by remote access.
Hello everyone!
I need your help!
Is there anybody, who speak other languages (French, Italian, Korean, Turkey and others) ?
I want to translate my slogan "Take your computer with you"/"Take computer with you"
The "Google Translate" - is bad variant. It translates very very bad.
And if you help me to translate all the description of my app - it will be especially great for me! ))))
As exchange for full translate of description, i can give you free download of paid version of my app in a future (it is in development now)
Nice. Maybe in future you can add tasker support
