Hello everyone!
Yesterday I released my first Android App called Icy Monitor, it helps you monitor your PC using your android device.
Features
Get graphs about your CPU (load, temperature, clock, power), GPU (load, clock, temperature, fan) and system (fans, temperature, voltages).
Customize graph colors to your liking.
Get information about each filesystem and each process running.
Save and monitor multiple computers effortlessly.
Clean, beautiful interface with tablet support.
The app is free, without advertisments and open source!
Downloads
Play Store
Windows Server
Github (for source)
Setup
Download the server application using the link above. Extract all files somewhere and run the application as administrator (otherwise, I am not allowed to read most sensors). An icon should appear at your system tray, right click it and select 'Open Firewall', this will open port 26822 which is used by the app (This only works with Window's Firewall, if you are using something else you must open port 26822 yourself). Now you can connect from the phone app by typing in your computer's IP address followed by ":26822". If you want to access the server through the Internet you will have to setup port forwarding, which is a different procedure for every router so I cannot help you.
If you don't know your IP, open a command line window and write "ipconfig". You should find your IPv4 address there.
More info
For more info, please visit my page or just ask here. Feel free to mail me at any time.
Thanks a lot for trying my app! Any feedback (positive/negative) is extremely appreciated!

Theoritically, the server could run on Linux with Mono but being a former Linux user I know Mono is not the best option. I am brainstorming this, I hope to be able to support Linux soon.
Thanks for the interest however!

Harmless little bump.

I followed all the instructions then tried setting it up on my device. I was a little confused why it refused to use a domain name. Nonetheless I entered my IP address. Now I get the error "Incompatible server version". Am I doing something wrong?

There was no activity in this thread so I forgot to update the server download link. Try this version. Sorry for the trouble.
Also it SHOULD accept domain names, it worked with mine (looks like this: something.dyndns.info). Maybe it's a port forwarding issue?

Everything works now, thanks! Once I installed the new server version I was able to connect via IP and domain. Before the domain said it couldnt connect and the IP said incompatible.
This is a very handy app for on the go.

I am currently focusing on server-side features and bug fixes. Next version will include a better designed interface, disk space notifications and better error handling. Thing is, my phone's screen is currently broken so I am delaying this release until I can test it properly. Hopefully it will be ready next week.

Love it! Installed yesterday, working fine, nice interface... TV on Android!
Sweet, this must have just came out, I was searching for it Wed. night. Have to wait till I get Home to update my HTPC to Beta6 before I can try it out.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Great app
I am less enthusiastic about it, I already sent them a mail. I downloaded the mac version from their website and installed the beta 6 android version on my phone.
Connection is fast but everytime I connect to my mac my wallpaper on my mac disappears. Instead of that, I will get a blue background. Also I have to set the quality settings again everytime I connect. As my mac has a -1900x1200 resolution it looks like sh#t on default start up.

Thank you for sharing!
I looked for it in the beginning of the week, and couldn't find it. Been using it a lot on my iPhone 4, hence why I really wanted/needed it on my Android device too.
Will give it a go over the weekend

Does not connect to a client configured with the IP address as ID, does connect to a client with a session number.
Come on guys, it's Teamviewer... do you like the original app? It's just the same. You can't connect to an IP (it ain't VNC!), you can choose to keep the remote wallpaper or not (as it was correctly said before), you can even choose to stress on Quality or Speed, you have your usual TV login to manage your regsitered PCs... what else? I'm so happy with that, as VNC regularly killed any java program running on the remote pc upon connection. By my need, Android is now fully functional!

Also check out µTV: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432134
µInject simply does 2 tasks:
1. Searches for torrents within the app (no internet browsing involved).
2. Sends them off to your PC/MAC/Toaster/whatever machine running µTorrent.
DO NOT BUY µInject Pro if you're poor... like me. The only difference is µInject Pro has no advertisements.
IMPORTANT USAGE NOTES:
- You can get µTorrent from http://www.utorrent.com
- In order for the app to function, you have to enable "Web UI" in µTorrent on your computer.
- Go to settings (on this app) to enter your µTorrent IP, PORT, Username and Password.
- uInject can only find verified torrents that have been uploaded by the online community.
Please try to use the app legally and check out my other app "µTV" if you want an awesome TV shows grabber!

Thanks, what are the sources for search?
This is amazingly convenient! And like the above post what sources for searching does it use?
Suggestion: Add an option where you can select your search site. e.g. tpb, demonoid etc.

torrentz.eu searches a bucket load of bit-torrent websites.
If I want to add a new website it has to support RSS searching... (properly formatted custom results not just a feed with everything) and I will have to write a new parser for each new website (since they won't all agree on one formatting!)

perhaps I should add one external (internet) and one internal (lan) once I figure out how to implement it reliably. or were you after using many utorrent servers simultaneously?
Heheh.. I was imagining a "server list" with a couple of of local/external servers, but only one that could be active at a time. Basically to enter the settings of another server or two, without "overwriting" the previous settings..

sadly adding an extra search engine is not easy for this app.
The website you use must support proper RSS search not just a feed and then I have to write a new parser for each website since the XML format will definitely differ.
It was tempting to let the user add his/her own URL but that was going to end badly since I haven't came across a website that gives the same formatting as torrentz.eu

I apologize if there are any bugs, I need to buy an Android phone to test this app properly (I'm just using the emulator now).

[APP]DroidSheep : ARP-Spoofing App for Android

DroidSheep is an Android app for Security analysis in wireless networks and capturing facebook, twitter, linkedin and other accounts.
DroidSheep requires ROOT!
Please note:
DroidSheep was developed as a tool for testing the security of your accounts.
This software is neither made for using it in public networks, nor for hijacking any other persons account.
It should only demonstrate the poor security properties network connections without encryption have.
So do not get DroidSheep to harm anybody or use it in order to gain unauthorized access to any account you do not own! Use this software only for analyzing your own security!
Here are videos of what it does:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4ROlCgTr80
www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIWkee7RjbU
www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7NUluxUORs
Here is a video Tutorial on how to use it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N-SBx5EF3g
How does this work?
As already announced DroidsSheep supports almost every website – also “big” webservices like facebook and Yahoo.
How does that work this simple?
There are many users that do not known that air is the transmission medium when using WiFi.
Therefore information is not only transfered to its receiver but also to any other party in the network within the range of the radio waves.

Usually nothing special happens because the WiFi users discard packets that are not destined to themselves.
DroidSheep does not do this. It reads all the packets looking at their contents.
Is a website sending a clear recognition feature within a message’s content, which can identify a user (“SessionID”), then DroidSheep is able to read it although it is not intended to external users.
Moreover DroidSheep can use this token to use it as its own.
The server can’t decide whether the authorized user or DroidSheep has sent the request.

How can I protect myself?
The only satisfying answer is: SSL respectively HTTPS.
Many providers already offer HTTPS, even facebook, however it must often be enabled in the settings first.
When using HTTPS the data are still sent to alle participants in the WiFi-network, too, but because the data has been encrypted it is impossible for DroidSheep to decrypt the contect of a message - remaining only a complete mess of letters, with which an attacker can’t do anything.
The real problem is that not every website provides SSL. What to do when you are in a public network (hotel, airport, etc.), you also want to use this and the site does not offer HTTPS though?
You can use a VPN-connection
For this the computer sets up an encrypted channel to a confidential computer which again transfers the data to the website.
Please note this is NOT my work I am simply sharing this and giving a direct link to the APK (it was removed from droidsheep.de because of German rules).

Im having no luck with this app on my nexus s 4g. Which is a shame. I can post debugging info if somebody could help me out.
The v15 is in the official SVN: https://code.google.com/p/droidshee...idsheep/DroidSheep_public/AndroidManifest.xml
And since there's no official APK, you have to compile it yourself. Thus the different signature.
Attached is v15 compiled by myself.
Does it work on ICS?

not working xperia neo cant search for anything i leave it for about 10min still nothing i also done what youtube tells me to do still nothing im using my home router with password....

It works for me, but there's a mess with sessions. Probably you should consider mapping each session to each Wifi network and not showing old ones with new networks... Just a suggestion
It is working on ICS, perhaps you have IP client isolation on WiFi router...
Not working for me on Galaxy Note ICS... Do you think it's related to my conection? How should I change it?
EDIT i installed the v15 version and know it's perfect!
It shows up under my kapersky as potential virus, any reason for this??

You should read this before clicking this post away, I bet you like this: HERE, because it's for Android now!
Note: for the best user experience, you need a rooted device, there are many tutorials on XDA how to root your device.
Hello,
Today I want to introduce you my new application. I and of friend mine have created this application.
Element53 is a ready-to-use DNS-tunnel for Android. It can be used for different things. If you don't know what a DNS-tunnel can do, you can find it HERE (really, you should do this, I am sure you want this on your phone!) (first 2 chapters). So this application should be perfect if you are going abroad. Beside that it can also be used for penetration testing.
Element53 creates a TCP-tunnel to a SOCKS proxy server. The client side of the tunnel is localhost:3128. For your convenience the server part is provided.
If you have rooted your device (this is no requirement) you can install ProxyDroid and route all internet traffic into the tunnel.
You have to configure ProxyDroid before you can use all the functions of Element53. You should apply the following settings:
Host should be: 127.0.0.1
port should be: 3128
Proxy type: SOCKS5
After that, you have to start Element53 by pressing the 'green button', after that you can start ProxyDroid. Because Element53 creates a DNS tunnel, the connection is not very fast, but it works fine.
Element53 Lite allows you to test until you have reached 10 mb traffic. If you like Element53, you can upgrade to the Pro version.
Youtube demonstration video:
Lite: Market link up here.
Pro: Market link up here
I have tried to test this application as much as I can, but I guess there are still some bugs.
If you encounter a bug a problem, please make a reply on this post, and I will work on it. If you think it works great, please leave a positive review on the market, thanks! If you have any other feature request, please tell me.
Or, if you have any questions, please ask me, and I will reply ASAP .
Update: (5 july 2012)
Full support from SDK7 (Android 2.1) from now!
Update: (4 july 2012)
Today I have updated Element52 to version 1.1. I fixed some bugs and added some buttons for switching between screens, because not everybody knows that you can 'swipe' between them.

Good App
I have been testing this on my school network, and it works fine. When I am going on vacation I will use this application very much I think, thanks!
I have been testing this on a few networks, and for so far, it works fine! I am glad you like it!

Hi,
I am sorry for my late reply!
We have build a custom server for Element53, the server is made in NodeJS.
You can find the source here: Element53 GitHub
Hello everyone.
Tried to roll-out this application in the test environment and has a problem.
Looks lite the tunnel is up normally but when i tried to open any page i see something like that (screenshot)
So the setup is:
1. Server for DNS: Windows XP SP3 ENG CORP, NODE.js (node-v0.10.20-x86.msi, config53.js, element53.js downloaded yesterday).
config53.js:
------------------------------------------
exports.config =
{
domain: 'xxx.yyyyy.zz',
port: 53,
server_ip: '192.168.1.140',
server_port: 3128,
max_client_inactive_ms: 5 * 60 * 1000,
status_interval_ms: 3000
}
------------------------------------------
2. Proxy server: 192.168.1.140 (Kerio Control with no authorization)
3. Client: Android phone Asus Nexus 7 (firmware: Paranoid), Element53 Lite from google play
May be i should use another client from this link ?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hello,
Thanks for using Element53, do you get the same problems with my (default Element53) server? The other link is someone who merged Proxydroid and Element53 together. Your problem looks like something with the characterset.

Okey.
Just tried your server.
I went to settings/apps/element53/clear data.
Then open element53 and pushed the button. Tunnel looks like has established.
But when i opened a browser (firefox and default one) it couldn't fine any page. The error was like "there was a network error".
See screenshot of some logs

Hmm, that's weird. What are you configs for Proxydroid? Restarting the browser could solve the problem too.

I was going to give this a try but i use ubuntu. Is it possible to get it working on Linux?
The app looks pretty nice and I've been looking for a way to use my phone to control my computer but I haven't been able to get any other app working for me. Thanks for sharing your work either way. I'm surprised no one else has tired this out since it's free.

The link isn't chinese. You've probably just got some sort of weird redirection. Try it again. It worked fine for everyone else...

Since i mostly play Racing games i'll definetly need to try this out

Are you connected to the same WiFi network? Did you type in the same IP address as your computer says? Have you tried it via a VPN?

Oh and I forgot to mention:
The app works like a charm. Bit laggy on the PC side, but that's probably just me (Pentium IV 1x2.8GHz)
Oh, and you should get rid of those pop-up ads. They can be a bit annoying. The ones on the mobile side would do you just right

http://www.monect.com/ Its in chinese,
OK! just tell me how to connect your mobile to PC? I installed the app in the mobile, when open it, it has the space to enter the ip address, I entered the ip address of my wifi host (connectify's local ip address). It says connection failed.
I think I need to install the server in my PC like gmote, so I went to mnect.com and its all in chinese..

Yes, the same network and the same IP address. Still nothing... I have the information "Connection failed".
What about wrapped version, Chrome won`t let me download it, malware/phising. ??
