[Q] ROM update

I've got the Windows mobile 6.1 ROM version 5.2.20764 from 2008
There is an update available on the european HTC website. This will update the device to 5.05.478.1
This update is from 2009, but it looks like an older version (05 and 2). Is this a newer update or is it better to keep the old version? There is also an update to 5.10.172.2 but this update is from Vodaphone which is not my provider. Is this update newer and safe to download (so I can still call and stuff)?

Thanks, but does this mean I have the latest ROM? Because I don't know if it's updated since it's bought, because I'm not the first owner.

if you got the string as told to be latest, its ofc the latest you got

Why don't you flashing with an wm 6.5.x rom from XDA forum?There are more choices for your device.Follow the tutorials and...go for it !
Or may you can try android...Do something !

i have 10211.204 , AT&T , Green Blue , 8GB .
i don't see any update from last update .
What 's your version ?

I have the same SW version as you, but according to Windows Phone 8 update page - there is a new update.

I have 10b software and the phone says you are up to date [D838]

Guys, why am I not getting the software updates after 10b ? Whenever I check for updates , It says your OS is up to date . I tried updating via phone and via lg pc suite but no good
My software version is : D83810b-SEA-XX
Has anyone encountered the same problem ?

In Singapore version 10b is the last version,no more update in that time!

The latest version for the D838 (Singapore version) is 10B. There is no 10C or 10D.

Can't tell you because I don't have the phone yet

Right after the REBOOT, I noticed the dpi scaling has been updated, and the fonts are smoother than before, but now the brightness seems to have been lowered.
I used to have it at 25% brightness, and now I am at 50%

You can download directly from the asus website

I see there only the: Version WW-15.1616.1809.48 and not the version you specified WW-15.1616.1809.48-0, you probably mean the version WW-15.1616.1809.48, but there are already since 2018.11.13

CN-15.1618.1810.77 & WW-15.1618.1810.77 firmware are now available for download! :good:

If you don't root the phone, OTA works.

New update: 15.1630.1811.32
At the moment it is OTA only.
ROG LED now can be used for notifications. I don't know of the other fixes.

Just downloaded it and extracted the boot.img, this evening I will flash it and root

My current version is Version WW_ZS600KL_15.1630.1811.32_0 (19/12/2018) this took a few manual scans to automatically download this. While browsing the site today i see a newer update version WW.15.1618.1810.77 (20/12/2018) however the version number is lower than the one i already have . I guess im currently up to date based on version but based on date am i out? also does anyone know how long it takes for the phone to receive the updates without manually scanning?

but I think they made a mess, as the description are the same as the CN version loaded on November

I think they messed up. 1811.32 is the latest version. Unless there was something wrong with it and they did a rollback.

With the last version 32 I have some issues, for example the WiFi

same here, first it was so strange to go and have a browse through all the settings, to find nothing!
so far, i did browse the internet and no solution could be find..
more so - there is no regard whatsoever mentioned on the oppos official website,
and the tutorial was found by me (to change the theme) regarded previous software version,
even on the same oppos website - the software version to download is..

hence in my opinion, same phone model but diff regional rom.
I was on CPH2025PU_11_A.21 then flash CPH2025EU_11_A.18 then flash back CPH2025PU_A.17
Then got OTA to A.21 and today got OTA to A.23.
Im from Malaysia using Malaysia Set Find X2 Pro

How did you flash or downgrade the firmware ? In unable to do that says failed "you can't flash a lower version firmware" in recovery .
