I got a new phone today the ZTE Nubia Z5s Mini I noticed there is an update available but have some questions maybe someone could help, I bought the phone from China so no support available to me.
The update boots into a Chinese menu and I'm not sure as to which menu to select to upgrade the software, its currently Android 4.2.2 Custom ZTE Rom.
Since I bought the phone from China does anyone know if I will loose the English language if I update or any of the English functions?

Both of them are supported.
If you currently with custom recovery want to back to stock firmware, or can't boot into system correctly, Computer is required to restore your phone, the only requirement is the phone can boot into bootloader (Power off, hold Volume Down + Power button).
OR
If you currently with official system with official recovery, but facing some issue like theme or icon incorrect, you can simply using OTA method to fully refurbish your phone.

OK, If your phone currently with official EVA-L09C636BXXX firmware, you can directly select EVA-L09C636B168 in my tool, and set the proxy in your phone. But you need select download full package in [Settings -> Updater -> Menu -> Download latest full package], because this tool only support push full package. In OTA mode, It would not clear your data to do this upgrade. BUT a backup is still recommended.
Glad to know that "it would not clear my data" ,lol ..thanks for your help! ..ill adjust the settings too.
For VIE-L29C636 u only have B130 but B170 is the latest firmware?

This looks awesome, might use it to update my phone seeing as Huawei are not interested in updating it!!!
I have used this tool to update. Current version on the phone states L09c432b170. But no sign of Nougat as far as I can see. I was expecting split view, a new launcher and a new status view. But neither of these seem to have changed from b166. What am i missing here...? Any ideas?

that would be because this is not an update to android 7. update B170 is no difference in anyway at all to B166 - it's a pointless update as the changelogs of both these two updates are the exact same as each other. if you wanted Nougat then you have to install the beta version for your phone or go to candy/rock shop.

As far as I know, If that is a operator customized edition, I'm not recommended for cross region flashing (like flashing European version in Australia).
Based on the information from official website, supported bands for each region are same. However, the differences are some advanced functions, like VoLTE and Carrier aggregation.
I've checked the relationship of B (Build) version across different C (Customized) version, seems that is not strictly related to each other.
That means, the basic system version of B138 in Australia and B161 in Europe might be the same.
Thus, I suggest you flash to a nearest C version for fast update with better compatibility.
As far as I know, the C432 is the general version for Europe. The C636 is for Asia Pacific.
Cheers

I would stay away from update to Nougat with L19, almoust all with L19 had problems when updated and try to downgrade to MM after upgrade. Nougat is still a beta version with lots of bugs.

Hi there,
I couldn't find Huawei Y330-U11’s official rom (firmware) in Huawei's official website. But I found it here: huawei-firmware[dot]com
My device build number: Y330-U11 V100R001C00B112
Custom version: CUSTC433D001
My Questions:
1- Is this site trustworthy? if not, please introduce me some reliable sites for downloading Huawei's official roms.
2- In that website, I found two official roms with this build number and version. One for Kenya and the other for Myanmar (but with different Sizes: 1.26GB, 1.31GB). What is the difference between these two official roms? Just language or other differences?
2-My country is none of the mentioned countries (It's in Middle East). Is it safe to download and install one of the above official roms? If yes, which one? If no, please introduce me other reliable sites)
Thanks in Advance
Nobody can help me?
I don't think that website is an official site of Huawei as you can't find any logo of Huawei in those web pages.
As far as I know, from EMUI 4.0 on, Huawei will not release complete update packages on its official website to provide greater security to users.
So, if you require updates or system recovery, it is recommended that you use the following:
1. Perform an online update.
2. Use HiSuite (version 4.0.3.300 or later) for system recovery. Check on the system recovery screen for a list of the models supported.
Btw, HiSuite is an utility software developed by Huawei. You can download it from the Huawei official website.
Hello guys, is this link legit? They claim that you are able to actually upgrade P20 Pro to the latest update. Link here
I can confirm that the Huawei Smartphone multi download tool is legit, but I haven't tried the firmware update just yet as I am on EU CLT-L29 model and I don't know if the update it is intended for other parts of the world. Also, I don't know if it is the stable version or the beta one. Anyone gave it a try?
I trie to update whith this firmwaare but there is no XML file
After checking the firmware files, these are the images available for the Chinese model of P20 Pro (CLT-LGRP1-CHN). I haven't still tried it, still checking to find if the FW files are legit.

Be good to know if they are.
Bare in mind the beta locked down the bootloader so tread carefully.
Anyone got it to work? Im tempted to try it
Found an Android 11 download link on the ZTE software site...
Apparently it's unstable and may delete all your data upon updating according to the German Z-Community website.
I would have installed the update, but don't know if it will work since I am on the A2020U (North American) firmware and the A11 update is on A2020G (global). Wouldn't want to risk it.
