Has anybody managed to dual boot android with Ubuntu touch on there tab 2 ?
I tried this using blackhawk kernel but had no luck. I would like to be able to test Ubuntu previews without deleting my android os every time
Also I would like it to install to the internal sd not an external one as this ruins performance.
Thanks for any feed back.

So I bought this nook for my partner and now it won't boot. I like to think I'm comfortable with all android and every aspect of it but I'm likely not. the nookcolor-emmc-repair-partitions threads (both) don't work. So apparently he's erased partition 3. Thats about everything I know. Can anyone direct me anywhere or give me the most basic detailed instructions on how to do adb?
right now I can access twrp 2.1.8 from a bootable sd card and it'll run any rom thats put on the sd card we just want it to operate the way its supposed to
I am stuck at work and can't install any formatting tools on my work pc (gee go figure they would block those, haha). However I want to set up the ext4 and swap partition on the new SD card I just installed. Any suggestions for a free partitioning tool I can use on my P500h itself without needing a pc? Pros/cons etc... I don't want to start filling it with apps until I get the SD card sorted and I ran out of time this morning before leaving because of a stupid boot loop issue after flashing.
Running the new CM11 Kit Kat Rom, fully rooted unlocked...blah blah blah and if I have to wait another 8 hours to play with it again it's going to suck so if anyone has any suggestions - hit me with them. Looking for stable, won't kill the card, easy to configure, no pc required solutions.

You should be able to boot in to your recovery and format the SDCARD from there. At least you could with older CWM versions, pre KitKat. Not sure about the newer ones.
I installed AParted on my phone and it worked like a charm. Was able to set up all 3 partitions using one screen, a slider button for setting sizes and a drop down for the type. It was amazingly easy with great instructions. I have been happily redownloading all my apps and setting things back up. Next step is to read up on best ways to save battery whether I use an app or play with voltage settings or maybe both....gah - so much to learn!!!
Hello Gents
I am running a SlimLP Slim-5.1..1.alpha.0.4-UNOFFICIAL-20150623-2216 on a Xperia Z (Yugo)
First of all a big thumb up for all the devs that worked on this room.. All i can say is "Spot on lads".. Helluva good job.
I do have few questions though..
I have noticed that Under the "Storage" menu the option "Transfer Data to SD Card" is missing unlike in Sony Xperia Z stock room?
Secondly the 5GHz option was set way to low (channel 11 only ) No biggie, I adjusted that myself in /etc/firmware/wlan/prima/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini manually and I increased the channel number so my router running on 5GHz is now recognized .
I have also noticed that when you play songs using the default media player (or any other for that matters) when you move the phone or twist it / turn it upside down the volume kind of fades away drastically.. (as if it was influenced by the sensors) i can live with that too..
The real problem (as i found out today) is that the external SD card can not be mounted in OS X ( I dual boot OS X with Debian and i spend most of my days on Debian)
However, today i wanted to run a testdisk on the external card and i connected the phone via the cable as i did so many times just to find out that the testdisk can not see the external card on Debian.
Just out of curiosity I rebooted and have tried the same thing in OS X.
It was then when i realized that unlike Linux, the OS X can't even see the external SD card (previously with the stock room was possible)
I have searched for the last two weeks the whole xda-developers forum (literarily ) and i could not find any fix to it..
Searched the internet as well ..No joy..
Apparently either nobody uses the Xperia Z with OS X or nobody has ever tried to run a testdisk on the external sd card on a phone running cyanogenmod (The last week i tried most of the official and unofficial Cyanogenmod rooms for Yuga including the Infected builds) everybody's builds suffer from the same bug...
Is there anything we can do about it..?
Is there anything i can do about it? ( before asking , yes , i am rooted , and all the proper settings in ADB and MTP are set so no probs from this part)
I am familiar with the terminal (not an expert but i know more then the basics ) so not afraid of it..
I should not need too much handholding if there's any settings / config files to be modded..
When i am trying to connect to the phone via ADB shell the ext_card partition can be seen and accessed although it's a pain to deal with the adb because of the permissions ...
However ,In order to be able to run a photorec / testdisk session i need the ext_card partition to be mounted / visible by both the Debian and OS X ..
Sorry for the long post gents
Please let me know your thoughts..
Kind Regards
Gorilla No Baka
