So im a little pissed.
Today i got on my phone and went looking for a few videos i had on the sd card. Well they arent there. Had about 7-8 .3gp files. Well when i got up this morning only had 3. So i was like maybe someone deleted them or the phone just didnt read them right.
Rebooted and guess what only had 1 video file. So where the hell did my other 2 go?
Reboot again and still only 1. So said maybe its android media scan no working right. Plugged it to the pc and sure enough there all gone but just that 1.
So tried to use a recovery program on windows but that didnt work they stayed corrupted unable to play.
So what the hell happen? and how can i stop it. and is there a file recovery for andriod or must i try on a linux system.
If this is the wrong location and its been asked before, i am sorry i was hoping to get a clearer guide to how to do this and maybe get tips were i am going wrong.
I fresh install windows 6.5
i do all the stuff to get android 4.0.3 onto my device and it runs very smooth. however i only have 150 mb of space and after a few downloads. it runs out and moving to SD card isnt enough for me. i found a guide and i will try and remember it the best i can
i partition my SD CARD to that i have 2024 mb.. i downloaded the zip i found off this site (one with the sound bug) i went into bootloader and applied the zip. and fixed the permissions. 2 things happen. it either loads and the sounds really low. so i enter bootloader again and fix permissions again. and once i do that. it goes into the boot effect of ICS. and wont go past that. or when the first time i flash the zip. and fix the permissions ( the very first time) it doesnt get past the boot either.
i have no idea what im doing wrong. and would love the help
just to confirm i am using a HTC HD2 booted off the SD card. found from joyce (spell check?) blog and apart from the low space. android loads and runs fine. i i have missed android
please install link2sd (from google play) but you must root your phone first.
Hey guys, I rooted my phone from one the guides on this site.
HTC Wildfire
2.3.7
13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25
Kernel 2.6.35.14-nFinity [email protected] #1
CM7.1.0.1-buzz
Since rooting it I've had the niggly problem of everytime I boot up my phone I get force closes for my launcher and sometimes a complete phone freeze causing me to remove my battery to undo it. At first I thought it was just ADW Launcher so I installed Zeam which seemed to stop the force closing (most of the time). The problem came back after a few months I noticed becoming more and more commonplace.
I notice on my bootloader the second .img cannot be found and I'm not sure what part that plays in this matter.
So I started a trial and error to see if I could locate the cause of the crashing. I found that when I removed my SD card my phone booted perfectly with no troubles so I formatted it thinking it must be a bad checksum only to have the problem return.
My SD card is a sandisk 2gig bog standard with the phone. I didn't partition an EXT onto it and I formatted it with the FAT system from my Windows XP sp3.
Please help, I love this phone too much lol
Also I can't get the TV off animation to work, if anyne has a zip file that works I would greatly appreciate it
Hello,
I'm a n00b here, don't hate. So basically, I want to make a bootable SD card for my Nook Hd Plus.
I followed the steps on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36421852#post36421852 (but instead I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389813 and the latest zip from that site so I could get Android 4.3)
So I burned cwm 7.1 on the sd, booted the Nook up, installed the latest zip file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389813 (This zip I put on the Nook Internal storage, like the steps said)
I click Reboot system, and it goes straight back into cwm.
I fully turned off the device, took card out, THEN booted it up again, but this time it showed the first black Nook screen for about 2 seconds, then showed the cwm boot up screen, the the cynagenmod boot up sequence pops up (THIS WASD WITH THE CARD OUT!)
From cwm, I can see that the internal storage was NOT formatted (thankfully), but no matter what, i can't seem to get it to boot up from ANYTHING (stock rom or sd).
Plugging it into my Windows PC, nothing showes up (but it does recognize it, just no way to view the files inside the internal storage)
PLEASE HELP ME OUT ASAP, I really hope I did not brick my device
I have two identical xooms. The model number lists as "Xoom". Android version is 4 .1.2 , build JZ054K, kernal version 2.6.39.4-g4e32b94 . I've been trying for days to update at least one of them. I'm using a Linux Mint 17 desktop. No Windows available.
I've tried everything I found on these forums, and nothing has worked. I have 32gb external sd cards in both of them. My first trak was to do it from the SD card but I found that recovery cannot see my SD card. I also tried putting " BigPart" in a directory called downloads, but that didn't help. I also tried loading it onto the internal card. Can't see it either way.
I downloaded the Linux android files and plugged in the USB cable. I could talk to the Xoom, and tell it to reboot the bootlooder into fastboot or recovery, and the Xoom would reboot but lock up at the "loading fastboot" screen. I tried sideloading the BigPart file, but the install would fail on validation. If I try to enter fastboot by rebooting it locks on the loading screen. If I load recovery on boot it appears to come up but It can't see the SD cards or accept the files from the computer (From adb).
One of these Xoom's I gedfied and the other was a google device when I bought it. Both got all of their last bunch of updates thru Google, until Google dropped them. Could the google updates have left something needed out??
As I understand the process getting Big part on the device is the first step. I have all needed files for the upgrade,on my SD cards and on my Linux machine. I just can't use them. Anyone have any ideas? Does anyone know where and what the OS is looking for during that attempted USB update??
Ok turning of Developer options

Ok after 70 views and no responses, I'm giving up for now. Turn off deleloper options, and letting Google have their way with my Xoom android 4.1.2 . "I think" part of the problem is my Xooms will NOT boot into Fastboot. For what ever reason I do not know. The bootloader is still locked because I can't get to it to unlock it (using my Linux box) I know they can be unlocked because I did it a few years ago with my XP box (long gone). Is JellyBean the end for my Xooms?
