Micromax A52 ROOTED!!!!

So, this is it! MICROMAX A52 has been rooted!! :laugh:
(I dont own this device, i rooted it for my friends at Indiedevers, dont ask me device specific questions!)
Things you would be needing:
1. SP flash tool -> ver 2.1 (see attatched files!)
2. Download and extract my attatched a52 rooted.rar file.
3. Unlockroot (get it from www.unlockroot.com).
4. MTK drivers (see mtk attatchment on this xda post)
5. ADB drivers (No need to worry about, unlockroot will automatically setup the adb driver while rooting)
Ok so let's move on to the steps:
1. This rar file contains my modified boot.img & the A52 scatter file (needed by SP Tools, tells the SP tools which rom addresses to flash).
2. Install the MTK drivers, just run the InstallDriver.exe program inside the MTK folder).
3. Most of you might be experienced with flashing through SP Tools, for those who are using it for the first time read this excellent guide on how to use it -> MTK Flashing Using SP Tools
4. After flashing, reboot your handset by taking out and reinserting the battery.
5. When the phone boots up go to Settings->Applications->Development and tick mark "Enable Debugging".
6. Now attach your phone using the data cable.
7. Open Unlockroot program through windows start menu.
8. Click the big green root button.
9. It will ask for installing drivers, click "yes"...it's now installing the ADB drivers.
10. Finally it will root your phone and will ask you for rebooting the phone, click yes.
11. Let your A52 reboot.
Finally after booting, check the app drawer for an application "Superuser"...Congratulations!! your A52 is successfully rooted!!!...:highfive:

Yes My A52 working. But it is all now Fly Like view. All boot logos are of fly. Yes it is rooted but I want the original rooted stock ROM of MMX A52. If you can help it will be great.

Pls post full rom some people unable to switch 3g to 2g or 2g to 3g

I think ics not supported bcoz mmx a52 screen resolution is very lowlow

Finally I too got it rooted, used only bootimg option for spflash tool. and refer to op attached img file. it works...!!!!!
method works.. I recd brom error after flashing but on using unlockroot it worked
so ignore the error if u like to risk.

Select The bootimg option, then click on The option and select The path of my modified boot.img file, then connect your phone and flash it!!!
& Yeah if you want you can again un root your device by just pressing The un root button on The unlockroot programme you rooted with!! No need of flasing The original boot.img!

i removed using titanium backup (i knew which one i've to remove)
can post here list to if you want to.
looking what speedy droid script is.

Check Xperia P section for speedy droid script. I was using sony mobiles earlier...
I used ROM toolbox lite from Jrumm y... Kinda worked however lost will be helpful...

I am trying to follow ur guide i am able to get to the step where we have to connect the phone and switch off but my phone is not recognised and the tool stays searching for phone. anything i am doing wrong here

You need to have the VIA COM USB drivers installed for the computer to recognise the preloader...
I guess he forgot to add that step...

i didn't installed any peloader drivers (window installed it from internet by itself).
you can google drivers easily.

AFTER INSTALLING TWRP RECOVERY FROM THE BELOW STEPS OR IF INSTALLED CWM FROM MY EARLIER POST THEN FIRST TAKE AN BACKUP SO THAT YOU CAN RESTORE IF ANY ERROR HAPPENS BECAUSE I DONT HAVE THE ORIGINAL COPY OF THE OS..
AND IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED CWM FROM MY ROOTING METHOD THEN SKIP ALL THE BELOW STEPS AND DIRECTLY DOWNLOAD THE ROM AND INSTALL IT BY PLACING IT IN SD CARD AND FLASHING IT

Place the scatter file and TWRP recovery in the SAME FOLDER.
rename twrp recovery to recovery.img
1. While the phone is still on, enable USB debugging (Settings > Developer options) then plug into PC. Allow drivers to install. Install the MTK drivers as well.
2. Mount phone as USB storage. Copy SuperSU zip to internal or external SD card. Unmount USB storage, then unplug phone from PC.
2. Turn off phone. Remove the battery.
3. Start SP Flash Tool. Under "Scatter-loading," choose the MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt. You will see that RECOVERY has a check beside it. Click on "Download." A warning will appear, proceed anyway.
4. With your phone still off and the battery out, plug it in to the PC. Flashing should start. It will only take a few seconds. You'll see a green circle when it's done.
5. Unplug USB cable and put the battery back.
6. Enter recovery mode by Power and Volume + button. Release both buttons when you see the boot menu. Use Volume + to highlight "recovery." Then use Volume - to confirm.
7. Click "Install." Choose the appropriate tab (internal or external SD card).
8. Select UPDATE-SuperSU-1.25 zip. Swipe to confirm the update. It will flash. Go back to main menu of TWRP.
9. Click "Reboot system." Wait until you are fully booted into your homesceen.
10. Once booted, you should see SuperSU in your app drawer.

Yes. Basically got it rooted. Then I had issues with flashing recovery and in a hurry I think I screwed it up by installing a wrong recovery using mobile uncle. Now neither can I hard reset my phone not can I go to recovery. If I try doing hard reset, it does all the process but once the phone switches on, it comes back to the situation where in I started with resetting. I know it was stupid of me to screw up the recovery, but please help dude.

HOW TO ROOT GUIDE
Here follow the steps.
1.Download the attachment containing the rooting tool and drivers
2. make sure usb debugging is enabled setting >developer option > usb debugging enable it
3.After driver is installed,check whether you have ADB composite device showing up in PC's device manager.
4.After making sure everything is alright, open the .bat file contained in the zip folder, follow the instructions .

HOW TO FLASH CMW RECOVERY
for installing cmw two ways
1- download and install mobile uncle tool from play store
place recovery file in root of your sd card internal or external that doesn't matter
open mobile uncle tool and select option for update recovery > reboot .

its on harder side and and if phone is flat laying on flat bed or cloth it doesn't respond nicely .
otg function is not working .
screen drains battery a lot more than 57% battery is eaten by display
.
in recovery mode touch buttons of no use vol + is enter button and vol - is for scrolling .
i was able to install application on/to sd card as i am rooted but when i integrate updated application in system then system/app/ folder keeps both files updated and old one so i have to manually delete those old files

To enter recovery....
Press Vol+ & Power Buttons...
Keep them pressed till you enter recovery screen...
like mentioned above Vol+ key is enter key while in recovery mode.

Never mind problem solved....
Windows 7 installs drivers automatically
No need to install them seperately.
Just keep in mind though...run the contents of root Xolo q2000 from root of any drive (i.e not from any folder)
This should do the trick...

hard reset done many times otg is not working in my case
yes i got scratch guard with phone but not put on phone immediately when i given phone box for billing that person removed it from box
i came to know when i opened box at home but person who sold me in shop is good friend of mine he said he will give me another one .
for installing cmw two ways
1- download and install mobile uncle tool from play store
place recovery file in root of your sd card internal or external that doesn't matter
open mobile uncle tool and select option for update recovery > reboot .
2. flash only recovery image by sp flash tool
use this scatter file http://ge.tt/374Dzm01 and recovery file ctr.7z http://ge.tt/6OY1CJ01/v/01?c

what is the boot patched file in the given list? I mean,what does it do?

don't know its created by mtk droid tool while taking phone backup of stock rom

Rooting Method
Read everything or risk a brick. Standard disclaimer. Your warranty is now void. Use at your own risk. In other words, it is your choice to use this method; I am not responsible for any damage or problems. Always take backup of everything e.g. Nvram folder using various tools like recovery, titanium backup, root browser etc. Don’t do it if you don’t know what is rooting and custom rom / firmware.
Hey Friends…
1. Stock Rom V1: http://www.needrom.com/mobile/micromax-a300/ Need to Register on NeedRom (Thanks to them)

4. SP Tool:http://www.mediafire.com/download/8bauf98i2dri2jj/SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1312.0.139.zip
5. Steps for flashing stock ROM via SP Tool:
a) You need to download Rom and SP Tool from above link.
b) Download AND Install MTK Drivers.
c) Reboot your PC.
d) Unrar downloaded ROM in RAR File Format and unzip SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1312.0.139.zip using any Unrar tool like peazip, 7zip, winrar.
e) You will have two folder M-A300-LWDEB16.2.10.1.0T22A0512_M552 and SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1312.0.139.
f) Switch off Your Phone. Make sure you have sufficient battery charged or use laptop to do this. (Do NOT connect phone to PC)
g) Open Flash_tool.exe from folder SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1312.0.139.
h) Click Scatter-Loading button, choose MT6589_Android_scatter.txt file from folder M-A300-LWDEB16.2.10.1.0T22A0512_M552.
i) Wait file to be added into Flash Tool.
j) Choose Option->USB Model, click USB Model.
k) Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed.
l) Click Firmware download.
m) Now connect phone.
n) Software start downloading.
o) After few minutes you will see big green circle.
p) Done. Boot your phone.

7. Flashing Method of CWM via SP tool.
Steps:
a) You need to download Rom and SP Tool from above link.
b) Download AND Install MTK Drivers.

Try latest version of sp tool. And try the whole process again.

Yes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling too. The only error is the initializing error.
Is it possible to flash using another flash tool?
Or any way to root? Once rooted I can install recovery.

Download MTK Droid tools. Install. Then open it and connect your phone and then click on blocks map. Then click on create scatter file.. Then save it somewhere and use that scatter file for flashing. If it doesnt work then try baiduroot for rooting the phone.

I also face the same problem, try with Flash Tool version 5 and disable the Anti Virus if any intstalled, it will work.
