Yes, 2.7.0 is the one I use. The official 2.6.1.0 should work fine too. Just haven't used it. Added link to the OP
A new fix for my flashaholic tendencies.
Downloading now and will report back. :highfive:

I actually haven't tried to restore anything yet. Was that from an old backup or one created in 2.7.0? I'll look into it and if I come across any issues I will revert back to 2.6.1.0. Thanks.
Edit: Just created a backup. Rebooted. Performed a full wipe. Restored the backup with no issues. This was to and from my sdcard.

While on topic, are you guys able to mount USB storage in recovery? It's broken in v2.7.0 for me it seems.
After I installed this and grabbed a file explorer it kept saying that my SD card wasn't mounted. I rewiped and reflashed with the same outcome
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
Ok, results of my testing. Out of the box, extremely quick and snappy, extremely responsive, extremely stable (couldn't really break it or get it to crash). While CM10.2 and Carbon have handled my apps and games pretty well, this rom has that missing "umph" that makes them shine and enjoyable again (had kernel set to ondemand/row). Battery usage was slightly better than what I was expecting for the test period when compared to other roms that I have ran on a trial run (about 6% usage for the 90 minutes I was testing).
That being said, I ran into one issue that I could not resolve no matter what I tried to do to remedy the problem. The internal storage would not mount/could not be found (does show up in TWRP 2.6.1 and 2.7.0, just not in this rom). This unfortunately is a deal breaker atm for me because some of my apps that I use heavily require the internal storage.
Other than that, I dare say this may be the fastest of the feature loaded roms I've ever touched without running a custom kernel. I'd love to test this again with a fix when I have "play" time again and even make it my DD, because I honestly must say that I'm in LOVE with this rom. :good::good: :victory:

You are both correct. I cannot see my sdcard either. Thanks for the feedback and will look into a fix.
Could the internal storage issue be tied to the problems with CM10.2 post 9/4? Just a thought...

For me, I had made a backup with 2.6.1.0 and when I tried to restore using 2.7 it failed. I'm gonna try re-backing with 2.7 and see if it restores.
On another note, flashed this and all seems to be good. Thanks for another great ROM Toyes

Nope, same dev I was the one who ported slim ics...this won't get taken down cause I did it from source this time
Anyways, let me know any bugs you run into...I just did a quick test...WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS (slow..doesn't have Scott's fix for fast gps yet), and the main stuff were working...went out for dinner, then school shopping then worked out so I haven't gotten to thouroghly test it yet for bugs...just made sure the main things worked
(I do think I got a force close for talk on first boot up...gotta look into that, any one else get that?)

Yeah, does not yet have the agps/GPS.conf fix yet...will have that in the next update, as well as add in ota support, and possibly slim it down...I think he current build has items other device zips don't because they are included in the common zip - I want it to be as slim as other versions...which total to about 80-90 after adding device zip to common zip...so basically I wanna try and clear 15-30mb...probably 15 cause we have a 15mb modem included that others do not have
Got a whole weekend to work on this and another project that should be released by Sunday...
Also, due to school updates will almost always be done on the weekends...unless I have little homework this year...too early to tell

This is pure unadulterated official stock bloated and blurred ICS goodness. If Moto and AT&T had an Ice Cream Sandwich flavored stepchild named Edison that they would like to forget about, this would probably be it...
This is mainly for those on ICS Leak#1 to enjoy the full robustness of the stock final ICS ota, without having to compromise your ability to downgrade to GB. But, anyone with an A2 on any ICS can install this if you just want to restore or experience all of the stock bloatware that att and moto are so generous with.
---INSTALLING THIS ROM WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR BOOTLOADER OR ABILITY TO FXZ BACK TO GB---

Features:
-Stock Odexed Blur_Version.67.21.125.MB865.ATT.en.US
-ALL preinstalled "Moto, At&t, and friends" bloat apps included (yay! )
-ALL data and system apps updated to latest versions (well, as of Oct 12th anyway)
-Rooted with updated Superuser and binary
-Busybox v1.20.2 installed
Download/Install:
-You must currently be on ICS to install this
-Download StockyEd404_ATT_v1.1_signed.zip
-Mirrored: HERE
md5: 447EB15917616FAC392D3241426C4DDE
Size: 326,289 KB
-Put the zip on your sdcard
-Boot into custom recovery (only tested with A2 Bootstrap from ICS, and CM10's custom recovery from CM10)
-Wipe Data/Factory reset (the updater-script will wipe dalvik-cache during install)
-Install zip from sdcard
-Reboot
Notes:
-The updater-script will wipe dalvik-cache and the /preinstall/recovery folder (to clear out bootstrap remnants)
-The first boot will take a few minutes, so you can think and rethink possible while you are waiting patiently
-No system files have been edited, and all apk/jar system signatures are originals
-There is no bootstrap/safestrap/bootmenu or custom recovery included in this rom
-This might just be clean and stocky enough to allow the install of any future at&t ota updates

It depends on what you are on before flashing this ROM... if you were on Leak#1, then, yes. If you were on the official ota/soak test/leak#2, then, no.
This basically only changes your system partition - it does not change the bootloader. So, installing any of the ROMs in the dev section will not affect your ability to fxz in any way.

Just downloaded from second link. Md5 matches with first one.
I am on leak on rooted with boot menu manager let me apply and update back..
Edit: installed successfully. One question though, I haven't performed the data wipe before installing the zip, but ROM seems cleared up all installed apps including Burnaby. Now all I see is pretty much stock. (or may be not, as I see all of those apps listed under manage apps as com.(xyz) but those aren't showing up in app drawer and shortcuts also says as not installed )
Question is, do I have to do the factory reset to avoid oddity? Also is it safe to do factory reset in settings now as there is no custom recovery. Or it won't be big issue if I restore every thing using TB?
Thank you.

Yea, not wiping may have caused the oddites.. but if you do a factory reset, you will loose all of the apps in the /data/app folder (I think they can all be found on the play store anyway) - but it shouldn't hurt anything...
I would suggest to just reinstall with BootMenu again, but wipe data first.. You will loose a lot of apps and data, but you can make backups of all your apps with something like Titanium Backup, and just restore the ones you want. You will also loose BootMenu Manager..
Updated to v1.1 - had to add that missing bloatware app..
I only added AT&T FamilyMap and updated Busybox - no need to re-install if on the first release (not sure why you would want that app anyway.. it's more for my own meticulousness).
But, if you really want to you can do that stuff yourself on the Play Store here and here.

I'm using them on my leak2.however they are for deodexed only.if you wanna work on something just reodex them and flash would be a lot easier i guess.

ha, wish you would have posted this 12 hours ago....for me 1% battery mods worked fine on leak 1, and with out much thinking I applied same in this and happened to stuck up in AT&T screen. Luckily had a nandroid backup before I applied battery mod which saved me in end. Later realized from other thread as odex mods for leak 2 may need some work..
Sent from my MB865 using Tapatalk 2
Right.. I need to update that battery mod OP.. but, I'm pretty sure it already says "For Leak#1 only" - need to make it more clear that it's for leak#1 system apks and those specific signatures.
If anyone wants to odex the ones for final ics, that'd be great.. otherwise, I'll get around to it.
I think mod OP is correct and clear and I was also aware as it was for leak 1. It's just my ignorance that applied it on leak 2. It would be nice if you have something for this(just a request, I understand there is a tutorial also there to mess around)

Hello,
A few months ago I rooted my SGA. It was all fine and everything worked great, but it tends to freeze sometimes (I'm not the only one having that problem) and it gets fairly hot too. My build.prop is edited a little and my framework is also patched.
I could reset everything to default by using the apk backups and undoing the changes in my build.prop file, but I'd rather start from scratch and reflash the stock rom.
How can I take a backup image of this state of my phone and reset it back to default?
Also, I only rooted my phone, so the bootloader is still locked.
These are my builds etc:

Well, install a kernel with CWM included, and do a backup on your SD card.
After that, you can simply take the card out, and use Odin to install a fresh JB.
If you have questions, post them here.
Good luck!

Is XXLQE firmware smooth..or Ddupl8 is preferred?
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
would prefer ddulp8 (dont tried this fw). XXLQE is only smooth if you install a custom kernel like cocore ... without it have too much lags (freezing while watching videos etc)...

all the firmwares have some lags. You should install the one (if exists) coresponding to your country, root, install a custom kernel (I recommend CoCore) and uninstall or at least freeze bloatware apps.
I have for 6 months the russian LQ4, and is working great. Waiting for a stable CM or MIUI

My phone is rooted, yes.
Well.. after I rooted (back in June or May, can't remember) my phone started lagging a lot. Suddenly like when watching a video or playing a game, my device starts stuttering and touch becomes unresponsive (it happens at the randomest times). When I press the power button or the home key for example, the actions happen 30 seconds to a minute later. Screen tends to go black too. Using the app 'Fast Reboot' the problems are solved. It's really darn annoying to have a phone that doesn't do what you command.
Thanks

Well, if you are rooted, I strongly sugest you to do the following:
-install custom kernel (cocore is your best bet) - it will give you custom recovery, and that's awesome.
-install Titanium Backup and freeze or uninstall bloatware (there is somewhere around a list of safe apps to delete)
-install Greenify apps and hibernate not often used apps.
If you have questions, don't be shy and ask.

Warning: Cocore is working only on stock ROM. If you want to install on Cyanogenmod, it will brick your phone. The safest way to flash CoCore is to install the app Universal Kernel Flash. You will find it around here.
Cyanogenmod is ok as it is, with a fee bugs, and best nightly seems to be that one from 28th of September.
I was on stock for 7 months using cocore as kernel and it was ok. Now I have Paul's PAC ROM. Good, except battery life.
Good luck!

Oh! Good you told me! So if I want to flash Cyanogenmod, what should I do? I don't really know if there are other kernels, compatible with other roms, that provide CWM.

To flash Cyanogenmod:
- install Universal Kernel Flash to easy flash CoCore (you will gain CWM recovery in this way).
- flash CoCore that works for your phone (Cocore E for GT-I9070 or Cocore EP for GT-I9070P).
- reboot and see if everything is ok.
- download Cyanogenmod and Google apps from the link provided in its thread and put them in your sd card.
- boot into CWM recovery.
- make a full system backup (if something will end badly you can always restore your backup).
- wipe cache, dalvik and system from CWM.
- install ZIP from CWM (meaning flash Cyanogenmod).
- install google apps
- reboot, wait a little (around 5 minutes), and enjoy Cyanogenmod.
If something goes wrong, reboot into CWM recovery (Cyanogenmod's kernel have CWM), and restore your backup.
Good luck, mate!

It will work obviously, but it creates a few side affects. Since I have been running miui 3.7.5 for a while on the Hercules, I can tell you that pretty much any 4.1.2 aosp kernel for the skyrocket will work. Just to be safe tho, always do a backup first.

Are you just porting the this from the herc?? If so it can be done easily. PM me if you would like some tips. I could port it but others can have their chance too (in other words I'm working on something else). Any questions just ask. And btw, the boot.img is only part of the kernel. To fix rotation use the skyrocket cm10 boot.img and all the files located in system/lib/modules Might help with the vibrate too.

go for it! You know more than I do!.
Excellent! I was going to report in on the rotation issue and see it's already being worked on.... nice....
The only other thing I've found is when attempting to change the APNs... I added AT&T's 'phone' APN and set it to default, supl and modified the wap.cingular to just mms but when I attempted to connect to the new APN, settings FC'd on me. I ended up having to reset to defaults and just leaving it.... haven't tested MMS but SMS works fine.... I've rebooted a number of times and there's no issue with the 'optimizing' on bootup...
This is looking very promising....
Now I might look into yanking a 4.1.2 boot.img from somewhere and getting it in place and adding cymbaline's kernel.... that should fix the rotation issue (If I followed the thread correctly)
memory consumption seems a bit high but I haven't really gone through and debloated yet.....
So far so good!

Cymbaline is Mohan's touchwiz based kernel correct? Flashing that on a ROM with a CM base is going to have detrimental effects. I would strongly advise against it.

The consumption is normal actually lol. You don't need to debloat miui. because of the app controller. I'm fixing it right now and i'll upload this afternoon. Unless Toyes beats me to it. Lol. And just leave the APN's provided. They work for me. .-.

Oh and btw you can only MMS with one apn. I figured that out already lol..

FAQ
Q Why a special Q&T Thread for a specific ROM??
A The bigger a ROM development thread gets, the greater the chance that posts are being placed in this thread that are not related to the ROM development itself, e.g. problems with flashing, installation, bugs, things not working etc. However this is understandable, it's not according to the guidelines of XDA for Development sections (see rule number 15 of posting in a Dev's thread). Therefore the main goals of the ROM specific Q&T threads is to avoid this cluttering of the original develpment thread with these OT posts by redirecting the posters to the ROM specific Q&T thread and also to relieve the developer from answering these post, so he can dedicate his time to developing.
Q Where can I download this ROM and How do I install?
A You can find the link to download and installation instructions HERE. Pay close attention to this post, everything required for a successful flash is listed right here. If you fail to follow the instructions or meet the requirements for installation, you could run into some problems.
Q What are the known issues with these ROM's?
A Nothing known yet
Q How’s battery life?
A I see this question asked repeatedly across all ROMS. Honestly there is no way to give you an answer based on a ROM. There are too many variables in question and results vary from user to user and device to device. Battery life is going to depend on age and condition of your battery, your use habits with your device, installed apps, tweaks, settings, etc...
Q How do I...
A Ask your questions and report your issues in this thread. You will receive a response and hopefully get you back up and running this ROM to it's fullest

Did you grab the md5 files and put them in the same directories with their counterparts? Also, did you NOT grab the inverted versions? If you have the md5 files and verified they were good then you wouldn't even be able to flash the files if they were bad. You do have a tf101? I've been using the rom for a couple days and after a clean wipe and reboot it is working fine for me. It even restored my apps for me. It's got to be something on your end.

I've been using the rom for a couple days and after a clean wipe and reboot it is working fine for me. It even restored my apps for me. It's got to be something on your end.

You may have to use BRK's root toolkit to nvflash back to stock first so you can root and install custom recoveries. Then once you have twrp in place again, you'll have to start from scratch, following directions in first post of the rom thread.

What recovery are you using and what gapps? What process did you use? Are you also downloading the md5 file to the same folder with the ROM? It will tell you right away if you have a bad download as it won't even let you flash if the md5 doesn't match. All I can say is that it worked perfect for me, so give the requested details and we'll see if we can figure it out.

Yes, but I don't know what those versions are. I need you to state what recovery and what version and also which gapps you are using. I also need to know what process you used in attempting to flash the ROM. Without these, I can't be much help. It works or I wouldn't have posted it. It may not have worked for you and if you supply me the right information, I may be able to help. Otherwise, all I know to say is try to download it again and follow the instructions in the first post of the ROM thread, making sure you are using TWRP-2.6.3.10 version recovery and the mini-modular gapps package from the link there.
I'm using those both versions, the roms before This One. works well

Hi! Thanks for this amazing rom.
My tablet is very laggy with the stock UI(phablet mode)
How can i solve it? In Inmersive Mode the TF101 runs smooth as hell, but i prefer have the nav and status bar visible :crying:

Try Apex Launcher. It's what I'm using and is mostly pretty smooth. It also has an option for tablet mode, I.e. no dock row.

The only thing I see in the tablet version is under settings, a place to set or change your mood which appears to attach an emoji to your status maybe, unlike the one on my phone which allows attaching them to a text.

I'm finding that video on YouTube or rock player 2 / vlc doesn't run at normal speed. I did a full wipe before flashing.
Can anyone help resolve please?

Some minor issus
Hi
congrats on a well working rom
im very new to rom and stuff, and so far the best rom i ve tired for tf101
now my issue is with some function keys dont work by default if it might be possible to make docking keyboard function keys like wifi, mute, touch disabling ... to work?
volume, brightness works
and is there a way to have some native-stock rom applications already installed on this?
and also was wonderign if it is possible to disable the battery getting charged from docking battery or not, via software?
thanks in advance, this is by far the best rom ive come up with, all the others had issues ...
