I have some experience with odin, cwm, roms etc. My experience lies within galaxy s i9000m
I have currently been given a galaxy s II i 727r and am trying to resurrect it.
I have searched for 2 days on this. All i really need is a version of CWM i can apply with odin and a rom to get it going. After that i should be ok.
Could anyone point me in the right direction.

Could someone please steer me in the proper direction. I am trying to root and flash ANY new rom...I successfully put darkys 10.2.2 with dark core on my t959d...is there anything similar for the t989d...everywhere i have been reading just has support for the tmobile version. Darkys forum told me there is no version....im noob...but i got my old phone humming so im frustrated.
hey guys, i tried searching the forums but ended up having to post this question. is "GT-P3113_XAR_1_20120412104938_ldcgx9tzmx.zip" (found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645295) the same as "IML74K-P3113UEALCB-stock.zip" (dead link found here: http://goo.im/devs/jcase/IML74K-P3113UEALCB-stock.zip)?
just curious if they are the same because i will be reverting my galaxy tab 2 7.0 back to stock rom to send it in for repairs.
just thought i'd ask here since xda developers are the best in the biz right now.

The thing is you need to be sure it matchs your region you bought it from.
Check samsung-updates.com, they have the latest in different areas directly from the samsung kies servers.

just bought the galaxy tab 2 7.0 from Costco. I think I need the one from goo apps but link has been disabled. Wish "jcase" could reupload it.
**UPDATE**: the model # on my original box says "GT-P3113TSSXAR". SW-VER is "UEALD3". so yes, i do need the version that jcase had uploaded. damn.

I rooted the phone last nite using Odin 307.zip & CF-Auto-Root-xxxxx-etc.zip
All went well
Question are there any better mods I can use on this phone, can any one suggest some good ones along with instructions on changing the ROM and restoring my setting, and apps afterwords?
A friend of mine is using a ROM that makes the phone act like a tablet, I would like the same for my phone if available, I think it is called Paranoid android
I found a ROM I want to use Called Jedi-X 6.1.2, but cannot figure out how to apply this to my phone, can anyone please give me detailed instructions,

As of right now i dont think paranoid has a release for the bell galaxy note 2 but im sure they will in time but if i were you i would try out AOKP first...i've found their roms rather amusing but as a pro racecar drive im biased towards performance...im not really a pro racer :good:
I just recently (5 days ago) got a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1", Love it. I was just googleing info about it, found a site that referred to http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager saying that there is an "Official" release for this tablet for 6.0.3.1. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if this would work with the GT-N8013 model of the tablet? I'm a bit afraid to straight up test it out, and straight up bricking it.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10 .1 inch AT&T 4G SGH 1497 I am unable to use several features because of the 4.1 .2 apk update but more importantly I was curious if anyone was successful in installing a 4.2 .2 to this version of the tab 2 and if anyone was able to get everything working solid? I am very interested in getting this rooted but I don't want to screw up the 4G capabilities and take it off the AT&T network if anyone has any tips links or maybe I missed it in the forums on how or if its possible I would be greatly appreciative. also if you know anything about the WiFi Bluetooth problem I have another post that is directly related to this? thanks for Reading
I had no issues rooting and installing twrp/cwm, but I hard bricked one trying to install AOKP. CyanogenMod gave me the dreaded error 7. From what I understand, this hardware is nothing like the other TAB 2's. It's not looking too good lately. Imight get impatient before long and do my own de-odex and mod the systemui as well as other things. MY tab 2 is just not my main device so I haven't put allot of effort into it as yet. Someone is going to need to soon or we'll all just upgrade to something else that is better supported by dev's. I wish us luck on this device. I have googled to high hell and haven't dug up anything. Couldnt even find an odin file for 4.1.2, so I captured that one while i could and put it up for d/l. Maybe that will help someone dev on 4.1.2 at least.

I too am in this dilemma. I just purchased a Tab 2 and want to root to remove the AT&T bloatware. SGH-I497. I found this post:

But since I don't know when 4.1.2 was rolled out for the Tab 2, I don't know if this root method is valid. Help please.
