Verizon Galaxy Note 10.1 SCH-i925

Does anyone know how I can root this device? It is locked to Verizon, but if the custom roms work on it, and standard rooting works with it, then all is well.
I received this as a bogus ebay purchase. I bid on a N8000, but received this SCH-i925.. For the most part, I just want root, and am not overly concerned about custom roms... I just don't know what the differences with this model is from any of the N80** models are..

Well, the ExynosAbuse exploit worked for root, now I need to figure out how to add the Bell APN info to it.. anyone know how to enable the option to add APN info to the SCH-i925? Or if I can use the N8000 recoveries and ROMs out there?

The Verizon tablet is LTE, the 8000 is 3G so you'll probably brick your tablet if you use anything but a ROM for an LTE tablet. I'm surprised that the Exynos Abuse exploit worked since Samsung supposedly included it's patch in the version of Jellybean shipping in the Verizon LTE tablet.

The note 10.1 LTE cannot be used with another carrier in the US. Verizon won't unlock it. They say it is already unlocked so that you won't bother them anymore.

This is classic Verizon Crap, hereinafter referred to as "Satan". I don't know what deal Samsung's GT-N8020 made with the devil in the US but it is clearly only being served as a SCH-I925. I will be watching , listening and offering what ever I can to help restore order to my newly purchased Note 10.1.

This work, and I am using att(ipad sim) on it. After I edit apns-config.xml i got att h+ to work. I was wondering if any1 can shine me some light on how to enable phone.apk on this sch-i925. Then this tab can re place my phone/notebooks for school.

Soft unbrick Verizon I925
Hello guys...
First of all, let me say a big thanks for all that hard working on finding a way to unlock
It seems I have soft bricked verizon's I925 tablet while trying to add those apn's and make it work outside the US. I used CAUSAL to get it root and then I used the apn editor which made the damage.
Since there is no bootloader hack yet, I wonder if there is any way I can restore it back and have it working in any way.
I have tried via odin's utility and stock roms for N8010, but I get a fail. Does anyone has the stock verizon's rom?
I will greatly appreciate any kind of help.

Good News: The soft bricked I925 is once again working with certain limitations. I had mariosraptor (post credits to him) install a clean non verizon N8020 version on it.
Bad News: Despite the fact that sim card gets recognized, it does not gets activated. Another possible problem "haven't yet figured out" is GPS.
Things to clear out...
I really don't know if I had the bootloader changed while trying to recover it at the beginning. In Odin's download mode, the model refers as GT-N8010 and not as SCH-I925. Members can validate thought...

imor, I seem to be having the same issue, as I have also bricked my tablet. I originally rooted about two months ago using casual, and the OTA update screwed it up today. I am pretty new to this and not sure what needs to be done. I can only get my tablet to ODIN mode, and able to connect it to ODIN on my computer, but I have no idea what I am supposed to flash to the device. Any help is extremely appreciated.

So I am willing to help out and make a stock recovery and see if you restore it on your Verizon see if all your problems go away I will do this later tonight

I've had the R-760 for almost a year. I broke the data on it thought. I was dumb and flashed a USCellular stock rom. Still haven't figured out how to fix it so I'm thinking about buy the s4 when it comes out.

[Q] change network from uscellular to cspire on Galaxy S2
Okay so I'm not 100% sure if this isn't posted but i've checked and searched other threads and can't seem to find anything related to my issue. I'm fairly sure I know what to do and I'm looking for a little help with it as I've been on these forums countless times for smaller issues.
So to start the phone is a Samsung Galaxy S 2 (Model No: SCH-R760) It's supposed to be on cspire's data network but instead it only registers to USCC.net (us cellular i believe).
I know for a fact that's the problem, but I'm unsure of how to go about fixing it 100% as I've tried the default rom install using cspire's 'simple upgrade tool' and that changed nothing.
The cause was sending it in for repair and it was sent back with a US Cellular rom/network instead of Cspire, and yes I called and even left a note in the box (someone from samsung said to do that), and it still came back with us cellular and after 3 times They called me and said 'we do not carry your carriers rom. and i forgot about it, because I planned on buying a new phone, but as it is I have to use this one. It's currently activated through cspire but the data doesn't work, which is why I'm writing this post in hopes that I get a little help or at least someone who has maybe had this problem or knows how to fix it.
Want to note Phone rom is currently the correct one, (4.1.2 jellybean) but the data (which If i remember correctly i can go through odin install and install the network or something.
Apologies for long post but I'm really bad at explaining in summary.
TL;DR SCH-R760 Cspire Galaxy S2 set to network of US Cellular in phone settings and it's supposed to be cspire. Been in store, they can't do anything, need to set the data network to cspire.

So, possibly know what i need to do, Would changing the APN settings work since currently it sayas #######@uscc.net and it should be on cspire's network? given i can find the correct apn's for cspire that should fix the problem correct?
I'm rooting it tonight (btw i didn't mention this phone is 2-3 years old, or something like that so no warranty anymore)

Okay i'm definitely 100% sure this thread has naught to do with my problem. Yes it's a cspire thread for the same phone BUT not a single person in this thread has anything near the problem I have.
Whoever made my post part of a completely other thread can move it back because I have nothing similar to the one's in this post. If it's not moved back into my own thread i'll just re-post it. A friend of mine romed, and rooted the GS2 for me, but is no longer around to help, or teach me how to finish the project, i am very new at this, but know my way around the PC, Ive tried the very first step (or so i assume) to retrieve the GS2 MSL through Terminal Emulator // Connect Bot with "getprop ril.MSL", the command runs, but doesnt show the needed info. ive been trying to find a way to Flash this Boost over to this Sprint phone for weeks. I'm asking as well as apologizing if this has already been solved. I desperately need help with this. Please, and Thank You for your time.

[Q] Kitkat on I497

Hello guys,
I just rootet my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 running 4.1.2 Android from AT&T model i497.
Reading through many threads here I could not find a ROM to upgrade this to Kitkat 4.4.2. Is there an upgrade?
I should also point out that I would be totally OK using any ROM as this Tablet will not use any phone line from AT&T going forward. It will be mounted on the wall for Home Automation with just Wifi. So killing the AT&T crap software and giving me simple KitKat would be totally ok.
Any help guys here?

Doesn't look like anybody is working on this.
Let me phrase the question then differently. The I497 is from AT&T. The same or similar hardware is also provided by other phone companies or even better there are same or similar hardware versions out there without the mobile SIM card option going with simply WiFi.
Does anybody know which KitKat ROM I can install on my I497 to get it from Jellybean to KitKat even if that means I will have a Vanilla KitKat and also might loose my SIM card option? I just need WiFi on that tablet and that's it.
I am open for suggestions guys. Thanks.

It's 2016, and I need to know the truth about rooting the I925. I reset it to factory settings and here is what I have:

Is is possible to put Cyanogen on this?
I have tried several ways and the only successful way I have rooted it was King Root. But I was never able to get a recovery on there. I used Heimdall, according to the Cyanogen Website, with no success. I really thought CASUAL was the answer, but now I see that it doesn't work with the updated version. I need the pro on here to help me! I really want cyanogen on it! I am a newbie and using Windows on this..

I too fall into the same category and have not found a definite answer, has the MK1 stumped all who come against it? Or is root and unlocked b/l a trade secret? I have rooted many devices in my past from G1 to EVOs to newer devices and nothing has been more or less unknown around here like this device is....what gives??

It's hard to find a good how-to with this one it seems. There are many tutorials but usually for the other variants and not the Verizon one. The ones that seem to be for the right device use apps to install a recovery but the apps don't seem to support this model either.

I guess there is no luck for this tablet at all... I got it for cheap at this point (4 years after its release)! And there doesnt seem to be a way to even downgrade

the only thing that is achieved is to root, unfortunately there is no way to unlock the bootloader to install TWRP
I also found the 4 stock files to recover by odin, but I did not verify it
