Hi all People with S2 Skyrocket ! I need help with my new Skyrocket ! I got it today and I was surprised by finding that there was no At&t logo on the phone ! At the back it was written Galaxy S2 LTE and when i started it there also ! But in the settings its written the Device model as i727 ??? How can I check which one it is ?

You have an i727. The s2 lte is the i727. Mine has the samething that you do, s2 lte on the back.

I'm positive. You're phone looks just like mine. You can flash the jb i727 rom with odin.

It doesn't matter what text is printed on the phone. As long as the model # is i727 and it (not the logos/text, but the phone itself) looks like a skyrocket it's a skyrocket :good:

Also just FYI, some replacement screens (when changing LCD/digitizer) only have the Samsung logo at the bottom. They don't have an at&t logo.
I wouldn't miss the at&t logo if it were gone ...

I don't have this problem, but if I were in this situation, I would use ODIN to flash a ROM. You will lost everything, though.

If you're rooted, boot into CWM and clear cache and data and try restarting the tab. If that doesn't work, then do a factory reset. Last option would be to Odin. I still have the old official HC LA3 firmware if u need it, although most of us have gone over and flashed the UK ICS firmware. Don't know why Sammy hasn't given us U.S users an official American ICS release yet.

So, when the U.S. version comes out, if I have the non-rooted U.K 4.0.4 version installed, can I use Odin to install the U.S. version without root?

Hello i just purchased the Samsung Galaxy SII LTE from Rogers, and the code is SGH - I727R, assuming R is for rogers.
Is this the exact same phone as the Skyrocket, and the R is just for rogers, meaning all the rooting information and roms for the skyrocket, will work for my phone as well?

So yesterday I was running cm9 and I decided to flash a different Rom so I went onto recovery and wipe the phone and then went ahead and flashed
The redemption rom. I went ahead and waited for about 10 minutes to see if it works reboot the samsung logo came on last for like 2 seconds then the screen went blank. So now I into Odin to see if I could flash the Stock image.. when I tried that the first step goes through then I go to the second step and it fails. Here are some pics of my computer and my phone. Please help.

Never ever do that, get your sources from here, you might have repartioned your phone which is not recoverable. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709 go here and scroll down to return to stock.
L710 is the model number of the Sprint GSIII. Hopefully you can get it back with section 2 of the link posted above.
If that doesn't work use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840030 and it will unbrick your phone.
It looks like your are right ... I wanna thank you for pointing out that I was trying to install the sprint version and not the Verizon version. What relief... Thank you again.

Glad you got it working again. Just so happened to recognize the L710 model number from modifying the build.prop to get Google Wallet working. Always be sure that anything you flash for the Galaxy SIII is for the Verizon specific I535. They all look the same but can put you up #(*%*'s creek if you're not careful. I'd suggest avoiding anything that's not specifically in the Verizon Galaxy SIII sub-forums.

Customer base and update cycles are two completely different things. And judging by my coworker who has a gs3 and doesn't even know what a premuim suite update is and doesn't care, I think Verizon will be fine sending out updates whenever they want.

Just flash the rooted stock, then flash the radio and rpm. Much easier than updating and rerooting.

well, that didn't quite work
so I downloaded the file CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305 (hopefully that was the right one for 4.1.2 rooted). I booted into recovery mode, started odin. Chose PDF and selected the file, hit Start. After about 15 seconds I get a "Fail" message. Phone won't boot at all. Did I select the wrong image? How do I get my phone back?

and downloaded the For VRBMB1 (Jelly Bean 4.1.2) file. That updated correctly via Odin, and phone now reboots. Looks like it's still at 4.1.1 however....

Which android version is installed? VRUCML1 and VRUCNC1 4.3 are bootloader locked and so is VRUDNE1 4.4.2. No XDA exploit exists to unlock the bootloader on these firmware. Only way is to pay a $50 fee to MobileTechVideos to downgrade the firmware then unlock the bootloader.

If you power off the device, then power it back on, you should see the words "Samsung" first. If they stay on the screen for more than 2 seconds, then it's locked down. If it flashes by almost instantly, then you're unlocked.

I just went n purchased the Tmobile S3 lol.. i m gonna return the Verizon S3 its too limited. worse than the iphone. its also a battery hog.

I've had those issues with every rom no matter what android version it's on. There's always ways to improve it but in all reality it's all in how much and how you use your phone
