Hope I'm not too late to help but I'm really a huge fan of them. Getting my accessories since my S2 to S3 and now for Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Their prices are good, ship fast and respond to my every emails. But I do wish a lot more brands and selection to come as their product range is not wide enough. :highfive: Otherwise I could buy all my stuff in one store instead of several stores among the world.

[Q] Upgrade : Galaxy Nexus I9250 or Xperia SL - which one should i opt for

Dear Members,
I have been using Samsung Galaxy S I9000 for the past couple of years. Recently it fell down and the display was broken, Samsung Service centre told me it will cost me 6500 INR to get it replaced. So I decided to upgrade. After looking at options, I have zeroed in on 2 models.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus I9250
or
Sony Xperia SL
I am quite satisfied with both the android phones when it comes to specs. But I am just worried about the issues with them. One of my friend bought Nexus and he always complains that the volume is really low. I have also read in many places about the same issue which is holding me back from buying it.
When it comes to Xperia SL, there are a lot of complaints about the battery life and poor viewing angles in the absence of Amoled.
I am from India, but I am traveling to Duabi next month and will buy the phone there. There is not a big difference in the pricing between the two.
I just cannot come to a conclusion which one should i buy.
Any suggestions will be really appreciated.

[Q] Free accessories with phone

A lot of carriers and 3rd parties are offering free accessories as incentives these days.
I was wondering what, if anything at all, people have received or been offered with the LG G flex 2.
I was given;
LG Folio Quickcircle case worth £12-£20 ($17-$30)
and
LG Musicflow P7 portable speaker worth £150 ($220)
I'll update this post with links when I'm allowed to but for now Google can help you find them
So, what kind of accessories have you seen or received with the G flex 2?
I got the same as you from carphone warehouse in the uk. The offer was available to people who preordered the g flex 2.
By the way. How do you find your music flow speaker?. I find battery life a bit rubbish but great sounding little speaker in general...
G Watch R here, Pre-order Vodafone
They offered us nothing here in the US.. we always get screwed over, "land of the free" my ass.

I didn't preorder, I just went into the shop last week and got them for free.
I haven't had much use for the speaker yet so can't comment on battery life.
Sound wise it's brilliant for something so small, could be a little louder but I've got a full pa system if I want loud
I found I can use the speaker with my TV too... I don't think I'll be doing that again.

How do you find the G watch for day to day use?
I've been looking at a few smart watches but can't decide if I actual want one.

I feel your pain, this is the first time I've actually got anything free with a phone other than a bad tariff.
To be honest though, having looked in depth at moving to the US, you get much better deals on contracts and "all you can eat" data is far more widely available.

I was dubious to whether I would actually use it after the 'first week new toy' thing, but I have become almost dependant on it.
Excellent for use at work, out and about and generally round the house.
Can't recommend it highly enough!
In Singapore, they gave out free OEM tempered glass screen protector.

Where are you buying the Medipad X2/Honor X2 from?

Hey guys,
I think most of us outside China/HK are importing the X2 from eBay sellers or Chinese e-commerce shops like Aliexpress, Gizok, Ainol-Novo etc. I'm trying to figure out which sellers you've had a good experience with buying, in terms of getting the product on time, in good conditions, and properly set up with the Google Play App store and configured with English (or your native language) as the default language.
I wanted to ask where you guys are buying from, as I prefer to buy from reputed retailers with clear policies on returns and support, but these things are pretty murky when you're importing from a China/HK-based seller.
I'm in Canada, so when I buy, I'll need to consider both the reliability of the seller plus customs fees, so I'd like to hear from you guys before I make my decision.

Did you have to pay customs fees in the US? I have considered getting it shipped to the US and having a friend bring it over to Canada.
Which carrier are you on? Are youbgetting 4G or HSDPA speeds? I've heard of US users having issues with SMS, but maybe those have been fixed with firmware updates.

I bought mine off eBay from zomlong-trading. I had it within a week. They shipped it DHL and it had the Play Store and Google Services preinstalled. Somehow, it arrived with an already unlocked bootloader. My buddy just bought a Mediapad M2 from Gizok. I'll post back when his arrives.

I should have went with that for a few extra bucks. Unlocked bootloader is the winner for me. Out the box ready to mod.

I'm interested in buying a X2 or M2. I would be very interested in your comparison between them. I have read the hype, but being metal cased, does the M2 suffer from worse connectivity in poor reception areas?

He ordered his when Gizok had them in stock and hasn't received it yet. They said it was out of stock but when he placed his order it said it was in stock. So he is giving them another week to get it in Stock and if not he said hes placing the order on ebay. The metal casing doesn't interfere with the signal at all. If you plan on using it as a phone get the X2. The M2 is way bigger and wont fit in your pocket at all. The M2 is good if you just want a tablet and don't care about having a phone. Personally I'd go for the X2.
Does the MediaPad M2 have a phone function as well?

I want a one device does all when travelling and I got a big pocket. Mainly sat-nav (with traffic via internet), occasional in-cab phone (via blue-tooth hands-free) and tablet/phone when I'm resting.

The M2 is more a pure tablet. 8", bigger in size and also has less big battery ( 4500mah ). No phone calling capability ( only LTE etc ).
The X2 is more functional and fits more the tablet/phone profile. The M2 is pure and simple a tablet.

I read conflicting information regarding the M2 phone calling capability.
The Huawei M2 User Guide details how "selected models" make phone calls.
I would only be interested in phone-calling M2 "selected models".
I agree X2 is less ambiguous in that respect.
I am pretty sure the LTE version of the M2 has a phone function. The confusion comes from the fact that the M2 is also available in a WiFi only version.
I just made a mockup of the M2 in plywood to judge how it feels in the hand compared to the X2 and it is actually pretty good.
I am using a Sony SBH52 Bluetooth handset when I use the X2 as a phone and I can do the same with the M2. I think the extra screen real estate will make a real difference in useability.
The slighty smaller battery will not make a difference I think.

Are you sure about the size? http://www.phonearena.com/phones/size/Huawei-MediaPad-M2,Huawei-MediaPad-X2/phones/9531,9277
Its a massive difference between the two... Also the weight sees a big increase.
The m2 is really a tablet, not a phone/tablet. I also see no mention about phone capability on the LTE version. You can have phone capability is if you some 3th party solution, like Skype + fixed number. But that is a bit of a detour.
Battery... it will have a effect. Sure, its only 200mAh less, but its also powering now a 8" screen. So all in all, you get a bigger tablet, with less battery power. All that for just 1" more... To me, the m2 just serves a different market.
Edit: I just tried the X2 vs M2 in hand holding using a quick mock up ( using the phonearea comparison ) and while i have big hands, the extra size on the m2 makes it impossible to hold it in one hand ( for me ).
Like Benjiro said, here is the difference in size between the two. I'd get the X2 unless you're looking for just a tablet for around the house.
There are several videos on YouTube that show the M2 with a Dialer/Phone App on the homescreen. Also the LTE version has two SIM slots and I have never seen a tablet with two SIM slots just for data.
The point I am making is that I use the X2 more as a tablet than a phone and then the M2 makes more sense.
I have used an iPad Mini in the past as my main tablet and the M2 actually has a larger screen and is smaller in width so is darke to hold in your hand.
With the X2 I still tend to get my iPad Air 2 for certain tasks and I think the M2 can be my one and only device.
This seller is selling the 32GB Gem-703L Gold version for $409.99 with free shipping.

Why did you have to point that out? I guess the 16GB model will be going on eBay.

Still a good buy

I've been wanting an Huawei Watch 2 for the longest time and with the holidays coming up I'm able to snatch a new huawei classic 2 for 180. Is this still a good buy ? Should I wait for the next smartwatch ? Opinions welcome !
I got mine for about the same price a year ago around black Friday so that's really not a deal considering it's a year later. I'd wait and opt for a snapdragon 3100 watch at this point. I like my classic but just can't see getting a new one right now
I think only Mont blanc has a 3100 chip one out now but it's a thousand dollars. I'd wait for Google, they helped develop that chip. But it's going to be not as cheap as Huawei, just like pixel phone etc. It might be months away too.
Could get a cheap Huawei on eBay, from someone selling stuff for a long time with 100% star rating. Look for a week or two and you'll get if you pounce quick, for cheap. Then can sell it next year at cost or slight loss.
I have just got a new BT sport for 99.99£ from ebay resellers so surely watch for cheaper ones and you will find!

And how come the new gt is good? Wont even display ur WhatsApp or messenger or any other 3rd party app... I would say the Huawei watch 2 is far better option than this
He said "bt sport", not gt.
BT = Bluetooth Sport Huawei watch 2,
not the LTE 4G sport model.
