Xoom hardware - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone help... I have a rooted Xoom mz604. When I check my hardware it says I have stingray hardware, but I have been installing wingray custom ROMs. Should I be installing stingray ROMs instead?

(Q) how to return 3g to stock form...or at least a ROM that will allow 3g to work.

What method or rom could I flash to enable 3g to work? I missed the 4g upgrade and have just been flashing WiFi (wingray) ROMs since, but if I sell this thing, I'd want the buyer to be able to use their data plan if they had one.
Thanks

Assuming you have an MZ601 xoom then the everest Roms are what you are looking for.
Mine is a us 3, believe it's a 600

But will it work for the Family Edition Xoom? It has a locked bootloader and has slightly different software.

which version i need for eos 3 ???
Try the MZ604. It's the 4G version but in theory should support the 3g only version. The worst that can happen is a boot loop and then your restore the backup you made prior to flashing.

The stock LTE Xooms are on 4.0, ICS. Don't hold your breath for JB.:crying:
Being that the xoom was a google experience device you'd think they would still be supporting it, but it seems to be gone. If you really want 4.2.2 I would suggest jumping onto the rooting train and grabing EOS, etc.
No JB for Xoom MZ601
On the forumsite of Motorola you can find that our Xoom will stay on ICS 4.0.4.
So end of the story from Motorola.
