[Q] Record talking in your sleep

Just spent 30mins trawling the market for an app that records your talking in your sleep.
Found a few but with crap reviews.
Just want a recorder that switches on if it hears a noise, then closes off after a given period of time.
Anyone know of such an app?
Cheers

Should not have been so hasty...
Think I've found what I want
RL Watcher
Still, if you know of any others, please let me know.
Sleep as an Droid does this, quite successfully, although it's main purpose is sleep tracking and it's not free ($1.5).
Haha what a cooL idea i will test it this night

Had a look at this myself but got frightened off after reading some of the services that are accessed after installation:-
Services that cost you money
Directly call phone numbers
Send SMS messages

Yeah, it gives you the option to send recordings via email and also alert of events via SMS or phone call. - Not that I'm gonna use any of that.
I did use it last night and it seems OK, but just been looking at Sleep as a Droid as recommended above and it looks great. Don't mind paying for a decent app

Google Now notifications ?

Hi all
After trying the lg G WATCH for a few days before returning it, I really miss the googlenow notifications on the SW2.
I have tried Augmented app, but aesthetically it is horrible, so has anybody found a notification app that includes Google Now.
Cheers
Apps like watchit does the job

Unless I'm configuring it incorrectly, Watchit and watchify only say there's one alert rather than presenting the actual alert.
I will look at Notify

Yes, I found this, but like the others, didn't appear to handle Google Now cards. I've tried about 6, but not very scientifically, so perhaps I've rushed the tests a little, I certainly can't recall which did what.
Will give it another try this evening thanks
Lightflow can do this. You can set which cards do and do not get sent to the watch. It comes across as text, not an interactive card (but I don't think any app does the interactive card thing) . Plus lightflow is awesome for your phone notifications.
Light Flow!
If you purchase the full version of light flow you can push alot of notifications to your watch, including google now.

Bugger! Just bought Notifier Pro, and this doesn't do cards at all.
Will check out LF

"Wearable Widgets" shows any widget on the watch. But no interaction with the widget.

Well I tried the full version, and it's certainly a well presented app, but couldn't get cards to work, so got it refunded.

Doesn't it push the notifications? Or are you looking for something more then just getting the notification, like actual swipe away cards?

Hi, though cards would be nice, I would be happy with a text style alert/headline for each google now card. For me the whole purpose of the smart watch is to leave the phone in my pocket as much as possible. I like the cards but many are irrelevant or not urgent (like many texts and most FB posts) so if I can casually glance at my watch to confirm this, then it's work is done.
and no, it didn't appear to push the alerts individually.

It does. I do it. You need to go into settings and switch on what you want to come across. It works well - it even sends me traffic alerts while driving.

Then I will buy and try again, I was most impressed with it's configuration anyway. Will let you know how it goes, thanks
Apps like e.g. WatchIt have two different methods of getting the notifications from the phone to the watch: Notification access (under Security settings) and Accessibility. Only the latter one can get Toasts and thus Google Now cards. At least it was like this for me.
OK, I give up, I will live without GNow notifications till the Moto is on my wrist.
THanks for the suggestions

Maybe - try just opening the Voice-Recorder app and if you connect your Loudspeaker/Headphone, don't choose HEADPHONE to make this work. Choose LOUDSPAEKER as recogniƶed device.

I would also love this... I think the ball is in googles court on this one and I'm very sad about it.. Does hangouts offer the option for client support? If not then we will have to wait for an official release from Google which will probably never happen

Whenever I download Android Wear, I no longer get notifications for Hangouts at all. Using a Galaxy S6 Edge+
I will take a look at it. Google does not open api for it, so there won't be standalone app. Is it enough if you can send messages to your friends? And no, I'm not talking about replying to a notification. You can send new message when you want to

With 3G it doesn't really feel like you're tethered. What is a tease though is you know your watch is capable of acquiring all the messages for both hangouts and Whatsapp bc if you hit "View more" it downloads the entire conversation. If only you could cache that and re-open it at a later time...even that would be a huge improvement. If only I had more time to tinker :crying:

Agreed, it seems like they engineered a solution but didn't think it necessary to provide it as a feature.
Perhaps our resident S2 developer tipztv could use this to hack a solution for standalone hangouts and whatsapp too!

[APP][4.4+] Auto-Reply to Whatsapp, Slack, Email & more [BETA]

Hey all - been working on this off and on for a while but I've finally got it in a place where it works to how I envisioned it so I'm super excited to share it with you all!
These days people expect instant replies to their instant messages & it's not always possible to oblige.
Texting & driving is dangerous, your boss probably isn't keen on your messaging at work, you might be in a meeting, you might have left your phone to go workout.. Fortunately, in any given situation, Can't Talk will respond for you.
Let people know you're busy, you're driving, you're in a meeting, you'll get back to them later.. You set the message, you set who & via which apps to respond to & Can't Talk does the rest.
It's "out of office" but not just limited to email. Whatsapp, Slack, SMS, missed calls, Telegram, Hangouts, Allo.. any app that let's you send a quick reply via it's notification - Can't Talk can respond to.
Features of note:
- You can auto reply to sms & missed calls as well as app notifications
- You can specify which apps can be replied to
- You can specific which contacts can be auto-replied to (this includes across apps like Whatsapp etc..)
- You get to specify the message that gets sent.
Features of note to come:
- Multiple profiles - so you can create a "work profile" or a "home profile" or a "driving profile" with specific responses/settings
- Contextual Switching - the ability to automatically turn profiles on & off depending on whether you're driving, in the office, at home etc..
- Contact specific responses
At this stage I'd really love your feedback on the app so far (this is a beta so there may be bugs) & more specifically what more would you want from an app like this?
Any and all feedback/suggestions would be hugely appreciated!
Beta on the Play Store here
Huge update now on the Play Store
Added support for messaging apps such as Whatsapp, Hangouts etc..
Fixed a number of bugs
Added support for contact specific replies
Would love ANY feedback on the app! Happy Friday everyone!!
New update will be on the Play Store shortly, lots of bug fixes & a much tidier UI ??
Nice app but second reply time is 12 min after the first reply to the same person that not good. it should be the frequent reply. or is it work without the internet?

Thanks for the feedback! Was it a reply to the same message, & which app was it replying too (whatsapp, sms, etc)? There is a setting under Advanced Settings to change the reply frequency, it defaults to 15 minutes meaning it'll auto reply to any NEW messages you receive from the same contact or app after 15 minutes.
If you have a better idea about how reply frequency should work I'm all ears Maybe people want the option to reply to 1 contact 1 time ever, until the app is switched off?
New beta is up! Ton of bug fixes, some layout improvements.. Feedback as always is encourage
Messenger?
Does this (can this) work with Facebook Messenger?
Finally an extremely useful app thank you...

Interesting application buddy. Love the opening animations.
One thing I found annoying, is that for almost anything I changed, there was no "Save" button. Thus I had to first click "Back" arrow and then a prompt would ask if I want to save or discard. Could have used only a single click if there was a "Save" button.
Also, there needs to be some modification for the secondary text field, e.g. Apps Secondary or Advanced Secondary.

How would you know who had joined the beta, though? When I click the "Become a tester" button on the play store, does it send my email to the developer?
after I have enabled Notification Access, it is consuming 310MB RAM in a 3GB RAM Device, is it normal?

Hi
This looks a very interesting app but I don't seem to be able to download it. There is no Install button on the app page.
Sounds nice, gonna give it a whirl
I joined the beta program through the app in the store instead of the link in the op, is it ok? Since that was a browser redirect and sign in page, so i just took a shortcut.

That's an excellent point - tbh the app actually left beta yesterday & I'd actually forgot to remove that caption from the OP ?
However since it was mentioned in the Portal post more people have downloaded & I'm guessing that's a big part of the reason so I'll honour that commitment.
Let's say.. anyone who's commented on the thread or liked the OP I'll send a promo code to. Anyone left hanging in 2 weeks (when the trial expires) will hopefully email me & they'll get one too. Unless anyone has a better way to go about it? ?

Tbh mate I've not looked at RAM usage at all seeing as the app does nothing in the background whatsoever - until you receive a notification/SMS etc.. although judging by my other app ReadItToMe that sounds about right.
I'll do some testing but unless it's causing you an issue I wouldn't worry
